Tato paµµh±ya te tasseva bali½ ada½su. Athassa mah±l±bhasakk±ro ahosi, tena saddhiññevassa taºh±pi mahat² j±t±. So aparabh±gepi sabba½ janapada½ y±ci, upa¹¹harajja½ y±ci, kaniµµhopi tassa ad±siyeva. So taºh±ya va¹¹ham±n±ya upa¹¹harajjenapi asantuµµho “rajja½ gaºhiss±m²”ti janapadaparivuto ta½ nagara½ gantv± bahinagare µhatv± “rajja½ v± me detu yuddha½ v±”ti kaniµµhassa paººa½ pahiºi. Kaniµµho cintesi “aya½ b±lo pubbe rajjampi uparajj±d²nipi paµikkhipitv± id±ni ‘yuddhena gaºh±m²’ti vadati, sace kho pan±ha½ ima½ yuddhena m±ress±mi, garah± me bhavissati, ki½ me rajjen±”ti. Paññ±ya tittina½ seµµhanti paññ±ya titt²na½ aya½ paripuººaseµµho, ayameva v± p±µho. Na so k±mehi tappat²ti “na h²”tipi p±µho. Yasm± paññ±ya titto puriso k±mehi na pari¹ayhat²ti attho. Na kurute vasanti t±disañhi purisa½ taºh± vase vattetu½ na sakkoti, sveva pana taºh±ya ±d²nava½ disv± sarabhaªgam±ºavo viya ca a¹¹ham±sakar±j± viya ca taºh±vase na pavattat²ti attho. Apacinethev±ti viddha½setheva. Samuddamattoti mahatiy± paññ±ya samann±gatatt± samuddappam±ºo. So mahantena aggin±pi samuddo viya kilesak±mehi na tappati na ¹ayhati.
Rathak±roti cammak±ro. Parikantanti parikantanto. Bodhisattassa pana ima½ g±tha½ kathentassa rañño setacchatta½ ±rammaºa½ katv± od±takasiºajjh±na½ udap±di, r±j±pi arogo ahosi. So tuµµho sayan± vuµµhahitv± “ettak± vejj± ma½ tikicchitu½ n±sakkhi½su, paº¹itam±ºavo pana attano ñ±ºosadhena ma½ niroga½ ak±s²”ti tena saddhi½ sallapanto dasama½ g±tham±ha–

paµigaºha mah±brahme, s±dheta½ tava bh±sitan”ti.
Tattha aµµh±ti dutiyag±tha½ ±di½ katv± k±m±d²navasa½yutt± aµµha. Sahassiy±ti sahass±rah±. Paµigaºh±ti aµµha sahass±ni gaºha. S±dheta½ tava bh±sitanti s±dhu eta½ tava vacana½.

pacchima½ bh±sato g±tha½, k±me me na rato mano”ti.
Tattha pacchimanti “rathak±rova cammass±”ti g±tha½. K±me me na rato manoti ima½ g±tha½ bh±sam±nasseva mama vatthuk±mepi kilesak±mepi mano n±bhiram±mi. Ahañhi ima½ g±tha½ bh±sam±no attanova dhammadesan±ya jh±na½ nibbattesi½, mah±r±j±ti.

Tattha dukkhajananinti sakalavaµµadukkhajanani½. Parij±n±t²ti parij±ni paricchindi, luñcitv± n²har²ti bodhisatta½ vaººento evam±ha.
Bodhisattopi “mah±r±ja, appamatto hutv± dhamma½ car±”ti r±j±na½ ovaditv± ±k±sena himavanta½ gantv± isipabbajja½ pabbajitv± y±vat±yuka½ µhatv± brahmavih±re bh±vetv± aparih²najjh±no hutv± brahmalok³pago ahosi.
