eva½ vimutto udat±ri ogha½, atiººapubba½ apunabbhav±y±”ti.
“Uddhan”ti r³padh±tu ca ar³padh±tu ca. “Adho”ti k±madh±tu. “Sabbadhi vippamutto”ti tedh±tuke aya½ asekkh±vimutti. T±niyeva asekkh±ni pañcindriy±ni, aya½ indriyehi otaraº±.

Sekkh±ya ca vimuttiy± asekkh±ya ca vimuttiy± vimutto udat±ri ogha½ atiººapubba½ apunabbhav±ya. Ten±ha bhagav± “uddha½ adho”ti.
43. “Nissitassa [passa ud±. 74] calita½, anissitassa calita½ natthi, calite asati passaddhi, passaddhiy± sati nati na hoti, natiy± asati ±gatigati na hoti, ±gatigatiy± asati cut³pap±to na hoti, cut³pap±te asati nevidha na hura½ na ubhayamantarena esevanto dukkhass±”ti.
“Nissitassa calitan”ti nissayo n±ma duvidho taºh±nissayo ca diµµhinissayo ca. Tattha y± rattassa cetan±, aya½ taºh±nissayo; y± m³¼hassa cetan±, aya½ diµµhinissayo. Cetan± pana saªkh±r±, saªkh±rapaccay± viññ±ºa½, viññ±ºapaccay± n±mar³pa½, eva½ sabbo paµiccasamupp±do. Aya½ paµiccasamupp±dehi otaraº±.
Tattha y± rattassa vedan±, aya½ sukh± vedan±. Y± samm³¼hassa vedan±, aya½ adukkhamasukh± vedan±, im± dve vedan± vedan±kkhandho. Aya½ khandhehi otaraº±.
Tattha sukh± vedan± dve indriy±ni sukhindriya½ somanassindriyañca, adukkhamasukh± vedan± upekkhindriya½. Aya½ indriyehi otaraº±.
T±niyeva indriy±ni saªkh±rapariy±pann±ni, ye saªkh±r± s±sav± bhavaªg±, te saªkh±r± dhammadh±tusaªgahit±. Aya½ dh±t³hi otaraº±.

“Passaddhiy± sat²”ti duvidh± passaddhi k±yik± ca cetasik± ca. Ya½ k±yika½ sukha½, aya½ k±yapassaddhi. Ya½ cetasika½ sukha½, aya½ cetasik± passaddhi. Passaddhak±yo sukha½ vediyati [vedayati (ka.)], sukhino citta½ sam±dhiyati, sam±hito yath±bh³ta½ paj±n±ti, yath±bh³ta½ paj±nanto nibbindati, nibbindanto virajjati, vir±g± vimuccati, vimuttasmi½ “vimutta”miti [vimuttamh²ti (s². ka.)] ñ±ºa½ hoti, “kh²º± j±ti, vusita½ brahmacariya½, kata½ karaº²ya½, n±para½ itthatt±y±”ti paj±n±ti. Atha kho gambh²ro appameyyo asaªkheyyo nibbutotiyeva saªkha½ gacchati khay± r±gassa, khay± dosassa, khay± mohassa.
Y±ya vedan±ya…pe… y±ya saññ±ya. Yehi saªkh±rehi. Yena viññ±ºena tath±gata½ tiµµhanta½ caranta½ paññ±payam±no paññ±peyya, tassa viññ±ºassa khay± vir±g± nirodh± c±g± paµinissagg± viññ±ºasaªkhaye vimutto, tath±gato atth²tipi na upeti, natth²tipi na upeti, atthi natth²tipi na upeti, nevatthi no natth²tipi na upeti. Atha kho gambh²ro appameyyo asaªkheyyo nibbutotiyeva saªkha½ gacchati khay± r±gassa, khay± dosassa, khay± mohassa. “¾gat²”ti idh±gati. “Gat²”ti peccabhavo. ¾gatigat²pi na bhavanti, “nevidh±”ti chasu ajjhattikesu ±yatanesu. “Na huran”ti chasu b±hiresu ±yatanesu. “Na ubhayamantaren±”ti phassasamuditesu dhammesu att±na½ na passati. “Esevanto dukkhass±”ti paµiccasamupp±do. So duvidho lokiyo ca lokuttaro ca. Tattha lokiyo avijj±paccay± saªkh±r±, y±va jar±maraº±. Lokuttaro s²lavato avippaµis±ro j±yati, y±va n±para½ itthatt±y±ti paj±n±ti. Ten±ha bhagav± “nissitassa calita½ anissitassa calita½ natthi…pe… esevanto dukkhass±”ti.
44. “Ye keci sok± paridevit± v±, dukkh± [dukkha½ (s². ka.) passa ud±. 78] ca lokasmimanekar³p±.
Piya½ paµiccappabhavanti ete, piye asante na bhavanti ete.
Tasm± hi te sukhino v²tasok±, yesa½ piya½ natthi kuhiñci loke;
tasm± asoka½ viraja½ patthay±no, piya½ na kayir±tha kuhiñci loke”ti.
“Ye keci sok± paridevit± v±, dukkh± ca lokasmimanekar³p± piya½ paµiccappabhavanti ete”ti– aya½ dukkh± vedan±. “Piye asante na bhavanti ete”ti– aya½ sukh± vedan±. Vedan± vedan±kkhandho. Aya½ khandhehi otaraº±.
Vedan±paccay± taºh±, taºh±paccay± up±d±na½, up±d±napaccay± bhavo, bhavapaccay± j±ti, j±tipaccay± jar±maraºa½, eva½ sabba½. Aya½ paµiccasamupp±dehi otaraº±.
Tattha sukh± vedan± dve indriy±ni– sukhindriya½ somanassindriyañca. Dukkh± vedan± dve indriy±ni– dukkhindriya½ domanassindriyañca. Aya½ indriyehi otaraº±.
T±niyeva indriy±ni saªkh±rapariy±pann±ni, ye saªkh±r± s±sav± bhavaªg±, te saªkh±r± dhammadh±tusaªgahit±. Aya½ dh±t³hi otaraº±.

Tasm± hi te sukhino v²tasok±, yesa½ piya½ natthi kuhiñci loke;
tasm± asoka½ viraja½ patthay±no, piya½ na kayir±tha kuhiñci loketi.

Ta½yeva taºh±pah±na½ samatho. So samatho dve indriy±ni satindriya½ sam±dhindriyañca. Aya½ indriyehi otaraº±.

K±ma½ k±mayam±nassa, tassa ce ta½ samijjhati;
addh± p²timano hoti, laddh± macco yadicchati.
Tassa ce k±may±nassa, chandaj±tassa jantuno;
te k±m± parih±yanti, sallaviddhova ruppati.
Yo k±me parivajjeti, sappasseva [sabbasseva (ka.) passa su. ni. 774] pad± siro;
soma½ visattika½ loke, sato samativattat²ti.
Tattha y± p²timanat±, aya½ anunayo. Yad±ha sallaviddhova ruppat²ti, ida½ paµigha½. Anunaya½ paµighañca pana taºh±pakkho, taºh±ya ca pana dasar³p²ni ±yatan±ni padaµµh±na½. Aya½ ±yatanehi otaraº±.
T±niyeva dasa r³p²ni r³pak±yo n±masampayutto, tadubhaya½ n±mar³pa½, n±mar³papaccay± sa¼±yatana½, sa¼±yatanapaccay± phasso, phassapaccay± vedan±, vedan±paccay± taºh±, eva½ sabba½. Aya½ paµiccasamupp±dehi otaraº±.
