Vuttañheta½ bhagavat±– “kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu patil²no hoti? Imassa, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno asmim±no pah²no hoti ucchinnam³lo t±l±vatthukato anabh±va½kato ±yati½ anupp±dadhammo. Eva½ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu patil²no hot²”ti– patil²no.

So evam±ha– “ki½ samaºassa mahagghena c²varena! Eta½ s±ruppa½ ya½ samaºo sus±n± v± saªk±rak³µ± v± p±paºik± v± nantak±ni uccinitv± saªgh±µi½ katv± dh±reyya. Ki½ samaºassa mahagghena piº¹ap±tena Eta½ s±ruppa½ ya½ samaºo uñch±cariy±ya piº¹iy±lopena j²vika½ kappeyya. Ki½ samaºassa mahagghena sen±sanena! Eta½ s±ruppa½ ya½ samaºo rukkham³liko v± assa sos±niko v± abbhok±siko v±. Ki½ samaºassa mahagghena gil±napaccayabhesajjaparikkh±rena!
