10. Maºik±rakul³pakatissattheravatthu
Gabbhameketi ima½ dhammadesana½ satth± jetavane viharanto maºik±rakul³paka½ tissatthera½ ±rabbha kathesi. So kira thero ekassa maºik±rassa kule dv±dasa vass±ni bhuñji. Tasmi½ kule jayampatik± m±t±pituµµh±ne µhatv± thera½ paµijaggi½su. Athekadivasa½ so maºik±ro therassa purato ma½sa½ chindanto nisinno hoti. Tasmi½ khaºe r±j± pasenadi kosalo eka½ maºiratana½ “ima½ dhovitv± vijjhitv± pahiºat³”ti pesesi. Maºik±ro salohiteneva hatthena ta½ paµiggahetv± pe¼±ya upari µhapetv± hatthadhovanattha½ anto p±visi. Tasmi½ pana gehe pos±vaniyakoñcasakuºo atthi. So lohitagandhena ma½sasaññ±ya ta½ maºi½ therassa passantasseva gili. Maºik±ro ±gantv± maºi½ apassanto “maºi kena gahito”ti bhariyañca puttake ca paµip±µiy± pucchitv± tehi “na gaºh±m±”ti vutte “therena gahito bhavissat²”ti. Cintetv± bhariy±ya saddhi½ mantesi– “therena maºi gahito bhavissat²”ti. S±, s±mi, m± eva½ avaca, ettaka½ k±la½ may± therassa na kiñci vajja½ diµµhapubba½, na so maºi½ gaºh±t²ti. Maºik±ro thera½ pucchi– “bhante, imasmi½ µh±ne maºiratana½ tumhehi gahitan”ti. Na gaºh±mi, up±sak±ti. Bhante, na idha añño atthi, tumhehiyeva gahito bhavissati, detha me maºiratananti. So tasmi½ asampaµicchante puna bhariya½ ±ha– “thereneva maºi gahito, p²¼etv± na½ pucchiss±m²”ti. S±, s±mi, m± no n±sayi, vara½ amhehi d±sabya½ upagantu½, na ca thera½ evar³pa½ vattunti. So “sabbeva maya½ d±satta½ upagacchant± maºim³la½ na aggh±m±”ti rajju½ gahetv± therassa s²sa½ veµhetv± daº¹ena ghaµµesi. Therassa s²sato ca kaººan±s±hi ca lohita½ pagghari, akkh²ni nikkhaman±k±rappatt±ni ahesu½, so vedan±pamatto bh³miya½ pati. Koñco lohitagandhen± gantv± lohita½ pivi. Atha na½ maºik±ro there uppannakodhavegena “tva½ ki½ karos²”ti p±dena paharitv± khipi. So ekappah±reneva maritv± utt±no ahosi. Thero ta½ disv±, up±saka, s²se veµhana½ t±va me sithila½ katv± ima½ koñca½ olokehi “mato v±, no v±”ti. Atha na½ so ±ha– “eso viya tvampi marissas²”ti. Up±saka, imin± so maºi gilito, sace aya½ na amariss±, na te aha½ marantopi maºi½ ±cikkhissanti. So tassa udara½ ph±letv± maºi½ disv± pavedhento sa½viggam±naso therassa p±dam³le nipajjitv± “khamatha, me, bhante, aj±nantena may± katan”ti ±ha. Up±saka, neva tuyha½ doso atthi, na mayha½, vaµµassevesa doso, kham±mi teti. Bhante, sace me khamatha, pakatiniy±meneva me gehe nis²ditv± bhikkha½ gaºhath±ti. “Up±saka, na d±n±ha½ ito paµµh±ya paresa½ gehassa antochadana½ pavisiss±mi, antogehapavesanasseva hi aya½ doso, ito paµµh±ya p±desu ±vahantesu gehadv±re µhitova bhikkha½ gaºhiss±m²”ti vatv± dhutaªga½ sam±d±ya ima½ g±tham±ha–
“Paccati munino bhatta½, thoka½ thoka½ kule kule;
piº¹ik±ya cariss±mi, atthi jaªghabala½ mam±”ti. (Therag±. 248)–
Idañca pana vatv± thero teneva by±dhin± na cirasseva parinibb±yi. Koñco maºik±rassa bhariy±ya kucchismi½ paµisandhi½ gaºhi. Maºik±ro k±la½ katv± niraye nibbatti. Maºik±rassa bhariy± there muducittat±ya k±la½ katv± devaloke nibbatti. Bhikkh³ satth±ra½ tesa½ abhisampar±ya½ pucchi½su. Satth±, “bhikkhave, idhekacce gabbhe nibbattanti, ekacce p±pak±rino niraye nibbattanti, ekacce katakaly±º± devaloke nibbattanti, an±sav± pana parinibb±yant²”ti vatv± anusandhi½ ghaµetv± dhamma½ desento ima½ g±tham±ha–
126. “Gabbhameke uppajjanti, niraya½ p±pakammino;
sagga½ sugatino yanti, parinibbanti an±sav±”ti.
Tattha gabbhanti idha manussagabbhova adhippeto. Sesamettha utt±natthameva. Desan±vas±ne bah³ sot±pattiphal±d²ni p±puºi½s³ti.
