86. Tattha katamo sam±ropano h±ro? Manas±yeva pasannena satoyevettha pasanno api ca cittavod±n± satt± vimuccant²ti tena satt± cittapubbaªgam± cittena pasannena cetan±pi tattha cittabh³t± bhavant²ti paµigh± aya½ cetan±na½ pas±dena k±yo cassa pas±do so ca ±rabhati pas±dena pasanno saññ±nanti cassa avipar²t±, so pañcavidho vikkhambhan±, k±yapassambhan±yev± pas±do cittasito citta½ pana pubba½yeva pasanna½. Aya½ sam±ropan±. Eva½ pañcannampi pas±do. Tato na½ sukhamanvet²ti katama½ bhagav± niddisati? Na hi attasacca½ tassa kammassa vip±ko anveti. Sot±pattaªgamadukkh±ya½ bh³miya½ paripuºº± vuccati. Tasmi½yeva bh³miya½ sekkhas²la½ ariy± dh±ranti vuccati. Tasmi½yeva bh³miya½ mudupaññ± paññindriyanti vuccati. Tasmi½yeva bh³miya½ khandhehi anatthikat±, aya½ c±go. Tasm± saddh± c±g±dhiµµh±nena niddisitabb±. Yatikena [tena (ka.)] bhiyyo manena s± hissa vipar²t± diµµhik± assaddh±, s± nayana-upadh²su pamatt± sam±dinn±. Ime catt±ro dhamm± s²la½ paribh±vayanti saddh± s²la½ c±go ca paññ±ti. Tattha saddh±ya ogha½ tarati. Ya½ s²la½, aya½ appam±do. Yo c±go, ida½ paññ±ya kamma½. Y± saddh± t±ya bhagavanta½ anussarati mattenapi hatthin± sam±gat±, assa bho kukkur± sabba½ s²lena nappaµipajjati k±yena v± v±c±ya v± µh±na½ vis±rado bhavat²ti avippaµis±r² paññ± yassa paññatta½ upaµµhapeti. Tassa akhaº¹assa s²la½ ya½ na pacchi tassa½ mohassa akusalacitta½ uppajjati micch±diµµhisahagata½ v±, aya½ vicayo h±ro. Dhammav±dino bhaddik±r±ti bhavissati atthi es± yutti.

Saddh±ya bhaºit±ya sabb±ni satta dhan±ni bhaºit±ni honti saddh±dhana½…pe… s²lakkhandhe vutte sam±dhikkhandho ca paññ±kkhandho ca vutt± bhavanti. Ya½ ta½ citta½ d²gharatta½ paribh±vita½ pacchimake k±le na tadanuparivatti bhavissat²ti neta½ µh±na½ vijjati. Tattha saññ±pi tadanuparivattin² bhavati.
