Aha½ pana “akkodhanohamasm²”ti tussanto sandiµµhikasampar±yikadukkh±bh±vena tuµµho hom²ti d²peti. “Vigatakhilo”ti vadam±no tva½ “duddhakh²rohamasm²”ti tussanto akatakiccova “katakiccohamasm²”ti mantv± tuµµho, aha½ pana “vigatakhilohamasm²”ti tussanto katakiccova tuµµho hom²ti d²peti. “Anut²re mahiyekarattiv±so”ti vadam±no tva½ anut²re mahiy± sam±nav±soti tussanto catum±sanibaddhav±sena tuµµho. Nibaddhav±so ca ±v±sasaŖgena hoti, so ca dukkho, eva½ sante dukkheneva tuµµho hosi. Aha½ pana ekarattiv±soti tussanto anibaddhav±sena tuµµho, anibaddhav±so ca ±v±sasaŖg±bh±vena hoti, ±v±sasaŖg±bh±vo ca sukhoti sukheneva tuµµho hom²ti d²peti.
“Vivaµ± kuµ²”ti vadam±no tva½ chann± kuµ²ti tussanto channagehat±ya tuµµho, gehe ca te channepi attabh±vakuµika½ kilesavassa½ ativassati, yena sańjanitehi cat³hi mahoghehi vuyham±no anayabyasana½ p±puŗeyy±si, eva½ sante atuµµhabbeneva tuµµho hosi. Aha½ pana “vivaµ± kuµ²”ti tussanto attabh±vakuµiy± kilesacchadan±bh±vena tuµµho. Evańca me vivaµ±ya kuµiy± na ta½ kilesavassa½ ativassati, yena sańjanitehi cat³hi mahoghehi vuyham±no anayabyasana½ p±puŗeyya½, eva½ sante tuµµhabbeneva tuµµho hom²ti d²peti. “Nibbuto gin²”ti vadam±no tva½ ±hito gin²ti tussanto akat³paddavaniv±raŗova kat³paddavaniv±raŗosm²ti mantv± tuµµho. Aha½ pana nibbuto gin²ti tussanto ek±dasaggipari¼±h±bh±vato kat³paddavaniv±raŗat±yeva tuµµhoti d²peti. “Atha ce patthayas² pavassa dev±”ti vadam±no eva½ vigatadukkh±na½ anuppattasukh±na½ katasabbakicc±na½ amh±dis±na½ eta½ vacana½ sobhati, atha ce patthayasi, pavassa deva, na no tayi vassante v± avassante v± vu¹¹hi v± h±ni v± atthi, tva½ pana kasm± eva½ vadas²ti d²peti. Tasm± ya½ vutta½ “eva½ vadanto ca dhaniya atuµµhabbeneva tussam±na½ ańń±padeseneva paribh±sati ovadati, anus±sat²”ti, ta½ sammadeva vuttanti.
20. Evamima½ bhagavat± vutta½ g±tha½ sutv±pi dhaniyo gopo “ko aya½ g±tha½ bh±sat²”ti avatv± tena subh±sitena parituµµho punapi tath±r³pa½ sotuk±mo aparampi g±tham±ha “andhakamakas±”ti. Tattha andhak±ti k±¼amakkhik±na½ adhivacana½, piŖgalamakkhik±nantipi eke. Makas±ti makas±yeva. Na vijjareti natthi. Kaccheti dve kacch±– nad²kaccho ca pabbatakaccho ca. Idha nad²kaccho. Ru¼hatiŗeti sańj±tatiŗe. Carant²ti bhattakicca½ karonti. Vuµµhimp²ti v±tavuµµhi-±dik± anek± vuµµhiyo, t± ±¼avakasutte pak±sayiss±ma. Idha pana vassavuµµhi½ sandh±ya vutta½. Saheyyunti khameyyu½. Sesa½ p±kaµameva. Ettha dhaniyo ye andhakamakas± sannipatitv± rudhire pivant± muhutteneva g±vo anayabyasana½ p±penti, tasm± vuµµhitamatteyeva te gop±lak± pa½sun± ca s±kh±hi ca m±renti, tesa½ abh±vena gunna½ khemata½, kacche ru¼hatiŗacaraŗena addh±nagamanaparissam±bh±va½ vatv± khud±kilamath±bh±vańca d²pento “yath± ańńesa½ g±vo andhakamakasasamphassehi dissam±n± addh±nagamanena kilant± khud±ya mil±yam±n± ekavuµµhinip±tampi na saheyyu½, na me tath± g±vo, mayha½ pana g±vo vuttappak±r±bh±v± dvikkhattu½ v± tikkhatu½ v± vuµµhimpi saheyyun”ti d²peti.

Tato bhagav± yasm± dhaniyo antarad²pe vasanto bhaya½ disv±, kulla½ bandhitv±, mah±mahi½ taritv±, ta½ kaccha½ ±gamma “aha½ suµµhu ±gato, nibbhayeva µh±ne µhito”ti mańńam±no evam±ha, sabhaye eva ca so µh±ne µhito, tasm± tassa ±gamanaµµh±n± attano ±gamanaµµh±na½ uttaritarańca paŗ²tatarańca vaŗŗento “baddh±si bhis²”ti ima½ g±thamabh±si, atthasabh±ga½ no byańjanasabh±ga½.
Tattha bhis²ti pattharitv± puthula½ katv± baddhakullo vuccati loke. Ariyassa pana dhammavinaye ariyamaggasseta½ adhivacana½. Ariyamaggo hi–
“Maggo pajjo patho pantho, ańjasa½ vaµum±yana½;
n±v± uttarasetu ca, kullo ca bhisi saŖkamo”. (C³¼ani. p±r±yanatthutig±th±niddesa 101).
“Addh±na½ pabhavo ceva, tattha tattha pak±sito”.
Im±yapi g±th±ya bhagav± purimanayeneva ta½ ovadanto ima½ attha½ ±h±ti veditabbo– dhaniya, tva½ kulla½ bandhitv±, mahi½ taritv±, ima½ µh±nam±gato, punapi ca te kullo bandhitabbo eva bhavissati, nad² ca taritabb±, na ceta½ µh±na½ khema½. May± pana ekacitte maggaŖg±ni samodh±netv± ń±ŗabandhanena baddh± ahosi bhisi. S± ca sattati½sabodhipakkhiyadhammaparipuŗŗat±ya ekarasabh±v³pagatatt± ańńamańńa½ anativattanena puna bandhitabbappayojan±bh±vena devamanussesu kenaci mocetu½ asakkuŗeyyat±ya ca susaŖkhat±. T±ya camhi tiŗŗo, pubbe patthita½ t²rappadesa½ gato. Gacchantopi ca na sot±pann±dayo viya kańcideva padesa½ gato. Atha kho p±ragato sabb±savakkhaya½ sabbadhammap±ra½ parama½ khema½ nibb±na½ gato, tiŗŗoti v± sabbańńuta½ patto, p±ragatoti arahatta½ patto Ki½ vineyya p±ragatoti ce? Vineyya ogha½, k±mogh±dicatubbidha½ ogha½ taritv± atikkamma ta½ p±ra½ gatoti. Id±ni ca pana me puna taritabb±bh±vato attho bhisiy± na vijjati, tasm± mameva yutta½ vattu½ “atha ce patthayas² pavassa dev±”ti.
22. Tampi sutv± dhaniyo purimanayeneva “gop² mama assav±”ti ima½ g±tha½ abh±si. Tattha gop²ti bhariya½ niddisati. Assav±ti vacanakar± ki½k±rapaµis±vin². Alol±ti m±tug±mo hi pańcahi lolat±hi lolo hoti– ±h±ralolat±ya, alaŖk±ralolat±ya, parapurisalolat±ya, dhanalolat±ya, p±dalolat±ya. Tath± hi m±tug±mo bhattap³vasur±dibhede ±h±re lolat±ya antamaso p±riv±sikabhattampi bhuńjati, hatthot±pakampi kh±dati, diguŗa½ dhanamanuppadatv±pi sura½ pivati. AlaŖk±ralolat±ya ańńa½ alaŖk±ra½ alabham±no antamaso udakatelakenapi kese osaŗ¹etv± mukha½ parimajjati. Parapurisalolat±ya antamaso puttenapi t±dise padese pakkosiyam±no paµhama½ asaddhammavasena cinteti. Dhanalolat±ya “ha½sar±ja½ gahetv±na suvaŗŗ± parih±yatha”. P±dalolat±ya ±r±m±digamanas²lo hutv± sabba½ dhana½ vin±seti. Tattha dhaniyo “ek±pi lolat± mayha½ gopiy± natth²”ti dassento alol±ti ±ha.
D²gharatta½ sa½v±siy±ti d²ghak±la½ saddhi½ vasam±n± kom±rabh±vato pabhuti ekato va¹¹hit±. Tena parapurise na j±n±t²ti dasseti. Man±p±ti eva½ parapurise aj±nant² mameva mana½ all²yat²ti dasseti. Tass± na suŗ±mi kińci p±panti “itthann±mena n±ma saddhi½ im±ya hasita½ v± lapita½ v±”ti eva½ tass± na suŗ±mi, kańci atic±radosanti dasseti.
23. Atha bhagav± etehi guŗehi gopiy± tuµµha½ dhaniya½ ovadanto purimanayeneva “citta½ mama assavan”ti ima½ g±thamabh±si, atthasabh±ga½, byańjanasabh±gańca. Tattha utt±natth±neva pad±ni. Aya½ pana adhipp±yo– dhaniya, tva½ “gop² mama assav±”ti tuµµho, s± pana te assav± bhaveyya v± na v±; dujj±na½ paracitta½, visesato m±tug±massa. M±tug±mańhi kucchiy± pariharant±pi rakkhitu½ na sakkonti, eva½ durakkhacittatt± eva na sakk± tumh±disehi itth² alol±ti v± sa½v±siy±ti v± man±p±ti v± nipp±p±ti v± j±nitu½. Mayha½ pana citta½ assava½ ov±dapaµikara½ mama vase vattati, n±ha½ tassa vase vatt±mi. So cassa assavabh±vo yamakap±µih±riye channa½ vaŗŗ±na½ aggidh±r±su ca udakadh±r±su ca pavattam±n±su sabbajanassa p±kaµo ahosi. Agginimm±ne hi tejokasiŗa½ sam±pajjitabba½ udakanimm±ne ±pokasiŗa½, n²l±dinimm±ne n²l±dikasiŗ±ni. Buddh±nampi hi dve citt±ni ekato nappavattanti, ekameva pana assavabh±vena eva½ vasavatti ahosi. Tańca kho pana sabbakilesabandhan±pagam± vimutta½, vimuttatt± tadeva alola½, na tava gop². D²paŖkarabuddhak±lato ca pabhuti d±nas²l±d²hi d²gharatta½ paribh±vitatt± sa½v±siya½, na tava gop². Tadeta½ anuttarena damathena damitatt± sudanta½, sudantatt± attano vasena chadv±ravisevana½ pah±ya mameva adhipp±yamanassa vasen±nuvattanato man±pa½, na tava gop².
P±pa½ pana me na vijjat²ti imin± pana bhagav± tassa attano cittassa p±p±bh±va½ dasseti, dhaniyo viya gopiy±. So cassa p±p±bh±vo na kevala½ samm±sambuddhak±leyeva, ek³nati½sa vass±ni sar±g±dik±le ag±ramajjhe vasantass±pi veditabbo. Tad±pi hissa ag±riyabh±v±nur³pa½ vińńupaµikuµµha½ k±yaduccarita½ v± vac²duccarita½ v± manoduccarita½ v± na uppannapubba½. Tato para½ m±ropi chabbass±ni anabhisambuddha½, eka½ vassa½ abhisambuddhanti satta vass±ni tath±gata½ anubandhi “appeva n±ma v±lagganitudanamattampissa p±pasam±c±ra½ passeyyan”ti. So adisv±va nibbinno ima½ g±tha½ abh±si–
“Satta vass±ni bhagavanta½, anubandhi½ pad±pada½;
ot±ra½ n±dhigacchissa½, sambuddhassa sat²mato”ti. (Su. ni. 448).
Buddhak±lepi na½ uttaram±ŗavo satta m±s±ni anubandhi ±bhisam±c±rika½ daµµhuk±mo. So kińci vajja½ adisv±va parisuddhasam±c±ro bhagav±ti gato. Catt±ri hi tath±gatassa arakkheyy±ni. Yath±ha–
“Catt±rim±ni bhikkhave, tath±gatassa arakkheyy±ni. Katam±ni catt±ri? Parisuddhak±yasam±c±ro, bhikkhave, tath±gato, natthi tath±gatassa k±yaduccarita½, ya½ tath±gato rakkheyya ‘m± me ida½ paro ańń±s²’ti, parisuddhavac²sam±c±ro…pe… parisuddhamanosam±c±ro…pe… parisuddh±j²vo, bhikkhave, tath±gato, natthi tath±gatassa micch±j²vo, ya½ tath±gato rakkheyya ‘m± me ida½ paro ańń±s²”’ti (a. ni. 7.58).
Eva½ yasm± tath±gatassa cittassa na kevala½ samm±sambuddhak±le, pubbepi p±pa½ natthi eva, tasm± ±ha– “p±pa½ pana me na vijjat²”ti. Tass±dhipp±yo– mameva cittassa p±pa½ na sakk± suŗitu½, na tava gopiy±. Tasm± yadi etehi guŗehi tuµµhena “atha ce patthayas² pavassa dev±”ti vattabba½, may±veta½ vattabbanti.
24. Tampi sutv± dhaniyo tatuttaripi subh±sitaras±yana½ pivituk±mo attano bhujissabh±va½ dassento ±ha “attavetanabhatohamasm²”ti. Tattha attavetanabhatoti attaniyeneva gh±sacch±danena bhato, attanoyeva kamma½ katv± j²v±mi, na parassa vetana½ gahetv± parassa kamma½ karom²ti dasseti. Putt±ti dh²taro ca putt± ca, te sabbe putt±tveva ekajjha½ vuccanti. Sam±niy±ti sannihit± avippavuµµh±. Arog±ti nir±b±dh±, sabbeva ³rub±hubal±ti dasseti. Tesa½ na suŗ±mi kińci p±panti tesa½ cor±ti v± parad±rik±ti v± duss²l±ti v± kińci p±pa½ na suŗ±m²ti.
