bhavavippah±n±ya kho panida½ brahmacariya½ vussati.

Ye v± pana keci samaº± v± br±hmaº± v± vibhavena bhavassa nissaraºam±ha½su “anissaµ± bhavasm±”ti vad±mi. Aya½ diµµhisa½kileso, ta½ diµµhisa½kileso ca taºh±sa½kileso ca, ubhayameta½ sa½kileso. Ya½ punaggahaºa½ bhavavippah±n±ya brahmacariya½ vussati, y±va sabbaso up±d±nakkhay± sambhav±, ida½ nibbedhabh±giya½. Tassa nibbutassa bhikkhuno y±va upaccag± sabbabhav±ni t±d²ti ida½ asekkhabh±giya½. Catt±ro puggal± anusotag±m² sa½kileso µhitatto ca paµisotag±m² ca nibbedho. Thale tiµµhat²ti asekkhabh³mi. 16. Tattha katama½ v±san±bh±giyañca nibbedhabh±giyañca sutta½?
“Dadato [ud±. 75; d². ni. 2.197] puñña½ pava¹¹hati, sa½yamato vera½ na c²yati;
kusalo ca jah±ti p±paka½, r±gadosamohakkhay± sanibbuto”ti.
“Dadato puñña½ pava¹¹hati, sa½yamato vera½ na c²yat²”ti v±san±. “Kusalo ca jah±ti p±paka½, r±gadosamohakkhay± sanibbuto”ti nibbedho. Sot±nugatesu dhammesu vacas± paricitesu manas±nupekkhitesu diµµhiy± suppaµividdhesu pañc±nisa½s± p±µikaªkh±. No ce devabh³to p±puº±ti, tena dhammar±gena t±ya dhammanandiy± paccekabodhi½ p±puº±ti. Tatth±ya½ diµµheva dhamme p±puº±ti, aya½ nibbedho. Ya½ sampar±ye paccekabodhi½ p±puº±ti, aya½ v±san±. Im±ni so¼asa sutt±ni sabbas±sana½ atiggaºhanto tiµµhanti. Imehi so¼asahi suttehi navavidho suttanto vibhatto bhavati. So ca paññavato no duppaññassa, yuttassa no ayuttassa, akammassa vih±rissa pakatiy± loke sa½kileso carati. So sa½kileso tividho– taºh±sa½kileso diµµhisa½kileso duccaritasa½kileso. Tato sa½kilesato uµµhahanto sa½kileso dhammesu patiµµhahati, lokiyesu patiµµhahat²ti. Tatth±kusalo diµµhato sace ta½ s²lañca diµµhiñca par±masati, tassa so taºh±sa½kileso hoti. Sace panassa eva½ hoti “imin±ha½ s²lena v± vatena v± brahmacariyena v± devo v± bhavissa½ [bhaviss±mi (p².)] devaññataro v±”ti yassa hoti micch±diµµhi, etassa micch±diµµhisa½kileso bhavati. Sace pana s²le patiµµhito apar±maµµhassa hi s²lavata½ hoti, tassa ta½ s²lavato yoniso gahita½ avippaµis±ra½ janeti y±va vimuttiñ±ºadassana½, tañca tassa diµµheva dhamme k±laªkatassa v± tamhiyeva v± pana apar±pariy±yena v±, aññesu khandhesu eva½ suta½ “sucarita½ v±san±ya sa½vattat²”ti v±san±bh±giya½ sutta½ vuccati. Tattha s²lesu µhitassa vin²varaºa½ citta½, ta½ tato sakk±yadiµµhippah±n±ya bhagav± dhamma½ deseti. So accantaniµµha½ nibb±na½ p±puº±ti; yadi v± s±sanantare, accanta½ nibb±na½ p±puº±ti, yadi v± ek±sane cha abhiññe. Tattha dve puggal± ariyadhamme p±puºanti saddh±nus±r² ca dhamm±nus±r² ca. Tattha dhamm±nus±r² ugghaµitaññ³, saddh±nus±r² neyyo. Tattha ugghaµitaññ³ duvidho– koci tikkhindriyo koci mudindriyo. Tattha neyyopi duvidho– koci tikkhindriyo koci mudindriyo. Tattha yo ca ugghaµitaññ³ mudindriyo, yo ca neyyo tikkhindriyo, ime puggal± asamindriy± honti. Tattha ime puggal± samindriy± parih±yanti ca ugghaµitaññuto, vipañcitaññ³ neyyato, ime majjhim± bh³migat± vipañcitaññ³ hoti. Ime tayo puggal±. 17. Tattha catutth± pana pañcam± ugghaµitaññ³ vipañcitaññ³ neyyo ca, tattha ugghaµitaññ³ puggalo indriy±ni paµilabhitv± dassanabh³miya½ µhito sot±pattiphalañca p±puº±ti, ekab²j² hoti paµhamo sot±panno.
