6. Pañcaggad±yakabr±hmaºavatthu

Sabbasoti ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto pañcaggad±yaka½ n±ma br±hmaºa½ ±rabbha kathesi.
So kira sasse khette µhitak±leyeva khettagga½ n±ma deti, khalak±le khalagga½ n±ma deti, khalabhaº¹ak±le khalabhaº¹agga½ n±ma deti, ukkhalikak±le kumbhagga½ n±ma deti, p±tiya½ va¹¹hitak±le p±tagga½ n±ma det²ti im±ni pañca aggad±n±ni deti, sampattassa adatv± n±ma na bhuñjati. Tenassa pañcaggad±yakotveva n±ma½ ahosi. Satth± tassa ca br±hmaºiy± cassa tiººa½ phal±na½ upanissaya½ disv± br±hmaºassa bhojanavel±ya½ gantv± dv±re aµµh±si. Sopi dv±rapamukhe antogeh±bhimukho nis²ditv± bhuñjati, satth±ra½ dv±re µhita½ na passati. Br±hmaº² pana ta½ parivisam±n± satth±ra½ disv± cintesi– “aya½ br±hmaºo pañcasu µh±nesu agga½ datv± bhuñjati, id±ni ca samaºo gotamo ±gantv± dv±re µhito. Sace br±hmaºo eta½ disv± attano bhatta½ haritv± dassati, punap±ha½ pacitu½ na sakkhiss±m²”ti. S± “eva½ aya½ samaºa½ gotama½ na passissat²”ti satthu piµµhi½ datv± tassa pacchato ta½ paµicch±dent² onamitv± puººacanda½ p±ºin± paµicch±dent² viya aµµh±si. Tath± µhit± eva ca pana “gato nu kho no”ti satth±ra½ a¹¹hakkhikena olokesi. Satth± tattheva aµµh±si. Br±hmaºassa pana savanabhayena “aticchath±”ti na vadeti, osakkitv± pana saºikameva “aticchath±”ti ±ha Satth± “na gamiss±m²”ti s²sa½ c±lesi. Lokagarun± buddhena “na gamiss±m²”ti s²se c±lite s± sandh±retu½ asakkont² mah±hasita½ hasi. Tasmi½ khaºe satth± geh±bhimukha½ obh±sa½ muñci. Br±hmaºopi piµµhi½ datv± nisinnoyeva br±hmaºiy± hasitasadda½ sutv± chabbaºº±nañca rasm²na½ obh±sa½ oloketv± satth±ra½ addasa. Buddh± hi n±ma g±me v± araññe v± hetusampann±na½ att±na½ adassetv± na pakkamanti. Br±hmaºopi satth±ra½ disv±, “bhoti n±sitomhi tay±, r±japutta½ ±gantv± dv±re µhita½ mayha½ an±cikkhantiy± bh±riya½ te kamma½ katan”ti vatv± a¹¹habhutta½ bhojanap±ti½ ±d±ya satthu santika½ gantv±, “bho gotama, aha½ pañcasu µh±nesu agga½ datv±va bhuñj±mi, ito ca me majjhe bhinditv± ekova bhattakoµµh±so bhutto, eko koµµh±so avasiµµho, paµiggaºhissasi me ida½ bhattan”ti. Satth± “na me tava ucchiµµhabhattena attho”ti avatv±, “br±hmaºa, aggampi mayhameva anucchavika½, majjhe bhinditv± a¹¹habhuttabhattampi, carimakabhattapiº¹opi mayhameva anucchaviko. Mayañhi, br±hmaºa, paradatt³paj²vipetasadis±”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
“Yadaggato majjhato sesato v±,
piº¹a½ labhetha paradatt³paj²v²;
n±la½ thutu½ nopi nipaccav±d²,
ta½ v±pi dh²r± muni vedayant²”ti. (Su. ni. 219).
Br±hmaºo ta½ sutv±va pasannacitto hutv± “aho acchariya½, d²pas±miko n±ma r±japutto ‘na me tava ucchiµµhabhattena attho’ti avatv± eva½ vakkhat²”ti dv±re µhitakova satth±ra½ pañha½ pucchi– “bho gotama tumhe attano s±vake bhikkh³ti vadatha, kitt±vat± bhikkhu n±ma hot²”ti. Satth± “katha½r³p± nu kho imassa dhammadesan± sapp±y±”ti upadh±rento “ime dvepi jan± kassapabuddhak±le ‘n±mar³pan’ti vadant±na½ katha½ suºi½su, n±mar³pa½ avissajjitv±va nesa½ dhamma½ desetu½ vaµµat²”ti, “br±hmaºa, n±me ca r³pe ca arajjanto asajjanto asocanto bhikkhu n±ma hot²”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
367. “Sabbaso n±mar³pasmi½, yassa natthi mam±yita½;
asat± ca na socati, sa ve bhikkh³ti vuccat²”ti.
Tattha sabbasoti sabbasmimpi vedan±d²na½ catunna½, r³pakkhandhassa c±ti pañcanna½ khandh±na½ vasena pavatte n±mar³pe. Mam±yitanti yassa ahanti v± mamanti v± g±ho natthi. Asat± ca na socat²ti tasmiñca n±mar³pe khayavaya½ patte “mama r³pa½ kh²ºa½…pe… mama viññ±ºa½ kh²ºan”ti na socati na vihaññati, “khayavayadhamma½ me kh²ºan”ti passati. Sa veti so evar³po vijjam±nepi n±mar³pe mam±yitarahitopi asat±pi tena asocanto bhikkh³ti vuccat²ti attho.
Desan±vas±ne ubhopi jayampatik± an±g±miphale patiµµhahi½su, sampatt±nampi s±tthik± dhammadesan± ahos²ti.
