N±tha½ cat³hi n±thaªgehi samann±gata½ bhagavanta½ natv± vanditv± ±do ±dimhi upasampannato paµµh±ya navakena bhikkhun± adhun± pabbajitena upasampannena m³labh±s±ya m±gadhabh±s±ya sikkhitu½ sam±sato saªkhepena m³lasikkha½ aha½ pavakkh±m²ti piº¹attho.
Aya½ pana avayavattho– natv±ti tanninnatappoºatappabbh±ro hutv± k±yavac²manodv±rehi vanditv±ti attho. N±that²ti n±tho, veneyy±na½ hitasukha½ mett±yanavasena ±s²sati patthet²ti attho, atha v± n±thati veneyyagate kilese upat±pet²ti attho, n±thati v± y±cat²ti attho. Bhagav± hi “s±dhu, bhikkhave, bhikkhu k±lena k±la½ attasampatti½ paccavekkheyy±”ti-±din± (a. ni. 8.7) satt±na½ ta½ ta½ hitappaµipatti½ y±citv±pi karuº±ya samuss±hito te tattha niyojeti. Paramena v± cittissariyena samann±gato sabbasatte ²sati abhibhavat²ti paramissaro bhagav± “n±tho”ti vuccati. Sabbo c±yamattho saddasatth±nus±rato veditabbo. Pavakkh±m²ti pak±rena kathess±mi. M³lasikkh±ti adhis²la-adhicitta-adhipaññ±vasena tissopi sikkh±, upasampannassa suppatiµµhitabh±vas±dhanaµµhena m³l± ca s± sikkhitabbato sikkh± c±ti m³lasikkh±. Ganthavasenettha saªkhipitv± vuttatt± tadd²pano gantho “m³lasikkh±”ti vuccati.
Tattha katama½ s²la½, katama½ adhis²la½, katama½ citta½, katama½ adhicitta½, katam± paññ±, katam± adhipaññ±ti? Vuccate– pañcaªga-aµµhaªgadasaªgas²la½ t±va s²lameva. P±timokkhasa½varas²la½ pana “adhis²lan”ti vuccati. Tañhi s³riyo viya pajjot±na½, sineru viya pabbat±na½ sabbalokiyas²l±na½ adhikañceva uttamañca. P±timokkhasa½varatopi ca maggaphalasampayuttameva s²la½ adhis²la½, ta½ pana idha n±dhippeta½. Na hi ta½ sikkhanto methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevati. K±m±vacar±ni pana aµµha kusalacitt±ni, lokiya-aµµhasam±patticitt±ni ca ekajjha½ katv± cittameva. Vipassan±p±daka½ aµµhasam±patticitta½ pana “adhicittan”ti vuccati. Tañhi sabbalokiyacitt±na½ adhikañceva uttamañca. Tatopi ca maggaphalacittameva adhicitta½, ta½ pana idha n±dhippeta½. Na hi ta½ sikkhanto methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevati. “Atthi dinna½, atthi yiµµhan”ti-±dinayappavatta½ kammassakat±ñ±ºa½ paññ±, tilakkhaº±k±raparicchedaka½ pana vipassan±ñ±ºa½ “adhipaññ±”ti vuccati. S± hi sabbalokiyapaññ±na½ adhik± ceva uttam± ca. Tatopi ca maggaphalapaññ±va adhipaññ±, s± pana idha n±dhippet±. Na hi ta½ sikkhanto methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevati.
T±su t²su adhis²lasikkh± c±rittav±rittavasena duvidhampi s²la½ yath±nusiµµha½ paµipajjam±nena, tappaµipakkhe kilese tadaªgappah±navasena pajahantena sikkhitabb±. Adhicittasikkh± yath±vuttesu ±rammaºesu abhiyogavasena jh±nappaµipakkh±na½ n²varaºagaº±na½ vikkhambhanappah±na½ kurum±nena sikkhitabb±. Adhipaññ±sikkh± pana yath±nur³pa½ tadaªgappah±nasamucchedavasena s±nusaye kilese samucchindantena sikkhitabb±. Tasm± suppatiµµhitabh±vas±dhanaµµhena m³l± ca s± sikkhitabbato sikkh± c±ti m³lasikkh±, kammavacanicch±ya½ “m³lasikkhan”ti vutta½.
Sam±s²yate saªkhip²yateti sam±so, tato sam±sato. Samaggena saªghena ñatticatutthena kammena akuppena µh±n±rahena upasampannoti bhikkhu. Tattha sabbantimena pariy±yena pañcavaggakaraº²ye kamme y±vatik± bhikkh³ kammappatt±, tesa½ ±gatatt±, chand±rah±na½ chandassa ±haµatt±, sammukh²bh³t±nañca appaµikkosanato ekasmi½ kamme samaggabh±va½ upagatena saªghena t²hi anuss±van±hi ek±ya ñattiy± k±tabbakammasaªkh±tena ñatticatutthena dhammikena vinayakammena vatthuñatti-anuss±vanas²m±paris±sampattisampannatt± akopetabbata½, appaµikkositabbata½ upagatena µh±n±rahena k±raº±rahena satthus±san±rahena upasampanno n±ma, uparibh±va½ sam±panno pattoti attho. Bhikkhubh±vo hi uparibh±vo. Tañcesa yath±vuttena kammena sam±pannatt± “upasampanno”ti vuccati, tena bhikkhun±. Ðnapañcavassat±ya navako, tena navakena adhun± pabbajitena, acirapabbajiten±ti vutta½ hoti. ¾doti ±dimhiyev±ti attho, ±dito paµµh±y±ti v±. Api ca thero “±do”ti vacanena saddh±pabbajit±na½ kulaputt±na½ ±lasiyadosena, appaµipajjant±na½ aññ±ºadosena ca aññath± paµipajjant±na½ sa½vega½ janeti. Katha½? Atidullabha½ khaºa½ samav±ya½ paµilabhitv± taªkhaºa½ na kus²tena v± niratthakakath±pasutena v± v²tin±metabba½, ki½ k±tabba½? ¾dito paµµh±ya nirantarameva t²su sikkh±su ±daro janetabboti.
“S± m±gadh² m³labh±s±, nar± y±y±dikappik±;
brahm±no cassut±l±p±, sambuddh± c±pi bh±sare”ti.–
