512. S±vatthinid±na½. Atha kho uºº±bho br±hmaºo yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavat± saddhi½ sammodi. Sammodan²ya½ katha½ s±raº²ya½ v²tis±retv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho uºº±bho br±hmaºo bhagavanta½ etadavoca–
“Pañcim±ni, bho gotama, indriy±ni n±n±visay±ni n±n±gocar±ni, na aññamaññassa gocaravisaya½ paccanubhonti. Katam±ni pañca? Cakkhundriya½, sotindriya½, gh±nindriya½, jivhindriya½, k±yindriya½ Imesa½ nu kho, bho gotama, pañcanna½ indriy±na½ n±n±visay±na½ n±n±gocar±na½ na aññamaññassa gocaravisaya½ paccanubhont±na½ ki½ paµisaraºa½, ko ca nesa½ gocaravisaya½ paccanubhot²”ti?
“Pañcim±ni, br±hmaºa, indriy±ni n±n±visay±ni n±n±gocar±ni na aññamaññassa gocaravisaya½ paccanubhonti. Katam±ni pañca? Cakkhundriya½, sotindriya½ gh±nindriya½, jivhindriya½, k±yindriya½. Imesa½ kho, br±hmaºa, pañcanna½ indriy±na½ n±n±visay±na½ n±n±gocar±na½ na aññamaññassa gocaravisaya½ paccanubhont±na½ mano paµisaraºa½, manova nesa½ gocaravisaya½ paccanubhot²”ti.
“Manassa pana, bho gotama, ki½ paµisaraºan”ti? “Manassa kho, br±hmaºa, sati paµisaraºan”ti. “Satiy± pana, bho gotama, ki½ paµisaraºan”ti? “Satiy± kho, br±hmaºa, vimutti paµisaraºan”ti. “Vimuttiy± pana, bho gotama, ki½ paµisaraºan”ti? “Vimuttiy± kho, br±hmaºa, nibb±na½ paµisaraºan”ti. “Nibb±nassa pana, bho gotama, ki½ paµisaraºan”ti? “Accay±si [accasar± (s². sy±. ka½.), ajjhapara½ (p². ka.)], br±hmaºa, pañha½, n±sakkhi pañhassa pariyanta½ gahetu½. Nibb±nogadhañhi, br±hmaºa, brahmacariya½ vussati nibb±napar±yaºa½ nibb±napariyos±nan”ti.
Atha kho uºº±bho br±hmaºo bhagavato bh±sita½ abhinanditv± anumoditv± uµµh±y±san± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± padakkhiºa½ katv± pakk±mi.
Atha kho bhagav± acirapakkante uºº±bhe br±hmaºe bhikkh³ ±mantesi– “seyyath±pi, bhikkhave, k³µ±g±re v± k³µ±g±ras±l±ya½ v± [rasmiyo (sy±. ka.)] p±c²nav±tap±n± s³riye uggacchante v±tap±nena rasmi [k³µ±g±ra½ v± k³µ±g±ras±la½ v± uttar±ya (ka. s².)] pavisitv± kv±ssa [k±ya (sy±. ka.)] patiµµhit±”ti? “Pacchim±ya½, bhante, bhittiyan”ti. “Evameva kho, bhikkhave, uºº±bhassa br±hmaºassa tath±gate saddh± niviµµh± m³laj±t± patiµµhit± da¼h± asa½h±riy± samaºena v± br±hmaºena v± devena v± m±rena v± brahmun± v± kenaci v± lokasmi½. Imamhi ce, bhikkhave, samaye uºº±bho br±hmaºo k±laªkareyya, natthi sa½yojana½ yena sa½yojanena sa½yutto uºº±bho br±hmaºo puna ima½ loka½ ±gaccheyy±”ti. Dutiya½.
