Pubbe kira ańńataro r±j± tattha uyy±nak²¼anattha½ ±gato, sur±madena matto div±seyya½ supi, parijanopissa sutto r±j±ti pupphaphal±d²hi palobhiyam±no ito cito ca pakkami. Tena vutta½– “atha kho ±yasm± dabbo mallaputto…pe… bhatt±ni ca uddisitun”ti. Atha na½ bhagav± “s±dhu s±dhu dabb±”ti sampaha½setv± yasm± arahati evar³po agatigamanaparib±hiro bhikkhu im±ni dve µh±n±ni vic±retu½, tasm± “tena hi tva½ dabba saŖghassa sen±sanańca pańńapehi bhatt±ni ca uddis±”ti ±ha. Bhagavato paccassos²ti bhagavato vacana½ pati-assosi abhimukho assosi, sampaµicch²ti vutta½ hoti.
Paµhama½ dabbo y±citabboti kasm± bhagav± y±c±peti? Garahamocanattha½. Passati hi bhagav± “an±gate dabbassa ima½ µh±na½ niss±ya mettiyabhumajak±na½ vasena mah±-upaddavo uppajjissati, tatra keci garahissanti ‘aya½ tuŗh²bh³to attano kamma½ akatv± kasm± ²disa½ µh±na½ vic±ret²’ti. Tato ańńe vakkhanti ‘ko imassa doso eteheva y±citv± µhapito’ti eva½ garahato muccissat²”ti. Eva½ garahamocanattha½ y±c±petv±pi puna yasm± asammate bhikkhusmi½ saŖghamajjhe kińci kathayam±ne khiyyanadhammo uppajjati “aya½ kasm± saŖghamajjhe ucc±sadda½ karoti, issariya½ dasset²”ti. Sammate pana kathente “m±yasmanto kińci avacuttha, sammato aya½, kathetu yath±sukhan”ti vatt±ro bhavanti. Asammatańca abh³tena abbh±cikkhantassa lahuk± ±patti hoti dukkaµamatt±. Sammata½ pana abbh±cikkhato garukatar± p±cittiy±patti hoti. Atha sammato bhikkhu ±pattiy± garukabh±vena ver²hipi duppadha½siyataro hoti, tasm± ta½ ±yasmanta½ sammann±petu½ “byattena bhikkhun±”ti-±dim±ha. Ki½ pana dve sammutiyo ekassa d±tu½ vaµµant²ti? Na kevala½ dve, sace pahoti, teras±pi d±tu½ vaµµanti. Appahont±na½ pana ek±pi dvinna½ v± tiŗŗa½ v± d±tu½ vaµµati.
382. Sabh±g±nanti guŗasabh±g±na½, na mittasanthavasabh±g±na½. Tenev±ha “ye te bhikkh³ suttantik± tesa½ ekajjhan”ti-±di Y±vatik± hi suttantik± honti, te uccinitv± ekato tesa½ anur³pameva sen±sana½ pańńapeti; eva½ ses±na½. K±yada¼h²bahul±ti k±yassa da¼h²bh±vakaraŗabahul±, k±yaposanabahul±ti attho. Im±yapime ±yasmanto ratiy±ti im±ya saggamaggassa tiracch±nabh³t±ya tiracch±nakath±ratiy±. Acchissant²ti viharissanti.
Tejodh±tu½ sam±pajjitv± tenev±loken±ti tejokasiŗacatutthajjh±na½ sam±pajjitv± vuµµh±ya abhińń±ń±ŗena aŖgulijalana½ adhiµµh±ya teneva tejodh±tusam±pattijanitena aŖgulij±l±loken±ti attho. Aya½ pana therassa ±nubh±vo nacirasseva sakalajambud²pe p±kaµo ahosi, ta½ sutv± iddhip±µih±riya½ daµµhuk±m± apisu bhikkh³ sańcicca vik±le ±gacchanti. Te sańcicca d³re apadisant²ti j±nant±va d³re apadisanti. Katha½? “Amh±ka½ ±vuso dabba gijjhak³µe”ti imin± nayena.
AŖguliy± jalam±n±ya purato purato gacchat²ti sace eko bhikkhu hoti, sayameva gacchati. Sace bah³ honti, bah³ attabh±ve nimmin±ti. Sabbe attan± sadis± eva sen±sana½ pańńapenti.
Aya½ mańcoti-±d²su pana there “aya½ mańco”ti vadante nimmit±pi attano attano gatagataµµh±ne “aya½ mańco”ti vadanti; eva½ sabbapadesu. Ayańhi nimmit±na½ dhammat±–
“Ekasmi½ bh±sam±nasmi½, sabbe bh±santi nimmit±;
ekasmi½ tuŗhim±s²ne, sabbe tuŗh² bhavanti te”ti.
Yasmi½ pana vih±re mańcap²µh±d²ni na parip³ranti, tasmi½ attano ±nubh±vena p³renti. Tena nimmit±na½ avatthukavacana½ na hoti.
Sen±sana½ pańńapetv± punadeva ve¼uvana½ pacc±gacchat²ti tehi saddhi½ janapadakatha½ kathento na nis²dati, attano vasanaµµh±nameva pacc±gacchati.
383. Mettiyabh³majak±ti mettiyo ceva bh³majako ca, chabbaggiy±na½ aggapuris± ete. L±mak±ni ca bhatt±n²ti sen±san±ni t±va navak±na½ l±mak±ni p±puŗant²ti anacchariyameta½. Bhatt±ni pana sal±k±yo pacchiya½ v± c²varabhoge v± pakkhipitv± ±lo¼etv± ekameka½ uddharitv± pańń±penti, t±nipi tesa½ mandapuńat±ya l±mak±ni sabbapacchim±neva p±puŗanti. Yampi ekac±rikabhatta½ hoti, tampi etesa½ pattadivase l±maka½ v± hoti, ete v± disv±va paŗ²ta½ adatv± l±makameva denti.
AbhisaŖkh±rikanti n±n±sambh±rehi abhisaŖkharitv± kata½ susajjita½, susamp±ditanti attho. Kaŗ±jakanti sakuŗ¹akabhatta½. BilaŖgadutiyanti kańjikadutiya½.
Kaly±ŗabhattikoti kaly±ŗa½ sundara½ ativiya paŗ²ta½ bhattamass±ti kaly±ŗabhattiko, paŗ²tad±yakatt± bhatteneva pańń±to. Catukkabhatta½ det²ti catt±ri bhatt±ni deti, taddhitavoh±rena pana “catukkabhattan”ti vutta½. Upatiµµhitv± parivisat²ti sabbakammante vissajjetv± mahanta½ p³j±sakk±ra½ katv± sam²pe µhatv± parivisati. Odanena pucchant²ti odanahatth± upasaŖkamitv± “ki½ bhante odana½ dem±”ti pucchanti, eva½ karaŗattheyeva karaŗavacana½ hoti. Esa nayo s³p±d²su.
Sv±tan±y±ti sve bhavo bhattaparibhogo sv±tano tassatth±ya, sv±tan±ya sve kattabbassa bhattaparibhogassatth±y±ti vutta½ hoti. Uddiµµha½ hot²ti p±petv± dinna½ hoti. Mettiyabh³majak±na½ kho gahapat²ti ida½ thero asamann±haritv± ±ha. Eva½balavat² hi tesa½ mandapuńńat±, ya½ sativepullappatt±nampi asamann±h±ro hoti. Ye jeti ettha jeti d±si½ ±lapati.
Hiyyo kho ±vuso amh±kanti ratti½ sammantayam±n± at²ta½ divasabh±ga½ sandh±ya “hiyyo”ti vadanti. Na cittar³panti na citt±nur³pa½, yath± pubbe yattaka½ icchanti, tattaka½ supanti, na eva½ supi½su, appakameva supi½s³ti vutta½ hoti.
Bah±r±makoµµhaketi ve¼uvanavih±rassa bahidv±rakoµµhake. Pattakkhandh±ti patitakkhandh± khandhaµµhika½ n±metv± nisinn±. Pajjh±yant±ti padh³p±yant±.
Yato niv±ta½ tato sav±tanti yattha niv±ta½ appakopi v±to natthi, tattha mah±v±to uµµhitoti adhipp±yo. Udaka½ mańńe ±dittanti udaka½ viya ±ditta½.
384. Sarasi tva½ dabba evar³pa½ katt±ti tva½ dabba evar³pa½ katt± sarasi. Atha v± sarasi tva½ dabba evar³pa½ yath±ya½ bhikkhun² ±ha, katt± dh±si evar³pa½, yath±ya½ bhikkhun² ±h±ti eva½ yojetv±pettha attho daµµhabbo. Ye pana “katv±”ti paµhanti tesa½ ujukameva.
Yath± ma½ bhante bhagav± j±n±t²ti thero ki½ dasseti. Bhagav± bhante sabbańń³, ahańca kh²ŗ±savo, natthi mayha½ vatthupaµisevan±, ta½ ma½ bhagav± j±n±ti, tatr±ha½ ki½ vakkh±mi, yath± ma½ bhagav± j±n±ti tathev±ha½ daµµhabboti.
