18. Pakkodanoti dhaniyasutta½. K± uppatti? Bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati. Tena samayena dhaniyo gopo mah²t²re paµivasati. Tass±ya½ pubbayogo– kassapassa bhagavato p±vacane dibbam±ne v²sati vassasahass±ni divase divase saŖghassa v²sati sal±kabhatt±ni ad±si. So tato cuto devesu uppanno. Eva½ devaloke eka½ buddhantara½ khepetv± amh±ka½ bhagavato k±le videharaµµhamajjhe pabbataraµµha½ n±ma atthi tattha dhammakoraŗ¹a½ n±ma nagara½, tasmi½ nagare seµµhiputto hutv± abhinibbatto, goy³tha½ niss±ya j²vati. Tassa hi ti½samatt±ni gosahass±ni honti, sattav²sasahass± g±vo kh²ra½ duyhanti. Gop± n±ma nibaddhav±sino na honti. Vassike catt±rom±se thale vasanti, avasese aµµham±se yattha tiŗodaka½ sukha½ labbhati, tattha vasanti. Tańca nad²t²ra½ v± j±tassarat²ra½ v± hoti. Ath±yampi vassak±le attano vasitag±mato nikkhamitv± gunna½ ph±suvih±ratth±ya ok±sa½ gavesanto mah±mah² bhijjitv± ekato k±lamah² ekato mah±mahicceva saŖkha½ gantv± sandam±n± puna samuddasam²pe sam±gantv± pavatt±. Ya½ ok±sa½ antarad²pa½ ak±si, ta½ pavisitv± vacch±na½ s±la½ attano ca nivesana½ m±petv± v±sa½ kappesi. Tassa satta putt±, satta dh²taro, satta suŗis±, aneke ca kammak±r± honti. Gop± n±ma vassanimitta½ j±nanti. Yad± sakuŗik± kul±vak±ni rukkhagge karonti, kakkaµak± udakasam²pe dv±ra½ pidahitv± thalasam²padv±rena va¼ańjenti, tad± suvuµµhik± bhavissat²ti gaŗhanti. Yad± pana sakuŗik± kul±vak±ni n²caµµh±ne udakapiµµhe karonti, kakkaµak± thalasam²pe dv±ra½ pidahitv± udakasam²padv±rena va¼ańjenti, tad± dubbuµµhik± bhavissat²ti gaŗhanti.
Atha so dhaniyo suvuµµhikanimitt±ni upasallakkhetv± upakaµµhe vassak±le antarad²p± nikkhamitv± mah±mahiy± parat²re sattasatt±hampi deve vassante udakena anajjhottharaŗok±se attano vasanok±sa½ katv± samant± parikkhipitv±, vacchas±l±yo m±petv±, tattha niv±sa½ kappesi. Athassa d±rutiŗ±disaŖgahe kate sabbesu puttad±rakammakaraporisesu sam±niyesu j±tesu n±nappak±re khajjabhojje paµiyatte samant± catuddis± meghamaŗ¹al±ni uµµhahi½su. So dhenuyo duh±petv± vacchas±l±su vacche saŗµh±petv±, gunna½ catuddis± dh³ma½ k±r±petv±, sabbaparijana½ bhoj±petv±, sabbakicc±ni k±r±petv± tattha tattha d²pe ujj±l±petv±, saya½ kh²rena bhatta½ bhuńjitv±, mah±sayane sayanto attano sirisampatti½ disv±, tuµµhacitto hutv±, aparadis±ya meghatthanitasadda½ sutv± nipanno ima½ ud±na½ ud±nesi “pakkodano duddhakh²rohamasm²”ti.
Tatr±ya½ atthavaŗŗan±– pakkodanoti siddhabhatto. Duddhakh²roti g±vo duhitv± gahitakh²ro. Ahanti att±na½ nidasseti asm²ti attano tath±bh±va½. Pakkodano duddhakh²ro ca ahamasmi bhav±m²ti attho. It²ti evam±h±ti attho. Niddese pana “it²ti padasandhi, padasa½saggo, padap±rip³ri, akkharasamav±yo byańjanasiliµµhat± pad±nupubbat±metan”ti (c³¼ani. ajitam±ŗavapucch±niddesa 1) evamassa attho vaŗŗito. Sopi idameva sandh±y±ti veditabbo. Ya½ ya½ hi pada½ pubbapadena vutta½, tassa tassa evam±h±ti etamattha½ pak±sentoyeva itisaddo pacchimena padena metteyyo iti v± bhagav± iti v± evam±din± padasandhi hoti, n±ńńath±.
Dhaniyo gopoti tassa seµµhiputtassa n±masamodh±na½. So hi y±nim±ni th±var±d²ni pańca dhan±ni, tesu µhapetv± d±nas²l±di-anug±mikadhana½, khettavatthu-±r±m±dito th±varadhanatopi, gavass±dito jaŖgamadhanatopi hirańńasuvaŗŗ±dito sa½h±rimadhanatopi, sipp±yatan±dito aŖgasamadhanatopi ya½ ta½ lokassa pańcagoras±nuppad±nena bah³pak±ra½ ta½ sandh±ya “natthi gosamita½ dhanan”ti (sa½. ni. 1.13; netti. 123) eva½ visesita½ godhana½, tena samann±gatatt± dhaniyo, gunna½ p±lanato gopo. Yo hi attano g±vo p±leti, so “gopo”ti vuccati. Yo paresa½ vetanena bhaµo hutv±, so gop±lako. Aya½ pana attanoyeva, tena gopoti vutto.
Anut²reti t²rassa sam²pe. Mahiy±ti mah±mah²n±mik±ya nadiy±. Sam±nena anuk³lavattin± parijanena saddhi½ v±so yassa so sam±nav±so, ayańca tath±vidho. Ten±ha “sam±nav±so”ti. Chann±ti tiŗapaŗŗacchadanehi anovassak± kat±. Kuµ²ti vasanagharasseta½ adhivacana½. ¾hitoti ±bhato, j±lito v±. Gin²ti aggi. Tesu tesu µh±nesu aggi “gin²”ti vohar²yati. Atha ce patthayas²ti id±ni yadi icchas²ti vutta½ hoti. Pavass±ti sińca, pagghara, udaka½ muńc±ti attho. Dev±ti megha½ ±lapati. Aya½ t±vettha padavaŗŗan±.
Aya½ pana atthavaŗŗan±– evamaya½ dhaniyo gopo attano sayanaghare mah±sayane nipanno meghatthanita½ sutv± “pakkodanohamasm²”ti bhaŗanto k±yadukkhav³pasam³p±ya½ k±yasukhahetuńca attano sannihita½ d²peti. “Duddhakh²rohamasm²”ti bhaŗanto cittadukkhav³pasam³p±ya½ cittasukhahetuńca. “Anut²re mahiy±”ti niv±saµµh±nasampatti½, “sam±nav±so”ti t±dise k±le piyavippayogapadaµµh±nassa sokass±bh±va½. “Chann± kuµ²”ti k±yadukkh±pagamapaµigh±ta½. “¾hito gin²”ti yasm± gop±lak± parikkhepadh³mad±ru-aggivasena tayo agg² karonti. Te ca tassa gehe sabbe kat±, tasm± sabbadis±su parikkhepaggi½ sandh±ya “±hito gin²”ti bhaŗanto v±¼amig±gamananiv±raŗa½ d²peti, gunna½ majjhe gomay±d²hi dh³maggi½ sandh±ya ¹a½samakas±d²hi gunna½ an±b±dha½, gop±lak±na½ sayanaµµh±ne d±ru-aggi½ sandh±ya gop±lak±na½ s²t±b±dhapaµigh±ta½. So eva½ d²pento attano v± gunna½ v± parijanassa v± vuµµhipaccayassa kassaci ±b±dhassa abh±vato p²tisomanassaj±to ±ha– “atha ce patthayas² pavassa dev±”ti.
19. Eva½ dhaniyassa ima½ g±tha½ bh±sam±nassa assosi bhagav± dibb±ya sotadh±tuy± visuddh±ya atikkantam±nusik±ya jetavanamah±vih±re gandhakuµiya½ viharanto. Sutv± ca pana buddhacakkhun± loka½ volokento addasa dhaniyańca paj±patińcassa “ime ubhopi hetusampann±. Sace aha½ gantv± dhamma½ desess±mi, ubhopi pabbajitv± arahatta½ p±puŗissanti. No ce gamiss±mi, sve udakoghena vinassissant²”ti ta½ khaŗeyeva s±vatthito satta yojanasat±ni dhaniyassa niv±saµµh±na½ ±k±sena gantv± tassa kuµiy± upari aµµh±si. Dhaniyo ta½ g±tha½ punappuna½ bh±satiyeva na niµµh±peti, bhagavati gatepi bh±sati. Bhagav± ca ta½ sutv± “na ettakena santuµµh± v± vissatth± v± honti, eva½ pana hont²”ti dassetu½–
“Akkodhano vigatakhilohamasmi, anut²re mahiyekarattiv±so;
vivaµ± kuµi nibbuto gini, atha ce patthayas² pavassa dev±”ti.–

Ima½ paµig±tha½ abh±si byańjanasabh±ga½ no atthasabh±ga½. Na hi “pakkodano”ti, “akkodhano”ti ca ±d²ni pad±ni atthato samenti mah±samuddassa orimap±rimat²r±ni viya, byańjana½ panettha kińci kińci samet²ti byańjanasabh±g±ni honti. Tattha purimag±th±ya sadisapad±na½ vuttanayeneva attho veditabbo.

Visesapad±na½ pan±ya½ padato atthato ca vaŗŗan±– akkodhanoti akujjhanasabh±vo. Yo hi so pubbe vuttappak±ra-±gh±tavatthusambhavo kodho ekaccassa suparittopi uppajjam±no hadaya½ sant±petv± v³pasammati, yena ca tato balavataruppannena ekacco mukhavikuŗanamatta½ karoti, tato balavatarena ekacco pharusa½ vattuk±mo hanusańcalanamatta½ karoti, aparo tato balavatarena pharusa½ bhaŗati, aparo tato balavatarena daŗ¹a½ v± sattha½ v± gavesanto dis± viloketi, aparo tato balavatarena daŗ¹a½ v± sattha½ v± ±masati, aparo tato balavatarena daŗ¹±d²ni gahetv± upadh±vati, aparo tato balavatarena eka½ v± dve v± pah±re deti, aparo tato balavatarena api ń±tis±lohita½ j²vit± voropeti, ekacco tato balavatarena pacch± vippaµis±r² att±nampi j²vit± voropeti s²ha¼ad²pe k±lag±mav±s² amacco viya. Ett±vat± ca kodho paramavepullappatto hoti. So bhagavat± bodhimaŗ¹eyeva sabbaso pah²no ucchinnam³lo t±l±vatthukato, tasm± bhagav± “akkodhanohamasm²”ti ±ha.
Vigatakhiloti apagatakhilo. Ye hi te cittabandhabh±vena pańca cetokhil± vutt±, ye hi ca khilabh³te citte seyyath±pi n±ma khile bh³mibh±ge catt±ro m±se vassantepi deve sass±ni na ruhanti, evameva½ saddhammassavan±dikusalahetuvasse vassantepi kusala½ na ruhati te ca bhagavat± bodhimaŗ¹eyeva sabbaso pah²n±, tasm± bhagav± “vigatakhilohamasm²”ti ±ha.
Ekaratti½ v±so ass±ti ekarattiv±so Yath± hi dhaniyo tattha catt±ro vassike m±se nibaddhav±sa½ upagato, na tath± bhagav±. Bhagav± hi ta½yeva ratti½ tassa atthak±mat±ya tattha v±sa½ upagato. Tasm± “ekarattiv±so”ti ±ha. Vivaµ±ti apan²tacchadan±. Kuµ²ti attabh±vo. Attabh±vo hi ta½ ta½ atthavasa½ paµicca k±yotipi guh±tipi dehotipi sandehotipi n±v±tipi rathotipi vaŗotipi dhajotipi vammikotipi kuµ²tipi kuµik±tipi vuccati. Idha pana kaµµh±d²ni paµicca gehan±mik± kuµi viya aµµhi-±d²ni paµicca saŖkhya½ gatatt± “kuµ²”ti vutto. Yath±ha–
“Seyyath±pi, ±vuso, kaµµhańca paµicca, vallińca paµicca, mattikańca paµicca, tiŗańca paµicca, ±k±so pariv±rito ag±ra½tveva saŖkha½ gacchati; evameva kho, ±vuso, aµµhińca paµicca, nh±ruńca paµicca, ma½sańca paµicca, cammańca paµicca, ±k±so pariv±rito r³pantveva saŖkha½ gacchat²”ti (ma. ni. 1.306).
Cittamakkaµassa niv±sato v± kuµi. Yath±ha–
“AµµhikaŖkalakuµi ce s±, makkaµ±vasatho iti;
makkaµo pańcadv±r±ya, kuµik±ya pasakkiya;
dv±rena anupariy±ti, ghaµµayanto punappunan”ti. (Therag±. 125).
S± kuµi yena taŗh±m±nadiµµhichadanena satt±na½ channatt± punappuna½ r±g±dikilesavassa½ ativassati. Yath±ha–
“Channamativassati, vivaµa½ n±tivassati;
tasm± channa½ vivaretha, eva½ ta½ n±tivassat²”ti. (Ud±. 45; therag±. 447; pari. 339).
Aya½ g±th± dv²su µh±nesu vutt± khandhake therag±th±yańca. Khandhake hi “yo ±patti½ paµicch±deti, tassa kiles± ca punappuna½ ±pattiyo ca ativassanti, yo pana na paµicch±deti, tassa n±tivassant²”ti ima½ attha½ paµicca vutt±. Therag±th±ya½ “yassa r±g±dicchadana½ atthi, tassa puna iµµh±rammaŗ±d²su r±g±disambhavato channamativassati Yo v± uppanne kilese adhiv±seti, tasseva adhiv±sitakilesacchadanacchann± attabh±vakuµi punappuna½ kilesavassa½ ativassati. Yassa pana arahattamaggań±ŗav±tena kilesacchadanassa viddha½sitatt± vivaµ±, tassa n±tivassat²”ti. Ayamattho idha adhippeto. Bhagavat± hi yath±vutta½ chadana½ yath±vutteneva nayena viddha½sita½, tasm± “vivaµ± kuµ²”ti ±ha. Nibbutoti upasanto. Gin²ti aggi. Yena hi ek±dasavidhena aggin± sabbamida½ ±ditta½. Yath±ha– “±ditta½ r±gaggin±”ti vitth±ro. So aggi bhagavato bodhim³leyeva ariyamaggasalilasekena nibbuto, tasm± “nibbuto gin²”ti ±ha.
