Tattha yath± saªkh±r± hetunibbatt±, eva½ avijj±pi k±m±sav±din± sahetuk± ev±ti ±ha “ubhopete hetusamuppann±”ti. Paccayapariggaheti n±mar³passa paccay±na½ avijj±d²na½ paricchijja gahaºe, nipph±detabbe bhumma½. Paññ±ti kaªkh±vitaraºavisuddhisaªkh±t± pak±rato j±nan±. Dhammaµµhitiñ±ºanti paµiccasamupp±d±vabodho. Idañca dhammaµµhitiñ±ºa½ yasm± addh±ttaye kaªkh±malavitaraºavasena pavattati, tasm± “at²tampi addh±nan”ti-±di vutta½. Eteneva nayen±ti etena “avijj± het³”ti-±din± avijj±ya½ vuttena nayena. “Saªkh±r± hetu, viññ±ºa½ hetusamuppannan”ti-±din± (paµi. ma. 1.46) sabbapad±ni vitth±retabb±ni.
Sa½khippanti ettha avijj±dayo, viññ±º±dayo c±ti saªkhepo, hetu, vip±ko ca. Hetu vip±koti v± sa½khippat²ti saªkhepo, avijj±dayo viññ±º±dayo ca. Saªkhepabh±vas±maññena pana ekavacana½ katanti daµµhabba½. Te pana saªkhep± at²te hetu, etarahi vip±ko, etarahi hetu, ±yati½ vip±koti eva½ k±lavibh±gena catt±ro j±t±. Ten±ha “purimasaªkhepo cettha at²to addh±”ti-±di. Saªkhepa-saddo v± bh±g±dhivacananti at²to hetubh±go paµhamo saªkhepo. Esa nayo sesesupi. Taºhup±d±nabhav± gahit±va honti kilesakammabh±vas±maññato, tehi vin± avijj±saªkh±r±na½ sakicc±karaºato ca. Kamma½ taºh± ca tassa sahak±r²k±raºa½ hutv± vaµµanatthena kammavaµµa½.
Viññ±ºan±mar³pasa¼±yatanaphassavedan±na½ j±tijar±bhaªg±vatth± “j±tijar±maraºan”ti vutt±ti ±ha “j±tijar±maraº±padesena viññ±º±d²na½ niddiµµhatt±”ti. Imeti viññ±º±dayo. ¾yati½ vip±kavaµµa½ paccuppannahetuto bh±v²na½ an±gat±na½ gahitatt±. Teti avijj±dayo. ¾k±ratoti sar³pato avutt±pi tasmi½ tasmi½ saªgahe ±kir²yanti avijj±saªkh±r±diggahaºehi pak±s²yant²ti ±k±r±, at²tahetu-±d²na½ v± pak±r± ±k±r±, tato ±k±rato. V²satividh± honti at²tehetupañcak±dibhedato.
Saªkh±raviññ±º±na½ antar± eko sandh²ti hetuto phalassa avicchedappavattibh±vato hetuphalasambandhabh³to eko sandhi. Tath± bhavaj±t²namantar±. Vedan±taºh±namantar± pana phalato hetuno avicchedappavattibh±vato phalahetusambandhabh³to eko sandhi. Phalabh³topi hi dhammo aññassa hetusabh±vassa dhammassa paccayo hot²ti.
It²ti vuttappak±rapar±masana½. Ten±ha “catusaªkhepan”ti-±di. Sabb±k±ratoti idha vuttehi, avuttehi ca paµiccasamupp±davibhaªge (vibha. 225 ±dayo), anantanayasamantapaµµh±n±d²su ca ±gatehi sabbehi ±k±rehi. J±n±t²ti avabujjhati. Passat²ti dassanabh³tena ñ±ºacakkhun± paccakkhato passati. Aññ±ti paµivijjhat²ti tesa½yeva vevacana½. Tanti ta½ j±nana½. ѱtaµµhen±ti yath±sabh±vato j±nanaµµhena. Paj±nanaµµhen±ti anicc±d²hi pak±rehi paµivijjhanaµµhena.
Id±ni yadatthamida½ bhavacakka½ idh±n²ta½, ta½ dassetu½ “imin±”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha te dhammeti te avijj±dike dhamme. Yath±bh³ta½ ñatv±ti mah±vajirañ±ºena y±th±vato j±nitv±. Nibbindanto balavavipassan±ya virajjanto vimuccanto ariyamaggehi are han²ti yojan±. Tattha yad± bhagav± virajjati vimuccati, tad± are hanati n±ma. Tato para½ pana abhisambuddhakkhaºa½ gahetv± vutta½ “hani vihani viddha½ses²”ti.
129. Cakkavattino acetane cakkaratane uppanne tattheva loko p³ja½ karoti, aññattha p³j±vises± pacchijjanti, kimaªga½ pana samm±sambuddhe uppanneti dassento “uppanne tath±gate”ti-±dim±ha. Ko pana v±do aññesa½ p³j±vises±nanti yath±vuttato aññesa½ amahesakkhehi devamanussehi kariyam±n±na½ n±ti-u¼±r±na½ p³j±vises±na½ arahabh±ve k± n±ma kath±. Atth±nur³panti arahattatthassa anur³pa½ anvattha½.
130. Asilokabhayen±ti akittibhayena. Raho p±pa½ karonti “m± na½ koci jaññ±”ti esa bhagav± na kad±ci karoti p±pahet³na½ bodhimaº¹e eva suppah²natt±. Aparo nayo– ±rak±ti araha½, suvid³rabh±vato-icceva attho. Kuto pana suvid³rabh±vatoti? Ye abh±vitak±y± abh±vitas²l± abh±vitacitt± abh±vitapaññ±, tato eva appah²nar±gadosamoh± ariyadhammassa akovid± ariyadhamme avin²t± ariyadhammassa adass±vino appaµipann± micch±paµipann± ca, tato suvid³rabh±vato. Vuttañheta½ bhagavat±–
“Saªgh±µikaººecepi me, bhikkhave, bhikkhu gahetv± piµµhito piµµhito anubandho assa p±de p±da½ nikkhipanto, so ca hoti abhijjh±lu k±mesu tibbas±r±go by±pannacitto paduµµhamanasaªkappo muµµhassati asampaj±no asam±hito vibbhantacitto p±katindriyo. Atha kho so ±rak±va mayha½, ahañca tassa. Ta½ kissa hetu? Dhamma½ hi so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu na passati, dhamma½ apassanto ma½ na passat²”ti (itivu. 92).
Yath±vuttapuggal± hi sacepi s±ya½ p±ta½ satthu santik±vacar±va siyu½, na te t±vat± “satthu santik±”ti vattabb±, tath± satth±pi nesa½. Iti asappuris±na½ ±rak± d³reti araha½.
“Samm± na paµipajjanti, ye nih²n±say± nar±;
±rak± tehi bhagav±, d³re ten±raha½ mato”ti.
Tath± ±rak±ti araha½, ±sannabh±vatoti attho. Kuto pana ±sannabh±vatoti? Ye bh±vitak±y± bh±vitas²l± bh±vitacitt± bh±vitapaññ±, tato eva pah²nar±gadosamoh± ariyadhammassa kovid± ariyadhamme suvin²t± ariyadhammassa dass±vino samm±paµipann±, tato ±sannabh±vato. Vuttampi ceta½ bhagavat±–
“Yojanasate cepi me, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vihareyya, so ca hoti anabhijjh±lu k±mesu na tibbas±r±go aby±pannacitto appaduµµhamanasaªkappo upaµµhitassati sampaj±no sam±hito ekaggacitto sa½vutindriyo. Atha kho so santikeva mayha½, ahañca tassa. Ta½ kissa hetu? Dhamma½ hi so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu passati, dhamma½ passanto ma½ passat²”ti (itivu. 92).
Tath±r³p± hi puggal± satthu yojanasahassantarik±pi honti, na t±vat± te “satthu d³rac±rino”ti vattabb±, tath± satth±pi nesa½. Iti sappuris±na½ ±rak± ±sanneti araha½.
Ye samm± paµipajjanti, suppaº²t±dhimuttik±;
±rak± tehi ±sanne, ten±pi araha½ jino.
Ye ime r±g±dayo p±padhamm± yasmi½ sant±ne uppajjanti, tassa diµµhadhammikampi sampar±yikampi anattha½ ±vahanti. Nibb±nag±miniy± paµipad±ya eka½seneva ujuvipaccan²kabh³t± ca, te attahita½, parahitañca parip³retu½ samm± paµipajjantehi s±dh³hi d³rato rahitabb± pariccajitabb± pah±tabb±ti rah± n±ma, te ca yasm± bhagavato bodhim³leyeva ariyamaggena sabbaso pah²n± samucchinn±. Yath±ha–
“Tath±gatassa kho, br±hmaºa, r±go pah²no doso moho, sabbepi p±pak± akusal± dhamm± pah²n± ucchinnam³l± t±l±vatthukat± anabh±va½kat± ±yati½ anupp±dadhamm±”ti (p±r±. 9-10 atthato sam±na½).
Tasm± sabbaso na santi etassa rah±ti arahoti vattabbe ok±rassa s±nus±ra½ a-k±r±desa½ katv± “arahan”ti vutta½.

Ye te sabbaso pariññ±takkhandh± pah²nakiles± bh±vitamagg± sacchikatanirodh± arahanto kh²º±sav±, ye ca sekkh± appattam±nas± anuttara½ yogakkhema½ patthayam±n± viharanti, ye ca parisuddhapayog± kaly±ºajjh±say± saddh±s²lasut±diguºasampann± puggal±, tehi na rahitabbo na pariccajitabbo, te ca bhagavat±ti araha½. Tath± hi ariyapuggal± satth±r± diµµhadhammassa paccakkhakaraºato satthu dhammasar²rena avirahit± eva honti. Yath±ha ±yasm± piªgiyo
“Pass±mi na½ manas± cakkhun±va,
rattindiva½ br±hmaºa appamatto;
namassam±no vivasemi ratti½,
teneva maññ±mi avippav±sa½.
“Saddh± ca p²ti ca mano sati ca,
n±pentime gotamas±sanamh±;
ya½ ya½ disa½ vajati bh³ripañño,
sa tena teneva natohamasm²”ti. (Su. ni. 1148-1149).
Teneva ca te añña½ satth±ra½ na uddisanti. Yath±ha–
“Aµµh±nameta½, bhikkhave, anavak±so, ya½ diµµhisampanno puggalo añña½ satth±ra½ uddiseyy±ti neta½ µh±na½ vijjat²”ti (ma. ni. 3.128; a. ni. 1.276).
Kaly±ºaputhujjan±pi yebhuyyena satthari niccalasaddh± eva honti. Iti suppaµipannehi purisavisesehi avirahitabbato, tesañca avirahanato na santi etassa rah± pariccajanak±, natthi v± etassa raho s±dh³hi pariccajitabbat±ti araha½.
“Ye sacchikatasaddhamm±, ariy± suddhagocar±;
na tehi rahito hoti, n±tho ten±raha½ mato”ti.
Rahoti ca gamana½ vuccati, bhagavato ca n±n±gat²su paribbhamanasaªkh±ta½ sa½s±re gamana½ natthi kammakkhayakarena ariyamaggena bodhim³leyeva sabbaso sasambh±rassa kammavaµµassa viddha½sitatt±. Yath±ha–
“Yena dev³papatyassa, gandhabbo v± vihaªgamo;
yakkhatta½ yena gaccheyya½, manussattañca abbaje;
te mayha½ ±sav± kh²º±, viddhast± vina¼²kat±”ti. (A. ni. 4.36).

Eva½ natthi etassa rahogamana½ gat²su pacc±j±t²tipi araha½.

Raho v± gamana½ yassa, sa½s±re natthi sabbaso;

P±sa½satt± v± bhagav± araha½. Akkharacintak± hi pasa½s±ya½ araha-sadda½ vaººenti. P±sa½sabh±vo ca bhagavato anaññas±dh±raºo yath±bhuccaguº±dhigato sadevake loke suppatiµµhito. Tath± hesa anuttarena s²lena anuttarena sam±dhin± anuttar±ya paññ±ya anuttar±ya vimuttiy± asamo asamasamo appaµimo appaµibh±go appaµipuggaloti eva½ tasmi½ tasmi½ guºe vibhajitv± vuccam±ne paº¹itapurisehi devehi brahmehi bhagavat± v± pana pariyos±petu½ asakkuºeyyar³po. Iti p±sa½satt±pi bhagav± araha½.
Guºehi sadiso natthi, yasm± loke sadevake;
tasm± p±sa½siyatt±pi, araha½ dvipaduttamo.

“¾rak± mandabuddh²na½, ±rak± ca vij±nata½;
rah±na½ suppah²natt±, vid³namaraheyyato;
bhavesu ca rah±bh±v±, p±sa½s± araha½ jino”ti.
131. Samm±ti avipar²ta½. S±manti sayameva. Sambuddhoti hi ettha sa½-saddo “sayan”ti etassa atthassa bodhako daµµhabbo. Sabbadhamm±nanti anavases±na½ ñeyyadhamm±na½. Katha½ panettha sabbadhamm±vabodho labbhat²ti? Ekadesassa aggahaºato. Padesaggahaºe hi asati gahetabbassa nippadesat±va viññ±yati yath± “dikkhito na dad±t²”ti. Evañca katv± atthavises±napekkh± kattari eva buddhasaddasiddhi veditabb± kammavacanicch±ya abh±vato. “Samm± s±ma½ buddhatt± samm±sambuddho”ti ettakameva hi idha saddato labbhati, “sabbadhamm±nan”ti pana atthato labbham±na½ gahetv± vutta½.
