827. Eva½ me suta½– eka½ samaya½ ±yasm± ±nando kosambiya½ viharati ghosit±r±me. Atha kho uºº±bho br±hmaºo yen±yasm± ±nando tenupasaªkami; upasaªkamitv± ±yasmat± ±nandena saddhi½ sammodi. Sammodan²ya½ katha½ s±raº²ya½ v²tis±retv± ekamanta½ nis²di. Ekamanta½ nisinno kho uºº±bho br±hmaºo ±yasmanta½ ±nanda½ etadavoca– “kimatthiya½ nu kho, bho ±nanda, samaºe gotame brahmacariya½ vussat²”ti? “Chandappah±nattha½ kho, br±hmaºa, bhagavati brahmacariya½ vussat²”ti. “Atthi pana, bho ±nanda, maggo atthi paµipad± etassa chandassa pah±n±y±”ti? “Atthi kho, br±hmaºa, maggo atthi paµipad± etassa chandassa pah±n±y±”ti. “Katamo pana, bho ±nanda, maggo katam± paµipad± etassa chandassa pah±n±y±”ti? “Idha, br±hmaºa, bhikkhu chandasam±dhippadh±nasaªkh±rasamann±gata½ iddhip±da½ bh±veti, v²riyasam±dhi…pe… cittasam±dhi…pe… v²ma½s±sam±dhippadh±nasaªkh±rasamann±gata½ iddhip±da½ bh±veti– aya½ kho, br±hmaºa, maggo aya½ paµipad± etassa chandassa pah±n±y±”ti. “Eva½ sante, bho ±nanda, santaka½ hoti no asantaka½. Seyyath±pi, bho ±nanda, nikkujjita½ v± ukkujjeyya, paµicchanna½ v± vivareyya, m³¼hassa v± magga½ ±cikkheyya, andhak±re v± telapajjota½ dh±reyya– cakkhumanto r³p±ni dakkhant²ti; evameva½ bhot± ±nandena anekapariy±yena dhammo pak±sito.
