421. Sabb±k±ren±ti upac±r±k±ro, appan±k±ro, vas²bh±v±k±ro, vitakk±disamatikkam±k±ro, r³p±d²hi virajjan±k±ro, cuddasadh± cittassa paridaman±k±ro, pañcavidha-±nisa½s±dhigam±k±roti evam±din± sabbena bh±van±k±rena.
Tadanantar±ti “citta½ paññan”ti eva½ desan±kkamena, paµipattikkamena ca tassa sam±dhissa anantar±. Paññ± bh±vetabb± sam±dhibh±van±ya samann±gatena bhikkhun±ti sambandho. “Paññañca bh±vayan”ti eva½ atisaªkhepadesitatt±, g±th±vaººan±ya½ v± “sam±dhisil±ya½ sunisita½ vipassan±paññ±satthan”ti eva½ ativiya saªkhepena bh±sitatt± aya½ s± paññ±ti sabh±vato viññ±tumpi t±va na sukar±. Bh±van±vidh±nassa pana adassitatt± pageva bh±vetu½ na sukar±ti sambandho. Pucchanaµµhena pañh±, kamma½ kiriy± karaºa½, pañh±va kamma½ pañh±kamma½, pucchanapayogoti attho.
K± paññ±ti sar³papucch±. Kenaµµhena paññ±ti kena atthena paññ±ti vuccati, “paññ±”ti pada½ ka½ abhidheyyattha½ niss±ya pavattanti attho. S± pan±ya½ paññ± sabh±vato, kiccato, upaµµh±n±k±rato, ±sannak±raºato ca katha½ j±nitabb±ti ±ha “k±nass± lakkhaºarasapaccupaµµh±napadaµµh±n±n²”ti. Katividh±ti pabhedapucch±. Kasm± panettha sa½kilesavod±napucch± na gahit±ti? Vuccate– lokuttar±ya t±va paññ±ya nattheva sa½kileso. Asati ca tasmi½ kuto vod±napucch±ti tadubhaya½ na gahita½. Lokiy±ya pana t±ni bh±van±vidh±ne eva antogadh±n²ti katv± visu½ na gahit±ni magg±maggañ±ºadassanavisuddhi-antogadhatt± sam±dhibh±van±ya½ v± vuttanay±nus±rena veditabb±n²ti na gahit±ni. Paµipatti n±ma diµµh±nisa½se eva hot²ti ±ha “paññ±bh±van±ya ko ±nisa½so”ti.
422. Tatr±ti tasmi½, tassa v± pañh±kammassa. Vissajjananti vivaraºa½. Pucchito hi attho avibh±vitatt± nig³¼ho muµµhiya½ kato viya tiµµhati, tassa vivaraºa½ vissajjana½ vibh³tabh±vakaraºato. K± paññ±ti k±mañc±ya½ sar³papucch±, vibh±gavant±na½ pana sabh±vavibh±vana½ vibh±gadassanamukheneva hot²ti vibh±go t±va anavasesato dassetabbo. Ta½dassanena ca ayam±d²navoti dassetu½ “paññ± bahuvidh±”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha bahuvidh±ti kusal±divasena anekavidh±. N±nappak±r±ti atthaj±pik±dibhedena, sutamayañ±º±dibhedena ca n±n±vidh±. Ta½ sabbanti ta½ anavasesa½ paññ±vibh±ga½. Na s±dheyy±ti vipassan±bh±van±ya saddhi½ maggabh±van± idha adhippetattho. T±ya hi taºh±jaµ±vijaµana½, tañca na s±dheyya. Anavasesato hi paññ±pabhede vissajjiyam±ne “ekavidhena ñ±ºavatth³”ti-±diko (vibha. 751) sabbo ñ±ºavatthu vibhaªge, suttantesu ca tattha tattha ±gato paññ±pabhedo. Sakalopi v± abhidhammanayo ±haritv± vissajjetabbo bhaveyya, tath± ca sati yv±ya½ idha paññ±bh±van±vidhi adhippeto, tassa vissajjan±ya ok±sova na bhaveyya. Kiñca yv±ya½ µh±n±µh±nakammantaravip±kantar±divisaye paññ±ya pavattibhedo, sopi yath±raha½ saddhi½ phal±phalabhedena vibhajitv± vissajjetabbo siy±. So ca pana vissajjiyam±no aññadatthu vikkhep±ya sa½vatteyya, yath± ta½ avisaye. Ten±ha “uttari ca vikkhep±ya sa½vatteyy±”ti. Kusalacittasampayutta½ vipassan±ñ±ºanti ettha kusala-ggahaºena duvidhampi aby±kata½ nivatteti, tath± “atthi sa½kiliµµhapaññ±”ti eva½ pavatta½ micch±v±da½ paµisedheti. Vipassan±ñ±ºa-ggahaºena sesakusalapaññ±.
423. Sañj±nanavij±nan±k±ravisiµµhanti sañj±nan±k±ravij±nan±k±rehi s±tisaya½. Yato n±nappak±rato j±nana½ j±nanabh±vo visayaggahaº±k±ro. So hi nesa½ sam±no, na sañj±nan±di-±k±ro. P²takant²ti ettha iti-saddo ±di-attho, tena “lohitaka½ od±ta½ d²gha½ rassan”ti-±dike saññ±ya gahetabb±k±re saªgaºh±ti. Sañj±nanamattamev±ti ettha sañj±nana½ n±ma “n²la½ p²tan”ti-±dika½ ±rammaºe vijjam±na½ v± avijjam±na½ v± saññ±nimitta½ katv± j±nana½. Tath± hes± puna sañj±nanapaccayanimittakaraºaras±. Matta-saddena visesanivatti-atthena vij±nanapaj±nan±k±re nivatteti, eva-saddena kad±cipi imiss± te vises± natthev±ti avadh±reti. Ten±ha “anicca½ dukkhan”ti-±di Tattha viññ±ºakiccampi k±tu½ asakkont² saññ± kuto paññ±kicca½ kareyy±ti “lakkhaºapaµivedha½ p±petu½ na sakkoti”cceva vutta½, na vutta½ “maggap±tubh±van”ti. ¾rammaºe pavattam±na½ viññ±ºa½ na tattha saññ± viya n²lap²t±dikassa sañj±nanavaseneva pavattati, atha kho tattha aññañca visesa½ j±nantameva pavattat²ti ±ha “viññ±ºan”ti-±di. Katha½ pana viññ±ºa½ lakkhaºapaµivedha½ p±pet²ti? Paññ±ya dassitamaggena. Lakkhaº±rammaºikavipassan±ya hi anekav±ra½ lakkhaº±ni paµivijjhitv± paµivijjhitv± pavattam±n±ya paguºabh±vato paricayavasena ñ±ºavippayuttacittenapi vipassan± sambhavati, yath± ta½ paguºassa ganthassa sajjh±yane ñ±y±gat±pi v±r± na viññ±yanti. Lakkhaºapaµivedhanti ca lakkhaº±na½ ±rammaºakaraºamatta½ sandh±ya vutta½, na paµivijjhana½. Ussakkitv±ti udayabbayañ±ºapaµip±µiy± ±y³hitv±. Maggap±tubh±va½ p±petu½ na sakkoti asambodhasabh±vatt±. Vuttanayavasen±ti viññ±ºe vuttanayavasena ±rammaºañca j±n±ti, lakkhaºapaµivedhañca p±peti. Attano pana anaññas±dh±raºena ±nubh±vena ussakkitv± maggap±tubh±vañca p±peti.
Id±ni yath±vuttamattha½ upam±ya patiµµh±petu½ “yath± h²”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha aj±tabuddh²ti asañj±tabyavah±rabuddhi. Upabhogaparibhoganti upabhogaparibhog±raha½, upabhogaparibhogavatth³na½ paµil±bhayogyanti attho. Chekoti mah±s±ro. K³µoti kah±paºapatir³pako tambaka½s±dimayo. Addhas±roti upa¹¹hagghanako. Iti-saddo ±di-attho, tena p±das±ra samas±raparop±das±r±d²na½ saªgaho. Te pak±reti indaj±l±j±tipupph±dippak±re ceva chek±dippak±re ca.
Saññ± h²ti-±di upam±sa½sandana½. Saññ± vibh±ga½ akatv± piº¹avaseneva ±rammaºassa gahaºato d±rakassa kah±paºadassanasadis² vutt±. Tath± hi s± “yath±-upaµµhitavisayapadaµµh±n±” vuccati. Viññ±ºa½ ±rammaºe ekaccavisesagahaºasamatthat±ya g±mikapurisassa kah±paºadassanasadisa½ vutta½. Paññ± ±rammaºe anavasesavises±vabodhato heraññikassa kah±paºadassanasadis² vutt±ti daµµhabba½. “N±nappak±rato j±nanan”ti imin± ñeyyadhamm± pacceka½ n±nappak±r±ti tesa½ y±th±vato avabodho paññ±ti dasseti. Tath± hi vutta½ “sabbe dhamm± sabb±k±rena buddhassa bhagavato ñ±ºamukhe ±p±tham±gacchant²”ti (mah±ni. 156; c³¼ani. moghar±jam±ºavapucch±niddesa 85).
Yatth±ti yasmi½ cittupp±de. Na tattha eka½sena hot²ti tasmi½ cittupp±de paññ± ekantena na hoti. Na hi duhetuka-ahetukacittupp±desu paññ± uppajjati. Avinibbhutt±ti aviyutt±. Teh²ti saññ±viññ±ºehi. Yath± hi sukha½ p²tiy± na niyamato aviyutta½, eva½ saññ±viññ±º±ni paññ±ya na niyamato aviyutt±ti. Yath± pana p²ti sukhena niyamato aviyutt±, eva½ paññ± saññ±viññ±ºehi niyamato aviyutt±. Tasm± eva½ avinibbhuttesu imesu t²su dhammesu tesa½ vinibbhogo dukkaroti tiººa½ jan±na½ kah±paºadassana½ nidassitanti. Tesa½ duviññeyyan±nattata½yeva vacanantarenapi dassetu½ “ten±h±”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha r³padhammesupi t±va n±n±nad²na½ udakassa, n±n±telassa v± ekasmi½ bh±jane pakkhipitv± mathitassa “ida½ asuk±ya nadiy± udaka½, ida½ asukatelan”ti niddh±retv± sar³pato dassana½ dukkara½, kimaªga½ pana ar³padhammes³ti dassento “ya½ ar³p²na½ cittacetasik±nan”ti-±dim±ha.
424. Dhamm±na½ sako bh±vo, sam±no ca bh±vo dhammasabh±vo. Tattha paµhamena kakkha¼aphusan±disalakkhaºa½ gahita½, dutiyena aniccadukkhat±dis±maññalakkhaºa½. Tadubhayassa ca y±th±vato paµivijjhanalakkhaº± paññ±ti ±ha “dhammasabh±vapaµivedhalakkhaº± paññ±”ti. Ghaµapaµ±dipaµicch±dakassa b±hirandhak±rassa d²p±lok±di viya yath±vuttadhammasabh±vapaµicch±dakassa mohandhak±rassa viddha½sanaras±. Uppajjam±no eva hi paññ±loko hadayandhak±ra½ vidhamento eva½ uppajjati, tato eva dhammasabh±vesu asammuyhan±k±rena paccupatiµµhat²ti asammohapaccupaµµh±n±. K±raºabh³t± v± saya½ phalabh³ta½ asammoha½ paccupaµµh±pet²ti evampi asammohapaccupaµµh±n±. Vipassan±paññ±ya idha adhippetatt± “sam±dhi tass± padaµµh±nan”ti vutta½. Tath± hi “sam±hito yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±t²”ti suttapada½ nibandhanabh±vena ±gata½ (sa½. ni. 3.5, 99; sa½. ni. 5.1071; netti. 40; mi. pa. 2.1.14).
