Etth±ha– nanu c±ya½ pageva k±m±d²nava½ paccavekkhitv± samathapaµipada½ paµipanno upac±rakkhaºeyeva jh±nena n²varaº±ni vikkhambhit±ni, atha kasm± puna k±m±d²navapaccavekkhaº±di gahitanti? Saccameta½. Ta½ pana pah±namattanti jh±nassa ciraµµhitiy± atisayapah±nattha½ puna gahita½.
Uddhacca middhanti kukkucca½, thinañca tadekaµµhat±ya gahitamev±ti katv± vutta½. Suddhantagatoti suparisuddhapariyanta½ sabbaso visodhitakoºapariyanta½ uyy±na½ gato. Tahi½ rameti tasmi½ jh±ne rameyya divasabh±gampi jh±nasamaªg² eva bhaveyya.
Cittabh±van±vepullatthanti sam±dhibh±van±ya vipulabh±v±ya. Yath± hi bh±van±vasena nimittassa uppatti, evamassa bh±van±vaseneva va¹¹hanampi. Tasm± ekaªgul±divasena nimitta½ va¹¹hentassa punappuna½ bahul²k±rena jh±na½ bh±van±pi vuddhi½ viru¼hi½ vepulla½ ±pajjati.
