“Adhik±re maªgale ceva, nipphannatthevadh±raºe;
anantarepagamane, atha-saddo pavattati”.
Tath± hi–
“Adhikicca½ adhiµµh±na½, adhi-attha½ vibh±sati;
seµµhajeµµhakabh±vena, adhik±ro vidh²yate”ti.–

Vuttatt± buddh±na½ samatti½sap±ramidhamm±na½ adhikiccato, seµµhajeµµhato adhik±raµµhena atha-saddena yuttamapad±n±n²ti. Tividhabodhisatt±na½ p³j±maªgalasabh±vato “p³j± ca p³janeyy±na½, eta½ maªgalamuttaman”ti vacanato (khu. p±. 5.3; su. ni. 262) maªgalaµµhena atha-saddena yuttamapad±n±n²ti Buddh±d²na½ bhagavant±na½ sampattikiccassa arahattamaggena nipphannato nipphannaµµhena atha-saddena yuttamapad±n±n²ti Buddh±d²na½ arahattamagg±dikusalato aññakusal±na½ abh±vato avadh±raºaµµhena niv±raºaµµhena atha-saddena yuttamapad±n±n²ti. Khuddakap±µhasaªgah±nantara½ saªgahitanti anantaraµµhena atha-saddena yuttamapad±n±n²ti. Ito khuddakap±µhato paµµh±y±ti apagamanaµµhena atha-saddena yuttamapad±n±n²ti.

Buddhoti ettha bujjhit± sacc±n²ti buddho, bodhet± paj±y±ti buddho, sabbaññut±ya buddho, sabbadass±vit±ya buddho, anaññaneyyat±ya buddho, visavit±ya buddho, kh²º±savasaªkh±tena buddho, nirupakkilesasaªkh±tena buddho, pabbajj±saªkh±tena buddho, adutiyaµµhena buddho, taºh±pah±naµµhena buddho, ek±yanamagga½ gatoti buddho, eko anuttara½ samm±sambodhi½ abhisambuddhoti buddho, abuddhivihatatt± buddhipaµil±bh± buddho, buddhi buddha½ bodhoti anatthantarameta½. Yath± n²l±divaººayogato paµo “n²lo paµo, ratto paµo”ti vuccati, eva½ buddhaguºayogato buddho. Atha v± “bodhi”vuccati cat³su maggesu ñ±ºa½, tena ñ±ºena sakaladiya¹¹hasahassakiles±rigaºe khepetv± nibb±n±dhigamanato ñ±ºa½ “bodh²”ti vuccati. Tena sampayutto samaªg²puggalo buddho. Teneva ñ±ºena paccekabuddhopi sabbakilese khepetv± nibb±namadhigacchati. Buddh±na½ pana cat³su asaªkhyeyyesu kappasatasahassesu ca p±ramiyo p³retv± bodhiñ±ºass±dhigatatt± ca indriyaparopariyattañ±ºamah±karuº±sam±pattiñ±ºayamakap±µih²rañ±ºasabbaññutaññ±ºa- an±varaºa-±say±nusay±di-as±dh±raºañ±º±na½ samadhigatatt± ca ek±yapi dhammadesan±ya asaªkhyeyy±sattanik±ye dhamm±mata½ p±yetv± nibb±nassa p±panato ca tadeva ñ±ºa½ buddh±namev±dhikabh±vato tesameva sambuddh±na½ apad±na½ k±raºa½ buddh±pad±na½. Tañhi duvidha½ kusal±kusalavasena. Paccekabuddh± pana na tath± k±tu½ samatth±, ann±dipaccayad±yak±na½ saªgaha½ karont±pi–
“Icchita½ patthita½ tuyha½, khippameva samijjhatu;
p³rentu cittasaªkapp±, cando pannaraso yath±.
“Icchita½ patthita½ tuyha½, khippameva samijjhatu;

Cira½ µhit±ti ther±. Atha v± thirataras²l±c±ramaddav±diguºehi yutt±ti ther±. Atha v± thiravaras²lasam±dhipaññ±vimuttivimuttiñ±ºadassanaguºehi yutt±ti ther±. Atha v± thiratarasaªkh±tapaº²t±nuttarasantinibb±namadhigat±ti ther±, ther±na½ apad±n±ni ther±pad±n±ni. Tath± t±diguºehi yutt±ti ther², ther²na½ apad±n±ni ther²pad±n±ni. Tesu buddh±pad±ne pañceva apad±n±ni, pañceva suttant±. Ten±hu por±º±–
“Pañceva apad±n±ni, pañca sutt±ni yassa ca;
ida½ buddh±pad±nanti, paµhama½ anulomato”ti.
Paccekabuddh±pad±nepi pañceva apad±n±ni, pañceva suttant±. Ten±hu por±º±–
“Pañceva apad±n±ni, pañca sutt±ni yassa ca;
ida½ paccekabuddh±pad±nanti, dutiya½ anulomato”ti.
Ther±pad±nesu das±dhikapañcasat±pad±n±ni, vaggato ekapaññ±sa vagg±. Ten±hu por±º±–
“Pañcasatadasapad±n±ni, ekapaññ±sa vaggato;
ida½ ther±pad±nanti, tatiya½ anulomato”ti.
Ther²-apad±nesu catt±l²sa½ apad±n±ni, vaggato caturo vagg±. Ten±hu por±º±–
“Catt±l²sa½pad±n±ni, catuvagg±ni yassa ca;

Apad±nanti ettha apad±na-saddo k±raºagahaºa-apagamanapaµip±µi-akkosan±d²su dissati. Tath± hi esa “khattiy±na½ apad±na½, br±hmaº±na½ apad±nan”ti-±d²su k±raºe dissati, khattiy±na½ k±raºa½ br±hmaº±na½ k±raºanti attho. “Up±sak±na½ apad±nan”ti-±d²su gahaºe dissati, sa½suµµhu gahaºanti attho. “V±ºij±na½ apad±na½, sudd±na½ apad±nan”ti-±d²su apagamane dissati, tato tato tesa½ apagamananti attho. “Piº¹ap±tiko bhikkhu sapad±nac±ravasena piº¹±ya carat²”ti-±d²su paµip±µiy± dissati, gharapaµip±µiy± carat²ti attho. “Apagat± ime s±maññ±, apagat± ime brahmaññ±ti apad±net²”ti-±d²su akkosane dissati, akkosati paribh±sat²ti attho. Idha pana k±raºe dissati. Tasm± buddh±na½ apad±n±ni buddh±pad±ni, buddhak±raº±n²ti attho. Gaªg±v±luk³pam±na½ anekesa½ buddh±na½ d±nap±ramit±disamatti½sap±ramit± k±raºanti daµµhabba½. Atha adhik±r±d²su yutta-apad±n±ni suddham±nas± suº±th±ti sambandho.
Tattha suddham±nas±ti arahattamaggañ±ºena diya¹¹hakilesasahassa½ khepetv± µhitatt± suddham±nas± parisuddhacitt± suddhahaday± pañcasat± kh²º±sav± imasmi½ dhammasabh±ye sannisinn± suº±tha, ohitasot± manasi karoth±ti attho.
Ettha pana “apad±n±n²”ti avatv± paccekabuddh±pad±nather±pad±nather²-apad±nesu vijjam±nesupi “atha buddh±pad±n±n²”ti vacana½ khandhayamaka-±yatanadh±tusaccasaªkh±ra-anusayayamakesu vijjam±nesupi padh±navasena ±divasena ca “m³layamakan”ti vacana½ viya, terasasaªgh±disesadve-aniyatati½sanissaggiyesu vijjam±nesupi padh±navasena ±divasena ca “p±r±jikakaº¹o”ti vacana½ viya ca idh±pi padh±navasena ±divasena ca vuttanti daµµhabba½.
“Samm±sambuddh±pad±n±n²”ti vattabbe “vaºº±gamo…pe… pañcavidha½ niruttan”ti niruttinayena v± “tesu vuddhilop±gamavik±ravipar²t±des± c±”ti suttena v± tatiyatthav±cakassa samm±tinip±tapadassa, saya½saddatthav±cakassa sa-nti-upasaggapadassa ca lopa½ katv± kitantav±c²buddhasaddameva gahetv± g±th±bandhasukhattha½ “buddh±pad±n±n²”ti vutta½. Tasm± samm±sambuddh±pad±n±n²ti attho.
