Satth± tass± vacana½ sutv± “paµ±c±re, m± cintayi, tava t±ŗa½ saraŗa½ avassayo bhavitu½ samatthasseva santika½ ±gat±si. Yath± hi tava id±ni eko puttako senena gahito, eko udakena v³¼ho, panthe pati mato, m±t±pitaro ceva bh±t± ca gehena avatthaµ±; evameva imasmi½ sa½s±re putt±d²na½ matak±le tava rodantiy± paggharita-assu catunna½ mah±samudd±na½ udakato bahutaran”ti vatv± ima½ g±tham±ha–
“Cat³su samuddesu jala½ parittaka½,
tato bahu½ assujala½ anappaka½;
dukkhena phuµµhassa narassa socan±,
ki½ k±raŗ± amma tuva½ pamajjas²”ti.

Satth± ta½ bhikkhun²na½ santika½ pahiŗitv± pabb±jesi. S± laddh³pasampad± paµit±c±ratt± paµ±c±r±tveva pańń±yi. S± ekadivasa½ kuµena udaka½ ±d±ya p±de dhovant² udaka½ ±sińci, ta½ thoka½ gantv± pacchijji. Dutiyav±re ±sitta½ tato d³ratara½ agam±si. Tatiyav±re ±sitta½ tatopi d³rataranti. S± tadeva ±rammaŗa½ gahetv± tayo vaye paricchinditv± “may± paµhama½ ±sitta½ udaka½ viya ime satt± paµhamavayepi maranti, tato d³ratara½ gata½ dutiyav±re ±sitta½ udaka½ viya majjhimavayepi maranti, tatopi d³ratara½ gata½ tatiyav±re ±sitta½ udaka½ viya pacchimavayepi marantiyev±”ti cintesi. Satth± gandhakuµiya½ nisinnova obh±sa½ pharitv± tass± sammukhe µhatv± kathento viya “evameta½ paµ±c±re, pańcannampi khandh±na½ udayabbaya½ apassantassa vassasata½ j²vanato tesa½ udayabbaya½ passantassa ek±hampi ekakkhaŗampi j²vita½ seyyo”ti vatv± anusandhi½ ghaµetv± dhamma½ desento g±tham±ha–

Tattha apassa½ udayabbayanti pańcanna½ khandh±na½ pańcav²satiy± lakkhaŗehi udayańca vayańca apassanto. Passato udayabbayanti tesa½ udayańca vayańca passantassa. Itarassa j²vanato ek±hampi j²vita½ seyyoti.
