Vuttañhi “ekarukkhopi dvinna½s²m±na½ nimitta½ hoti, so pana va¹¹hanto s²masaªkara½ karoti, tasm± na k±tabbo”ti.“Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, tiyojanaparama½ s²ma½ bandhitun”ti (mah±va. 140) vacanatopic±ya½ ñ±pito. Tiyojanaparam±ya hi s²m±ya samant± pariyantesu rukkhalat±gumb±d²hibaddhag±mas²m±na½ niyamena aññamañña½ sambandhassa sambhavato “²disa½ sambandha½ vin±setv±vas²m± sammannitabb±”ti aµµhakath±yampi na vutta½.
Yadi cettha rukkh±disambandhena kammavipatti bhaveyya, avassameva vattabba½ siy±. Vipattiparih±ratthañhi±cariy± nir±saªkaµµh±nesupi “bhitti½ akittetv±”ti-±din± siddhamevattha½ punappuna½avocu½, idha pana “vanamajjhe vih±ra½ karonti, vana½ na kittetabban”ti-±din± rukkhalat±d²hinirantare vanamajjhepi s²m±bandhanamavocu½. Mah±s²m±sodhanassa dukkarat±ya khaº¹as²m±yameva yebhuyyena saªghakammakaraºanti ±ha “s²mam±¼ake”ti-±di.Mah±saªghasannip±tesu pana khaº¹as²m±ya appahonakat±ya mah±s²m±ya kamme kariyam±nepiaya½ nayo gahetabbova. Ukkhip±petv±ti imin± k±yapaµibaddhena s²ma½ phusantopis²maµµhova hot²ti dasseti. Purimanayep²ti khaº¹as²mato mah±s²ma½ paviµµhas±kh±nayepi.S²maµµharukkhas±kh±ya nisinno s²maµµhova hot²ti ±ha ‘hatthap±sameva ±netabbo”ti.Ettha ca “rukkhas±kh±d²hi aññamaññasambandh±su et±su khaº¹as²m±ya tayo bhikkh³, mah±s²m±yadveti eva½ dv²su s²m±su s²mantarika½ aphusitv±, hatthap±sañca avijahitv± µhitehipañcahi bhikkh³hi upasampad±di kamma½ k±tu½ vaµµat²”ti keci vadanti, ta½ na yutta½“n±n±s²m±ya½ µhitacatuttho kamma½ kareyya, akamma½ na ca karaº²yan”ti-±divacanato(mah±va. 389). Yadi eva½ katha½ chandap±risuddhi-±haraºavasena mah±s²m±sodhananti? Tampi vinayaññ³ na icchanti,hatthap±s±nayanabahis²makaraºavasena panettha sodhana½ icchanti, dinnassapi chandassa n±gamanena mah±s²maµµho kamma½ kopet²ti. Yadi cassa chand±di n±gacchati, katha½ sokamma½ kopessat²ti? Dvinna½ visabh±gas²m±na½ sambandhadosato, so ca sambandhadosoaµµhakath±vacanappam±ºato. Na hi vinaye sabbattha yutti sakk± ñ±tu½ buddhagocaratt±tiveditabba½. Keci pana “sace dvepi s²m±yo p³retv± nirantara½ µhitesu bhikkh³sukamma½ karontesu ek±ya eva s²m±ya gaºo ca upasampad±pekkho ca anuss±vako caekato tiµµhati kamma½ sukatameva hoti. Sace pana kamm±raho v± anuss±vako v±s²mantaraµµho hoti, kamma½ vipajjat²”ti vadanti, tañca baddhas²mag±mas²m±disabh±gas²m±sueva yujjati. Y±su aññamañña½ rukkh±disambandhesupi doso natthi, y±su pana atthi,na t±su, visabh±gas²m±su rukkh±disambandhe sati ekattha µhito itaraµµh±na½ kamma½ kopetieva aµµhakath±ya s±maññato sodhanassa vuttatt±ti amh±ka½ khanti, v²ma½sitv± gahetabba½.
S±ratthad²paniya½ (s±rattha. µ². mah±vagga 3.138) “ukkhip±petv± k±tu½ na vaµµat²tikhaº¹as²m±ya anto µhitatt± rukkhassa tattha µhito hatthap±sameva ±netabboti ukkhip±petv±k±tu½ na vaµµat²”ti vutta½. Vajirabuddhiµ²k±ya½ (vajira. µ². mah±vagga 138) pana“ukkhip±petv± k±tu½ na vaµµati, kasm±? Anto µhitatt±. Rukkhassa hi heµµh±pathav²gata½ m³la½ khaº¹as²m±yeva hoti. Abboh±rika½ v±ti apare. ‘Majjhe pana chinnemah±s²m±ya µhita½ m³la½ mah±s²mameva bhajati, khaº¹as²m±ya µhita½ khaº¹as²mameva bhajati tad±yattapathav²-±d²hianuggahitatt±’ti ca vutta½. ‘S²m±ya pacch± uµµhitarukkhe nis²ditv± kamma½k±tu½ vaµµati pacch± s²m±ya½ katagehe viy±’ti vatv± ‘bandhanak±le µhite rukkhe nis²ditv±k±tu½ na vaµµati uparis²m±ya agamanato’ti k±raºa½ vadanti. Eva½ sati bandhanak±le puna ±rohaºa½ n±ma natthi, bandhitak±le eva ±rohat²ti ±pajjatipacch± uµµhitarukkho pana tappaµibaddhatt± s²m±saªkhameva gato. Eva½ pubbe uµµhitarukkhop²tigahetabba½. “Ya½ kiñc²”ti vacanato tiº±dipi saªgahita½, mah±ther±pi tiºa½ sodhetv±vakaront²”ti vutta½.
Na otarat²ti paºavasaºµh±napabbat±d²su heµµh± pam±ºarahita½ µh±na½ na otarati. Kiñc±pipanettha bajjham±nakkhaºe uddhampi pam±ºarahitapabbat±di n±rohati, tath±pi ta½ pacch± s²maµµhat±yas²m± hoti. Ya½ pana “ito gatan”ti v± “tato ±gatan”ti v± vattu½ asakkuºeyya½ ubhosu baddhas²mag±mas²m±suudakukkhepanad²-±d²su ca tiriya½ patitarajjudaº¹±di, tattha ki½ k±tabbanti? Etthapana “baddhas²m±ya patiµµhitabh±go baddhas²m±, g±mas²m±ya patiµµhitabh±go g±mas²m± tadubhayas²maµµhapabbat±diviya, baddhas²mato uµµhitavaµarukkhassa p±rohe, g±mas²m±ya g±mas²mato uµµhitavaµarukkhassa p±roheca baddhas²m±ya patiµµhitepi eseva nayo. M³le patiµµhitak±lato paµµh±ya hi‘ito gata½, tato ±gatan’ti vattu½ asakkuºeyyato so bh±go yath±paviµµhas²maµµhasaªkhameva gacchati.Tesa½ rukkhap±roh±na½ antar± pana ±k±saµµhas±kh± bh³miya½ s²m±paricchedappam±ºena tadubhayas²m±hot²”ti keci vadanti. Yasm± panass± s±kh±ya p±roho paviµµhas²m±ya pathaviya½ m³lehipatiµµhahitv±pi y±va s±kha½ vin± µh±tu½ na sakkoti, t±va m³las²maµµhata½ na vijahati.Yad± pana saºµh±tu½ sakkoti, tad±pi p±rohamattameva paviµµhas²mata½ samupeti, tasm± sabbopi±k±saµµhas±kh±bh±go purimas²maµµhata½ na vijahati tato ±gatabh±gassa avijahitatt±ti amh±ka½khanti. Udakukkhepanad²-±d²supi eseva nayo. Tattha ca visabh±gas²m±ya eva paviµµhe sakalas²m±sodhana½,sabh±g±ya paviµµhe phusitv± µhitamattabhikkhusodhanañca sabba½ pubbe vuttanayameva.
164. Ettha ca nad²p±ras²m±kath±ya p±rayat²ti ajjhottharati. Nadiy± ubhosu t²resupatiµµhaham±n± s²m± nad²-ajjhotthar± n±ma hot²ti ±ha “nadi½ ajjhottharam±nan”ti.Antonadiyañhi s²m± na otarati. Nad²lakkhaºe pana asati otarati. S± ca tad± nad²p±ras²m±na hot²ti ±ha “nadiy± lakkhaºa½ nad²nimitte vuttanayamev±”ti. Ass±ti bhaveyya.Avassa½ labbhaneyy± pana dhuvan±v±va hot²ti sambandho. Na n±v±y±ti imin± n±va½ vin±pis²m± baddh± subaddh± eva hoti, ±pattiparih±ratth± n±v±ti dasseti.
Rukkhasaªgh±µamayoti anekarukkhe ekato ghaµetv± katasetu. Rukkha½ chinditv± katotip±µhaseso. “Sabbanimitt±na½ anto µhitabhikkh³ hatthap±se katv±ti ida½ ubhinna½t²r±na½ ekag±makhettabh±va½ sandh±ya vutta½. Pabbatasaºµh±n±ti ekatouggatad²pasikharatt± samantap±s±dik±ya½ vutta½.

Tattheva yebhuyyena avippav±s±ti.Avippav±sa½ aj±nant±p²ti ida½ mah±s²m±ya vijjam±n±vijjam±natta½, tass± b±hiraparicchedañcaaj±nant±na½ vasena vutta½. Eva½ aj±nantehipi antos²m±ya µhatv± kammav±c±ya kat±yas± s²m± sam³hat±va hot²ti ±ha “sam³hanituñceva bandhituñca sakkhissant²”ti.Nir±saªkaµµh±neti khaº¹as²m±rahitaµµh±ne. S²m±sambheda½ katv±ti khaº¹as²m±yavijjam±napakkhe s²m±ya s²ma½ ajjhottharaºasambheda½ katv± avijjam±napakkhepi sambhedasaªk±yaanivattanena sambhedasaªka½ katv±. Avih±ra½ kareyyunti saªghakamm±n±raha½ kareyyu½.Pubbe hi cetiyaªgaº±dinir±saªkaµµh±ne kamma½ k±tu½ sakk±, id±ni tampi vin±sitantiadhipp±yo. Na sam³hanitabb±ti khaº¹as²ma½ aj±nantehi na sam³hanitabb±. Ubhopina j±nant²ti ubhinna½ padesaniyama½ v± t±sa½ dvinnampi v± aññatar±ya v± vijjam±nata½v± avijjam±nata½ v± na j±nanti, sabbattha saªk± eva hoti. Neva sam³hanitu½, na bandhitu½sakkhissant²ti ida½ nir±saªkaµµh±ne µhatv± sam³hanitu½ sakkont±pi mah±s²ma½ paµibandhitu½na sakkhissant²ti imamattha½ sandh±ya vutta½. Keci pana “²disesupi vih±resu chapañcamatte bhikkh³ gahetv± vih±rakoµito paµµh±yavih±raparikkhepassa anto ca bahi ca samant± le¹¹up±te sabbattha mañcappam±ºe ok±senirantara½ µhatv± paµhama½ avippav±sas²ma½, tato sam±nasa½v±sakas²mañca sam³hananavasena s²m±yasamuggh±te kate tasmi½ vih±re khaº¹as²m±ya, mah±s²m±ya v± µhitavijjam±natte satiavassa½ ekasmi½ mañcaµµh±ne t±sa½ majjhagat± te bhikkh³ t± sam³haneyyu½, tato g±mas²m±eva avasisseyya. Aµµhakath±ya½ ‘khaº¹as²ma½ pana j±nant±avippav±sa½ aj±nant±pi sam³hanituñceva bandhituñca sakkhissant²’ti eva½ mah±s²m±ya paricchedassaaj±nanepi sam³hananassa vuttatt± g±mas²m±ya eva ca avasiµµh±ya tattha yath±ruci duvidhampis²ma½ bandhituñceva upasampad±dikamma½ k±tuñca vaµµat²”ti vadanti, ta½ yutta½ viyadissati, v²ma½sitv± gahetabbanti vimativinodaniya½ (vi. vi. µ². mah±vagga 2.144)±gato vinicchayo. S±ratthad²paniya½ (s±rattha. µ². mah±vagga 3.144) pana “avippav±sas²m±na sam³hantabb±ti mah±s²ma½ sandh±ya vadati. Nir±saªkaµµh±nesu µhatv±ti cetiyaªgaº±d²na½khaº¹as²m±ya anok±satt± vutta½. Khaº¹as²mañhi bandhant± t±disa½ µh±na½ pah±ya aññasmi½vivitte ok±se bandhanti. Appeva n±ma sam³hanitu½ sakkhissant²ti avippav±sas²ma½yevasam³hanitu½ sakkhissanti, na khaº¹as²ma½. Paµibandhitu½ pana na sakkhissantev±ti khaº¹as²m±ya½aññ±tatt± na sakkhissanti. Na sam³hanitabb±ti khaº¹as²ma½ aj±nantehi na sam³hanitabb±”tivutta½.
