Ta½ kira khuradh±ra½ cakk±vudha½ ańńad± kuddhena vissaµµha½ ekagghanap±s±ŗatthambhe va½saka¼²re viya chindanta½ gacchati. Id±ni pana tasmi½ m±l±vit±na½ hutv± µhite avases± m±raparis± “id±ni siddhattho pallaŖkato vuµµh±ya pal±yissat²”ti mahantamahant±ni selak³µ±ni vissajjesu½, t±nipi mah±purisassa dasa p±ramiyo ±vajjentassa m±l±gu¼abh±va½ ±pajjitv± bh³miya½ pati½su. Devat± cakkav±¼amukhavaµµiya½ µhit± g²va½ pas±retv± s²sa½ ukkhipitv± “naµµho vata, bho, siddhatthakum±rassa r³paggappatto attabh±vo, ki½ nu kho so karissat²”ti olokenti.
Tato bodhisatto “p³ritap±ram²na½ bodhisatt±na½ sambujjhanadivase pattapallaŖko mayha½ p±puŗ±t²”ti vatv± µhita½ m±ra½ ±ha– “m±ra, tuyha½ d±nassa dinnabh±ve ko sakkh²”ti. M±ro “ime ettak±va jan± sakkhino”ti m±rabal±bhimukha½ hattha½ pas±resi. Tasmi½ khaŗe m±raparis±ya “aha½ sakkhi, aha½ sakkh²”ti pavattasaddo pathavi-undriyanasaddasadiso ahosi. Atha m±ro mah±purisa½ ±ha– “siddhattha, tuyha½ d±nassa dinnabh±ve ko sakkh²”ti. Mah±puriso “tuyha½ t±va d±nassa dinnabh±ve sacetan± sakkhino, mayha½ pana imasmi½ µh±ne sacetano koci sakkhi n±ma natthi, tiµµhatu t±va me avasesa-attabh±vesu dinnad±na½, vessantarattabh±ve pana µhatv± mayha½ sattasatakamah±d±nassa t±va dinnabh±ve acetan±pi aya½ ghanamah±pathav² sakkh²”ti c²varagabbhantarato dakkhiŗahattha½ abhin²haritv± “vessantarattabh±ve µhatv± mayha½ sattasatakamah±d±nassa dinnabh±ve tva½ sakkhi, na sakkh²”ti mah±pathaviy±bhimukha½ hattha½ pas±resi. Mah±pathav² “aha½ te tad± sakkh²”ti viravasatena viravasahassena viravasatasahassena m±rabala½ avattharam±n± viya unnadi.
Tato mah±purise “dinna½ te, siddhattha, mah±d±na½ uttamad±nan”ti vessantarad±na½ sammasante diya¹¹hayojanasatiko girimekhalahatth² jaŗŗukehi pathaviya½ patiµµh±si, m±raparis± dis±vidis± pal±yi½su, dve ekamaggena gat± n±ma natthi, s²s±bharaŗ±ni ceva nivatthavasan±ni ca cha¹¹etv± sammukhasammukhadis±hiyeva pal±yi½su. Tato devasaŖgh± pal±yam±na½ m±rabala½ disv± “m±rassa par±jayo j±to, siddhatthakum±rassa jayo j±to, jayap³ja½ kariss±m±”ti devat± devat±na½, n±g± n±g±na½, supaŗŗ± supaŗŗ±na½, brahm±no brahm±na½ ghosetv± gandham±l±dihatth± mah±purisassa santika½ bodhipallaŖka½ ±gama½su.

Eva½ aparim±ŗena sirivibhavena p³jiyam±no mah±puriso anekappak±resu acchariyadhammesu p±tubh³tesu sabbańńuta½ paµivijjhitv± sabbabuddhehi avijahita½ ud±na½ ud±nesi–
“Anekaj±tisa½s±ra½, sandh±vissa½ anibbisa½;
gahak±ra½ gavesanto, dukkh± j±ti punappuna½.
“Gahak±raka diµµhosi, puna geha½ na k±hasi;
