Ete ca bhed± paññ±dhikasaddh±dhikav²riy±dhik±na½ vasena ñ±tabb±. Paññ±dhik±nañhi saddh± mand± hoti, paññ± tikkh±. Saddh±dhik±na½ paññ± majjhim± hoti, saddh± tikkh±. V²riy±dhik±na½ saddh± paññ± mand± hoti, v²riya½ tikkhanti. Appatv± pana catt±ri asaªkhyeyy±ni kappasatasahassañca divase divase vessantarad±nasadisa½ d±na½ dentopi tadanur³pe s²l±dip±ramidhamme ±cinantopi antar± buddho bhavissat²ti neta½ µh±na½ vijjati. Kasm±? ѱºa½ gabbha½ na gaºh±ti, vepulla½ n±pajjati, parip±ka½ na gacchat²ti. Yath± n±ma tim±sacatum±sapañcam±saccayena nipphajjanaka½ sassa½ ta½ ta½ k±la½ appatv± divase divase satakkhattu½ sahassakkhattu½ ke¼±yantopi udakena siñcantopi antar± pakkhena v± m±sena v± nipph±dessat²ti neta½ µh±na½ vijjati. Kasm±? Sassa½ gabbha½ na gaºh±ti, vepulla½ n±pajjati, parip±ka½ na gacchat²ti. Evameva½ appatv± catt±ri asaªkhyeyy±ni kappasatasahassañca antar± buddho bhavissat²ti neta½ µh±na½ vijjati. “Manussatta½ liªgasampatti, hetu satth±radassana½;
pabbajj± guºasampatti, adhik±ro ca chandat±;

Abhin²h±roti m³lapaºidh±nasseta½ adhivacana½. Tattha manussattanti manussaj±ti. Aññatra hi manussaj±tiy± avasesaj±t²su devaj±tiyampi µhitassa paºidhi na ijjhati, tattha µhitena pana buddhatta½ patthayantena d±n±d²ni puññakamm±ni katv± manussatta½yeva patthetabba½, tattha µhatv± paºidhi k±tabbo. Evañhi samijjhati. Liªgasampatt²ti purisabh±vo. M±tug±manapu½saka-ubhatobyañjanak±nañhi manussaj±tiya½ µhit±nampi paºidhi na ijjhati. Tattha µhitena pana buddhatta½ patthentena d±n±d²ni puññakamm±ni katv± purisabh±voyeva patthetabbo, tattha µhatv± paºidhi k±tabbo. Evañhi samijjhati. Het³ti arahattassa upanissayasampatti. Yo hi tasmi½ attabh±ve v±yamanto arahatta½ p±puºitu½ samattho, tassa paºidhi samijjhati, no itarassa yath± sumedhapaº¹itassa. So hi d²paªkarap±dam³le pabbajitv± tenattabh±vena arahatta½ p±puºitu½ samattho ahosi. Satth±radassananti buddh±na½ sammukh±dassana½. Evañhi ijjhati, no aññath± yath± sumedhapaº¹itassa. So hi d²paªkara½ sammukh± disv± paºidhi½ ak±si. Pabbajj±ti anag±riyabh±vo. So ca kho s±sane v± kammav±dikiriyav±dit±pasaparibb±jakanik±ye v± vaµµati yath± sumedhapaº¹itassa. So hi sumedho n±ma t±paso hutv± paºidhi½ ak±si. Guºasampatt²ti jh±n±diguºapaµil±bho Pabbajitassapi hi guºasampannasseva ijjhati, no itarassa yath± sumedhapaº¹itassa. So hi pañc±bhiñño ca aµµhasam±pattil±bh² ca hutv± paºidhesi. Adhik±roti adhikak±ro, paricc±goti attho. J²vit±diparicc±gañhi katv± paºidahatoyeva ijjhati, no itarassa yath± sumedhapaº¹itassa. So hi–
“Akkamitv±na ma½ buddho, saha sissehi gacchatu;

So hi tato pabhuti na jaccandho hoti na jaccapadhiro, na ummattako, na e¼amugo, na p²µhasappi na milakkhesu uppajjati, na d±siy± kucchimhi nibbattati, na niyatamicch±diµµhiko hoti, n±ssa liªga½ parivattati, na pañc±nantariyakamm±ni karoti, na kuµµh² hoti, na tiracch±nayoniya½ vaµµakato pacchimattabh±vo hatthito adhikattabh±vo hoti, na khuppip±sikanijjh±mataºhikapetesu uppajjati, na k±lakañcik±suresu, na av²ciniraye, na lokantarikesu uppajjati. K±m±vacaresu pana na m±ro hoti, r³p±vacaresu na asaññ²bhave, na suddh±v±sesu uppajjati, na ar³pabhavesu, na añña½ cakkav±¼a½ saªkamati.

Ye ca ime nekkhammajjh±sayo, pavivekajjh±sayo, alobhajjh±sayo, adosajjh±sayo, amohajjh±sayo, nissaraºajjh±sayoti cha ajjh±say± bodhiparip±k±ya sa½vattanti, yehi samann±gatatt± nekkhammajjh±say± ca bodhisatt± k±mesu dosadass±vino, pavivekajjh±say± ca bodhisatt± saªgaºik±ya dosadass±vino, alobhajjh±say± ca bodhisatt± lobhe dosadass±vino, adosajjh±say± ca bodhisatt± dose dosadass±vino, amohajjh±say± ca bodhisatt± mohe dosadass±vino, nissaraºajjh±say± ca bodhisatt± sabbabhavesu dosadass±vinoti vuccanti, tehi ca samann±gato hoti.

Paccekabuddh±na½ pana k²va cira½ patthan± vaµµat²ti? Paccekabuddh±na½ dve asaªkhyeyy±ni kappasatasahassañca, tato ora½ na sakk±, pubbe vuttanayenevettha k±raºa½ veditabba½. Ettaken±pi ca k±lena paccekabuddhatta½ patthayato abhin²h±rakaraºe pañca sampattiyo icchitabb±. Tesañhi–

Tattha vigat±savadassananti buddhapaccekabuddhabuddhas±vak±na½ yassa kassaci dassananti attho. Sesa½ vuttanayameva.
Atha “s±vak±na½ patthan± kittaka½ vaµµat²”ti? Dvinna½ aggas±vak±na½ eka½ asaªkhyeyya½ kappasatasahassañca, as²timah±s±vak±na½ kappasatasahassameva. Tath± buddhassa m±t±pit³na½ upaµµh±kassa puttassa c±ti, tato ora½ na sakk±, tattha k±raºa½ vuttanayameva. Imesa½ pana sabbesampi adhik±ro ca chandat±ti dvaªgasamann±gatoyeva abhin²h±ro hoti.
Eva½ im±ya patthan±ya imin± ca abhin²h±rena yath±vuttappabheda½ k±la½ p±ramiyo p³retv± buddh± loke uppajjant± khattiyakule v± br±hmaºakule v± uppajjanti, paccekabuddh± khattiyabr±hmaºagahapatikul±na½ aññatarasmi½, aggas±vak± pana buddh± viya khattiyabr±hmaºakulesveva. Sabbabuddh± sa½vaµµam±ne kappe na uppajjanti, vivaµµam±ne kappe uppajjanti, tath± paccekabuddh±. Te pana buddh±na½ uppajjanak±le na uppajjanti. Buddh± sayañca bujjhanti, pare ca bodhenti. Paccekabuddh± sayameva bujjhanti, na pare bodhenti. Attharasameva paµivijjhanti, na dhammarasa½. Na hi te lokuttaradhamma½ paññatti½ ±ropetv± desetu½ sakkonti, m³gena diµµhasupino viya vanacarakena nagare s±yitabyañjanaraso viya ca nesa½ dhamm±bhisamayo hoti. Sabba½ iddhisam±pattipaµisambhid±pabheda½ p±puºanti. Guºavisiµµhat±ya buddh±na½ heµµh± s±vak±na½ upari honti, na aññe pabb±jetv± ±bhisam±c±rika½ sikkh±penti, “cittasallekho k±tabbo, vos±na½ n±pajjitabban”ti imin± uddesena uposatha½ karonti, ajja uposathoti vacanamattena v±, uposatha½ karont± ca gandham±dane mañj³sakarukkham³le ratanam±¼e sannipatitv± karont²ti. Eva½ bhagav± ±yasmato ±nandassa paccekabuddh±na½ sabb±k±raparip³ra½ patthanañca abhin²h±rañca kathetv± id±ni im±ya patthan±ya imin± ca abhin²h±rena samud±gate te te paccekabuddhe kathetu½ “sabbesu bh³tesu nidh±ya daº¹an”ti-±din± nayena ima½ khaggavis±ºasutta½ abh±si.
