Yath±ha “k±ma½ k±mayam±nassa, tassa ceta½ samijjhat²”ti (su. ni. 772). Tath± “nekkhamma½ ijjhat²ti iddhi, paµiharat²ti p±µih±riya½. Yassa meghassa viya gajjato saddo ahosi. Tad± thero tassa paharaºasamaye sam±patti½ appesi. Athassa tena pah±rena na koci ±b±dho ahosi Aya½ tass±yasmato sam±dhivipph±r± iddhi. Sañj²vatthera½ pana nirodhasam±panna½ k±lakatoti sallakkhetv± gop±lak±dayo tiºakaµµhagomay±ni saªka¹¹hetv± aggi½ ada½su. Therassa c²vare a½sumattampi najjh±yittha. Ayamassa anupubbasam±pattivasena pavattasamath±nubh±vanibbattatt± sam±dhivipph±r± iddhi. Vatthu pana sutte (ma. ni. 1.507) ±gatameva.

S±m±vat² n±ma udenassa rañño aggamahes². M±gaº¹iyabr±hmaºo attano dh²t±ya aggamahesiµµh±na½ patthayam±no tass± v²º±ya ±s²visa½ pakkhip±petv± r±j±na½ ±ha “mah±r±ja, s±m±vat² ta½ m±retuk±m± v²º±ya ±s²visa½ gahetv± pariharat²”ti. R±j± ta½ disv± kupito s±m±vati½ vadhiss±m²ti dhanu½ ±ropetv± visap²ta½ khurappa½ sannayhi. S±m±vat² sapariv±r± r±j±na½ mett±ya phari. R±j± neva sara½ khipitu½ na oropetu½ sakkonto vedham±no aµµh±si. Iti rañño sara½ muñcitu½ avisahanabh±vo s±m±vatiy± up±sik±ya sam±dhivipph±r± iddh²ti.
375. Paµikk³l±d²su appaµikk³lasaññivih±r±dik± pana ariy± iddhi n±ma. Yath±ha– “katam± ariy± iddhi? Idha– bhikkhu sace ±kaªkhati ‘paµikk³le appaµikk³lasaññ² vihareyyan’ti, appaµikk³lasaññ² tattha viharati…pe… upekkhako tattha viharati sato sampaj±no”ti (paµi. ma. 3.17). Ayañhi cetovasippatt±na½ ariy±na½yeva sambhavato ariy± iddh²ti vuccati.
Et±ya hi samann±gato kh²º±savo bhikkhu paµikk³le aniµµhe vatthusmi½ mett±pharaºa½ v± dh±tumanasik±ra½ v± karonto appaµikk³lasaññ² viharati. Appaµikk³le iµµhe vatthusmi½ asubhapharaºa½ v± aniccanti manasik±ra½ v± karonto paµikk³lasaññ² viharati. Tath± paµikk³l±paµikk³lesu tadeva mett±pharaºa½ v± dh±tumanasik±ra½ v± karonto appaµikk³lasaññ² viharati. Appaµikk³lapaµikk³lesu ca tadeva asubhapharaºa½ v± aniccanti manasik±ra½ v± karonto paµikk³lasaññ² viharati. Cakkhun± r³pa½ disv± neva sumano hot²ti-±din± nayena vutta½ pana cha¼aªgupekkha½ pavattayam±no paµikk³le ca appaµikk³le ca tadubhaya½ abhinivajjitv± upekkhako viharati sato sampaj±no. Paµisambhid±yañhi “katha½ paµikk³le appaµikk³lasaññ² viharati? Aniµµhasmi½ vatthusmi½ mett±ya v± pharati dh±tuso v± upasa½harat²”ti-±din± (paµi. ma. 3.17) nayena ayameva attho vibhatto. 376. Pakkh²-±d²na½ pana veh±sagaman±dik± kammavip±kaj± iddhi n±ma. Yath±ha– “katam± kammavip±kaj± iddhi? Sabbesa½ pakkh²na½ sabbesa½ dev±na½ ekacc±na½ manuss±na½ ekacc±nañca vinip±tik±na½ aya½ kammavip±kaj± iddh²”ti (paµi. ma. 3.18). Ettha hi sabbesa½ pakkh²na½ jh±na½ v± vipassana½ v± vin±yeva ±k±sena gamana½. Tath± sabbesa½ dev±na½ paµhamakappik±nañca ekacc±na½ manuss±na½. 377. Cakkavatti-±d²na½ veh±sagaman±dik± pana puññavato iddhi n±ma. Yath±ha “katam± puññavato iddhi? R±j± cakkavatt² veh±sa½ gacchati saddhi½ caturaªginiy± sen±ya antamaso assabandhagobandhapurise up±d±ya. Jotikassa gahapatissa puññavato iddhi. Jaµilakassa gahapatissa puññavato iddhi. Ghositassa gahapatissa puññavato iddhi. Meº¹akassa gahapatissa puññavato iddhi. Pañcanna½ mah±puññ±na½ puññavato iddh²”ti. Saªkhepato pana parip±ka½ gate puññasambh±re ijjhanakaviseso puññavato iddhi.
