Yañhi himap±tasamaye himena paµicchann± hutv± maggappaµipanna½ jana½ musanti, aya½ himavipar±moso. Sam±d±yeva pakkamat²ti aµµhavidha½ bhikkhu parikkh±ramattaka½ sabba½ gahetv±va k±yapaµibaddha½ katv±va gacchati. “Mama vih±ro pariveºa½ upaµµh±ko”ti saªgo v± baddho v± na hoti. So jiy± muttasaro viya y³th± pakkanto, mattahatth² viya icchiticchita½ sen±sana½ vanasaº¹a½ rukkham³la½ vanapattha½ pabbh±ra½ paribhuñjanto ekova tiµµhati, ekova nis²dati. Sabbiriy±pathesu ekova adutiyo.
“C±tuddiso appaµigho ca hoti,
santussam±no itar²tarena;
parissay±na½ sahit± achambh²,
eko care khaggavis±ºakappo”ti. (Su. ni. 42).

Phale pana kh²ºe neva rukkhassa ±rakkha½ µhapenti, na tattha patta½ v± nakha½ v± tuº¹a½ v± µhapenti. Atha kho tasmi½ rukkhe anapekkho hutv± yo ya½ dis±bh±ga½ icchati, so tena sapattabh±rova uppatitv± gacchati. Evameva aya½ bhikkhu nissaªgo nirapekkhoyeva pakkamati, tena vutta½ sam±d±yeva pakkamat²ti. Ariyen±ti niddosena. Ajjhattanti sake attabh±ve. Anavajjasukhanti niddosasukha½.
181. So cakkhun± r³pa½ disv±ti so imin± ariyena s²lakkhandhena samann±gato bhikkhu cakkhuviññ±ºena r³pa½ passitv±ti attho. Sesapadesupi ya½ vattabba½, ta½ sabba½ heµµh± vuttameva. Aby±sekasukhanti kilesehi anavasittasukha½. Avikiººasukhantipi vutta½. Indriyasa½varasukhañhi diµµh±d²su diµµhamatt±divasena pavattat±ya avikiººa½ hoti.
182. So abhikkante paµikkanteti so manacchaµµh±na½ indriy±na½ sa½varena samann±gato bhikkhu imesu abhikkantapaµikkant±d²su sattasu µh±nesu satisampajaññavasena sampaj±nak±r² hoti. Tattha ya½ vattabba½ siy±, ta½ jh±navibhaªge vuttameva.
So imin± c±ti-±din± ki½ dasseti? Araññav±sassa paccayasampatti½ dasseti. Yassa hi ime catt±ro paccay± natthi tassa araññav±so na ijjhati, tiracch±nagatehi v± vanacarakehi v± saddhi½ vattabbata½ ±pajjati. Araññe adhivatth± devat± “ki½ evar³passa p±pabhikkhuno araññav±sen±”ti bherava½ sadda½ s±venti. Hatthehi s²sa½ paharitv± pal±yan±k±ra½ karonti “Asuko bhikkhu arañña½ pavisitv± idañcidañca p±pakamma½ ak±s²”ti ayaso pattharati. Yassa panete catt±ro paccay± atthi, tassa araññav±so ijjhati. So hi attano s²la½ paccavekkhanto kiñci k±¼aka½ v± tilaka½ v± apassanto p²ti½ upp±detv± ta½ khayato vayato sammasanto ariyabh³mi½ okkamati. Araññe adhivatth± devat± attaman± vaººa½ bh±santi. Itissa udake pakkhittatelabindu viya yaso vitth±riko hoti. Vivittanti-±d²ni heµµh± vuttatth±neva. So eva½ sam±hite citte…pe… yath±kamm³page satte paj±n±t²ti ettake µh±ne ya½ vattabba½ siy±, ta½ sabba½ visuddhimagge vuttameva.
185. Tatiyavijj±ya so eva½ sam±hite citteti vipassan±p±daka½ catutthajjh±nacitta½ veditabba½. ¾sav±na½ khayañ±º±y±ti arahattamaggañ±ºatth±ya. Arahattamaggo hi ±sav±na½ vin±sanato ±sav±na½ khayoti vuccati. Tatra ceta½ ñ±ºa½ tappariy±pannatt±ti. Citta½ abhininn±met²ti vipassan±citta½ abhin²harati. So ida½ dukkhanti evam±d²su– “ettaka½ dukkha½, na ito bhiyyo”ti sabbampi dukkhasacca½ sarasalakkhaºappaµivedhena yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±ti, paµivijjhati. Tassa ca dukkhassa nibbattika½ taºha½– aya½ dukkhasamudayoti; tadubhayampi ya½ µh±na½ patv± nirujjhati, ta½ tesa½ appavatti½ nibb±na½– aya½ dukkhanirodhoti; tassa ca samp±paka½ ariyamagga½– aya½ dukkhanirodhag±min² paµipad±ti sarasalakkhaºapaµivedhena yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±ti, paµivijjhat²ti– evamattho veditabbo.
Eva½ sar³pato sacc±ni dassetv± id±ni kilesavasena pariy±yato dassento ime ±sav±ti-±dim±ha. Tassa eva½ j±nato eva½ passatoti tassa eva½ j±nantassa eva½ passantassa saha vipassan±ya koµippatta½ magga½ katheti. K±m±sav±ti k±m±savato. Vimuccat²ti imin± maggakkhaºa½ dasseti. Puthujjanakaly±ºakena hi saddhi½ satta sekkh± brahmacariyav±sa½ vasanti n±ma. Kh²º±savo vuµµhav±so. Tasm± so attano brahmacariyav±sa½ paccavekkhanto vusita½ brahmacariyanti paj±n±ti. Kata½ karaº²yanti cat³su saccesu cat³hi maggehi pariññ±pah±nasacchikiriy±bh±van±vasena so¼asavidhampi kicca½ niµµh±pitanti attho. Puthujjanakaly±ºak±dayo hi ta½ kicca½ karonti; kh²º±savo katakaraº²yo. Tasm± so attano karaº²ya½ paccavekkhanto. “Kata½ karaº²yan”ti paj±n±ti. N±para½ itthatt±y±ti “id±ni puna etthabh±v±ya eva½ so¼asakiccabh±v±ya kilesakkhay±ya v± maggabh±van±kicca½ natth²”ti paj±n±ti.

Catuttho lokiyamah±jano veditabbo.
188. Anusotag±m²-±d²su– anusotag±m²ti vaµµasota½ anugato, vaµµasote nimuggo puthujjano veditabbo. Paµisotag±m²ti paµisotagamano Anusota½ agantv± paµisota½ gacchantasseta½ adhivacana½. P±pañca kamma½ na karot²ti paññatta½ v²tikkamanto na karoti. Sah±pi dukkhena sah±pi domanassen±ti kilesapariyuµµh±ne sati uppannena dukkhadomanassena saddhimpi. Paripuººanti tissanna½ sikkh±na½ ek±yapi an³na½. Parisuddhanti nirupakkilesa½. Brahmacariyanti seµµhacariya½. Imin± v±rena sot±pannasakad±g±mino kathit±. Thale tiµµhat²ti arahattaphalasam±pattithale tiµµhati. Cetovimuttinti phalasam±dhi½. Paññ±vimuttinti phalañ±ºa½. Aya½ vuccat²ti aya½ kh²º±savo “tiººo p±raªgato thale tiµµhati br±hmaºo”ti vuccati.
