Yasm± mukh±gatoya½ sambandho, na p³j±gat±diko, yo ca y±cakay±citabbat±vasena hoti, tadubhayañcettha natth²ti dassento bhagav± sunakkhatta½ “ko santo ka½ pacc±cikkhas²”ti avoca, tasm± tamattha½ dassetu½ “y±cako v±”ti-±di vutta½. So hi manuss±na½ citt±dhiµµh±namattena ijjhanato tesa½ sambh±vitadhammo viya µhito tath± vutto, manussaggahaºañcettha tesu bahula½ pavattanato. Sampar±yik± pana ±d²nav± anekavidh±, te dassento sunakkhatto na saddaheyy±ti diµµhadhammikasseva gahaºa½ Anekak±raºen±ti “itipi so bhagav± arahan”ti-±din± (d². ni. 1.157, 255) anekavidhena vaººak±raºena. Eva½ me avaººo na bhavissat²ti ajjh±sayena attano b±lat±ya vaºº±rah±na½ avaººa½ kathetv±.
