365. Eka½ samaya½ bhagav± koliyesu viharati uttara½ n±ma [uttaraka½ n±ma (s².)] koliy±na½ nigamo. Atha kho p±µaliyo g±maºi yena bhagav± tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± bhagavanta½ abhiv±detv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho p±µaliyo g±maºi bhagavanta½ etadavoca– “suta½ meta½, bhante– ‘samaºo gotamo m±ya½ j±n±t²’ti. Ye te, bhante, evam±ha½su– ‘samaºo gotamo m±ya½ j±n±t²’ti, kacci te, bhante, bhagavato vuttav±dino, na ca bhagavanta½ abh³tena abbh±cikkhanti, dhammassa c±nudhamma½ by±karonti, na ca koci sahadhammiko v±d±nuv±do g±rayha½ µh±na½ ±gacchati? Anabbh±cikkhituk±m± hi maya½, bhante, bhagavantan”ti. “Ye te, g±maºi, evam±ha½su– ‘samaºo gotamo m±ya½ j±n±t²’ti, vuttav±dino ceva me, te na ca ma½ abh³tena abbh±cikkhanti, dhammassa c±nudhamma½ by±karonti, na ca koci sahadhammiko v±d±nuv±do g±rayha½ µh±na½ ±gacchat²ti, sacca½yeva kira, bho, maya½ tesa½ samaºabr±hmaº±na½ na saddah±ma– ‘samaºo gotamo m±ya½ j±n±t²ti, samaºo khalu bho gotamo m±y±v²’ti. Yo nu kho, g±maºi, eva½ vadeti– ‘aha½ m±ya½ j±n±m²’ti, so eva½ vadeti– ‘aha½ m±y±v²’ti. Tatheva ta½ bhagav± hoti, tatheva ta½ sugata hot²”ti.
