Tattha eva½ punappuna½ karonten±ti yath± “im±ya paµipad±ya jar±maraŗato mucciss±m²”ti sańj±t±darena satisampajańńańca suµµhu upaµµhapetv± uddhum±taka-asubha½ paµhama½ ±vajjita½, eva½ punappuna½ tattha ±vajjana½ karontena. S±dhuka½ upadh±retabbańceva vavatthapetabbańc±ti sakkacca½ satiy± sallakkhetabbańceva pańń±ya nicchetabbańca. Sati hi “dh±raŗ±”ti niddiµµh±, dh±raŗańcettha sallakkhaŗa½. Pańń± “pavicayo”ti (dha. sa. 16) niddiµµh±, pavicayo cettha nicchayoti. Atha v± upadh±retabbanti satipubbaŖgam±ya pańń±ya upalakkhetabba½ Na hi kad±ci satirahit± pańń± atthi. Vavatthapetabbanti pańń±pubbaŖgam±ya satiy± nicchinitabba½. Pańń±sahit± eva hi sati idh±dhippet±, na tabbirahit±. Addhakkhi-apaŖg±divasen±pi olokana½ atth²ti “umm²letv± oloketv±”ti vutta½. Ummattako viy±ti yakkhummattako viya ekacco hoti. Jh±navibbhantakoti jh±nato viccutako s²lavibbhantakamantavibbhantak± viya. Santhambhetv±ti uppannaparitt±sav³pasamanena vigatakampat±ya niccalo hutv±. Sati½ s³paµµhitanti-±di santhambhanassa up±yadassana½. Nimittagg±hanti nimittassa uggaŗhana½, uggahanimitta½. Samp±dentoti s±dhento nipph±dento. Kammaµµh±na½ upanibandhat²ti bh±vana½ yath±vutte nimitte upanento nibandhati. Yogakamma½ hi yogino sukhavises±na½ k±raŗabh±vato “kammaµµh±nan”ti adhippeta½, yogakammassa v± pavattiµµh±nat±ya yath±-upaµµhitanimitta½ kammaµµh±na½, ta½ bh±van±citte upanibandhati. Ta½ panassa upanibandhana½ sandh±ya citta½ sańcar±petabba½. Eva½ “visesamadhigacchat²”ti vuttanti dassento “tassa h²”ti-±dim±ha. Tattha tass±ti yogino, tassa v± uddhum±tak±subhassa. M±nasa½ c±rentass±ti bh±van±citta½ apar±para½ pavattentassa, uggahanimitta½ punappuna½ manasi karontass±ti attho.
115. “V²thisampaµip±danatth±”ti padassa “kammaµµh±nav²thiy± sampaµip±danatth±”ti attha½ vatv± ta½ pana kammaµµh±nav²thi½, tass± ca sampaµip±danavidhi½ vitth±rato dassetu½ “sace h²”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha katim²ti pakkhassa katam², ki½ dutiy±, tatiy±d²su v± ańńatar±ti attho. Tuŗh²bh³tena gantu½ na vaµµati pucchant±na½ cittassa ańńathattapariharaŗattha½. Appasann±nańhi pas±d±ya, pasann±nańca bhiyyobh±v±ya s±sanasampaµipatti. Nassat²ti na dissati na upaµµh±t²ti attho. “¾gantukapaµisanth±ro k±tabbo”ti imin± ±gantukavatta½ ekadesena dassitanti “avases±nip²”ti vatv± ±gantukavatta½ paripuŗŗa½ gahetu½ puna ±gantukaggahaŗa½ kata½. Nimitta½ v± antaradh±yat²ti sus±ne µhita½ asubhanimitta½ uddhum±takabh±v±pagamena antaradh±yati. Ten±ha “uddhum±takan”ti-±di. Tasm±ti tena k±raŗena, imassa kammaµµh±nassa dullabhatt±ti attho. Nis²ditv± paccavekkhitabboti sambandho.
Nimitta½ gahetu½ gamane viya nimitta½ gahetv± nivattanepi yath±sallakkhitadis±dipaccavekkhaŗa½ y±va nimittavin±s± pavattitakiriy±ya avicchedena upadh±raŗattha½. Sati hi tassa nirantar³padh±raŗe vih±ra½ pavisitv± nisinnak±le kammaµµh±nassa upaµµhit±k±ro samathanimittassa gahaŗe cittassa sam±hit±k±ro viya p±kaµo hutv± upatiµµheyy±ti. Ten±ha “tasseva½…pe… v²thi½ paµipajjat²”ti. Purim±k±rena nimittassa p±kaµabh±vena upaµµhitatt± purim±k±reneva kammaµµh±namanasik±ro bh±van±v²thi½ paµipajjati.

Uddhum±taka½ n±ma ativiya asuciduggandhajegucchapaµikk³la½ b²bhaccha½ bhay±nakańca, evar³pe ±rammaŗe bh±vanamanuyuńjantassa eva½ ±baddhaparikammassa thir²bh³tasseva yogino adhipp±yo samijjhat²ti dassetu½ “±nisa½sadass±v²”ti-±di vutta½. Evanti evameva vuttappak±reneva ±nisa½sadass±vin±. Ta½ rakkheyy±ti “addh± imin± sukha½ j²viss±m²”ti attano j²vita½ viya ta½ maŗiratana½ rakkheyya. Catudh±tukammaµµh±nikoti-±di nesa½ kammaµµh±n±na½ sulabhat±dassana½. Tattha catudh±tukammaµµh±nikoti catudh±tukammaµµh±na½ v± tattha v± niyutto, catudh±tukammaµµh±na½ v± pariharanto. Itar±n²ti vutt±vasiµµh±ni anussatibrahmavih±r±d²ni. Ta½ nimittanti ta½ yath±laddha½ uggahanimitta½. “Rakkhitabban”ti vatv± rakkhaŗavidhi½ puna dassetu½ “rattiµµh±ne”ti-±di vutta½.
117. N±n± kar²yati eten±ti n±n±karaŗa½, bhedo. B²bhaccha½ bheravadassana½ hutv± upaµµh±ti manasik±rassa anu¼±rat±ya, anupasantat±ya ca ±rammaŗassa. Tabbipariy±yato “paµibh±ganimitta½ th³laŖgapaccaŖgapuriso viya upaµµh±t²”ti ±netv± sambandhitabba½. Bahiddh±ti gocarajjhattato bahiddh±. K±m±na½ amanasik±r±ti asubhabh±van±nubh±vena k±masańń±ya d³rasamuss±ritatt± k±maguŗe ±rabbha manasik±rasseva abh±v±. Amanasik±r±ti v± manasik±rapaµipakkhahetu. Y±ya hi k±masańń±ya vasena satt± k±me manasi karonti, tass± paµipakkhabh³t± asubhasańń± k±m±na½ amanasik±ro, tannimittanti attho. Ten±ha “vikkhambhanavasena k±macchando pah²yat²”ti. Paµibh±ganimitt±rammaŗ±ya hi asubhasańń±ya saddhi½ balappatto sam±dhi uppajjam±nova k±macchanda½ vikkhambheti, anurodham³lako ±gh±to m³lak±raŗe vikkhambhite vikkhambhitoyeva hot²ti ±ha “anunaya…pe… pah²yat²”ti. Na hi kad±ci pah²n±nunayassa by±p±do sambhavati. Yath±vutta-asubhasańń±sahagat± hi p²ti s±tisay± pavattam±n±va by±p±da½ vikkhambhent² pavattati. Tath± ±raddhav²riyat±y±ti yath± upac±rajjh±na½ uppajjati, tath± kammaµµh±namanasik±ravasena paggahitav²riyat±ya. V²riyańhi paggaŗhantassa samm±saŖkappo micch±saŖkappa½ viya savipph±rat±ya thinamiddha½ vikkhambhentameva uppajjati.
Vippaµis±ro pacch±nut±po, tappaµipakkhato avippaµis±ro darathapari¼±h±bh±vena cittassa nibbutat±. Tassa avippaµis±rassa paccayabh³ta½ s²la½, ta½sahagat± tadupanissay± ca p²tipassaddhisukh±dayo sabh±vato, hetuto ca santasabh±v±, tesa½ anuyuńjanena av³pasantasabh±va½ uddhaccakukkucca½ pah²yat²ti ±ha “avippaµis±rakarasantadhamm±nuyogavasena uddhaccakukkucca½ pah²yat²”ti. Bh±van±ya hi pubben±para½ visesa½ ±vahantiy± ya½ s±tisaya½ sukha½ labbhati, ta½ anupasantasabh±va½ uddhaccakukkucca½ vikkhambhentameva uppajjati. Adhigatavisesass±ti yath±dhigatassa bh±van±visesassa. Paccakkhat±y±ti paµipajjantassa yogino paccakkhabh±vato “samm±sambuddho vata so bhagav±, yo evar³pi½ samm±paµipatti½ deset²”ti paµipattidesake satthari. Paµipattiyanti paµipajjam±najjh±napaµipattiya½. Paµipattiphaleti t±ya s±dhetabbe lokiyalokuttaraphale. Vicikicch± pah²yati dhammanvayavic±r±hitabalena vic±rabalena. Iti pańca n²varaŗ±ni pah²yant²ti eva½ paµibh±ganimittapaµil±bhasamak±lameva heµµh± pavattabh±van±nubh±vanipphannehi sam±dhi-±d²hi k±macchand±d²ni pańca n²varaŗ±ni vikkhambhanavasena pah²yanti. Na hi paµipakkhena vin± pah±tabbassa pah±na½ sambhavati, paµipakkh± ca sam±dhi-±dayo k±macchand±d²na½. Yath±ha peµake “sam±dhi k±macchandassa paµipakkho”ti-±di.
Teneva ca “imehi tesa½ n²varaŗ±na½ pah±nan”ti pah±naparid²panamukhena jh±naŖg±ni sar³pato dassetu½ “tasmińńeva c±”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha tasmińńeva c±ti ya½ ta½ yath±-upaµµhita½ uggahanimitta½ bhinditv± viya upaµµhita½, tassa paµicchannabh³ta½ paµibh±ganimitta½, tasmińńeva nimitte. Cetasoti attan± sampayuttacittassa. Abhiniropanalakkhaŗoti ±ropanalakkhaŗo, appan±sabh±voti attho. Nimitt±numajjana½ paµibh±ganimitte anuvicaraŗa½. ¾rammaŗe hi bhamarassa padumass³pari anuparibbhamana½ viya vic±rassa anuvic±raŗ±k±rena pavatti anumajjanakicca½. Viseso eva adhigantabbato vises±dhigamo, paµiladdho ca so vises±dhigamo c±ti paµi…pe… gamo, tappaccay± ta½hetuk± paµiladdhavises±dhigamapaccay± p²ti. P²timanassa p²tisahitacittassa. Passaddhisambhavatoti k±yacittapassaddh²na½ sa½sijjhanato. “P²timanassa k±yo passambhat²”ti hi vutta½. Passaddhinimitta½ passaddhihetuka½ sukha½ “passaddhak±yo sukha½ vediyat²”ti vacanato.
