pageva sikkh±padabh±vabhedo,
pageva añño ubhayattha tattha.
Paccekabuddh± api ta½ dvayantu,
ñ±tu½ na sakk±va pageva netu½;
nissa½saya½ tattha tath±gatova,
j±nissaticc±ha tath±gatoti.
Iccetamattha½ idha bhikkhu ñatv±,
sikkh±pad±na½ kamabh±vabheda½;
ñ±tu½ saya½ no na pare ca netu½,
pariyesitabbo idha yuttimaggo.
Tattha kamabhedo sikkh±pad±na½ parato ±vi bhavissati. Bh±vabhedo t±va ukkhittak±nuvattanapaccay±bhikkhu an±pattiko, bhikkhun² pana samanubhaµµh± p±r±jik± hoti. P±r±jik±pattipaµicch±danebhikkhussa dukkaµa½, bhikkhuniy± p±r±jika½. Duµµhulla½ ±rocentassa, paµicch±dentassaca p±cittiya½. Mah±s±vajja½ p±r±jika½ ±rocentassa, paµicch±dentassa ca bhikkhussadukkaµa½. Iccevam±d²hi abh±vabhedasikkh±pad±na½ idha bh±vabhedena yuttipariyesana½s±dhayam±nopi siy± anumm±davigh±tabh±g²ti. Keci pana “paµhama½ kiriya½ pekkhati, dutiya½ deyyadhamman”tivadanti. ¾cariyo pana “paµhamayojan±ya ya½ d±napuñña½, ta½ kuto labbh±. Puññantar±yabahul±hi ghar±v±s±ti. Dutiyayojan±ya tem±sabbhantare yamaha½ dadeyya½, atikkantak±latt± tamaha½sampati kuto dadeyyanti dasset²”ti vadati. S²l±dikusaladhammasandassan±didhammaratanavassa½.

Etth±ha– ki½ bhagavatom±r±vaµµanapaµigh±t±ya satti natth²ti? Atthi, tath±pissa pacch± upaguttak±le pas±dahetutt±adhiv±seti. Ettha upagutt±dhiµµh±na½ vattabba½. Buddh±na½ ±ciººanti dijadassanenaki½payojananti ce? M±r±vaµµanahetu br±hmaºassa puññantar±yoti payojana½.
Dijopi so m±ramanorathassa,
bhaªga½ karonto jinapuªgavassa;
sassissasaªghassa ad±si d±na½,
asesaka½ kappiyabhaº¹abheda½.
Ki½ bhagav± sasisso t±va mahanta½ kappiyabhaº¹a½ ubbhaº¹ika½ katv± agam±s²ti? Naagam±si, tem±sibh±giya½ pana puññar±sika½ deyyadhamma½ appaµikkhipanto br±hmaºassa up±yatosatth± ad±si.
Tadaññath± m±ramanorathova,
p³ro siy± neva dijassa bhiyyo;
p±pa½ mahanta½ api p±puºeyya,
micch±bhim±nena tath±gate so.
Tasm± bhagav± ass±diyanto ta½ deyyadhamma½ appaµikkhipanto up±yena br±hmaºassa puññabuddhi½katv±, m±rassa ca manorathavigh±ta½ katv± agam±s²ti, “aya½ nayo aµµhakatha½ vin±pip±¼inay±nulomato siddho”ti vadanti. Katha½?–
“Satth± sasisso yadi aggahesi,
dijassa ta½ c²varam±ditova;
n±thassa no v²sativassak±le,
virujjhate j²vakay±can±pi;
tath±pi sabba½ suvic±rayitv±,
yutta½ naya½ cintayitu½va yuttan”ti.

Tattha bhagavat± r±jagahe bhikkh³na½ p±timokkhuddesa½ anuj±nantenap±timokkhuddesassa yo desan±kkamo anuññ±to, ta½ desan±kkamamanulomento ±yasm±mah±kassapo paµhama½ p±r±jikuddesa½ pucchi, tadanantara½ saªgh±disesuddesa½, tato aniyatuddesa½vitth±ruddesañca pucchitv± tadanantara½ bhikkhun²vibhaªgañca teneva anukkamena pucchi,nid±nuddesantogadh±nañca sar³pena anuddiµµh±na½ pucchanattha½ khandhakepi pucchi. Etena ca khandhakepaññatt± thullaccay± saªgahit± honti. Pucchit±nukkameneva up±litthero ta½ sabba½s±pattibhed±dika½ desento thullaccayadubbh±sita-±pattisamuµµh±n±did²paka½ antokatv±desesi, ayamettha desan±kkamo. Ubhatovibhaªgakhandhakato pana uccinitv± tad± pariv±rap±¼ivisu½ kat±. Imameva naya½ sandh±ya aµµhakath±ya½ vutta½ “eteneva up±yena khandhakapariv±repi±ropesun”ti-±di (p±r±. aµµha. 1.paµhamamah±saªg²tikath±). Apica p±¼iy± “etenevup±yenaubhatovinaye pucchi. Aññath± ta½ bhikkhun²na½ anuppannapaññatti siy±. Tato “anuppannapaññatti tasmi½ natth²”ti (pari. 247)pariv±re eta½ vacana½ virujjhati, ett±vat± purimena kamattayena paµhama½ desetabbata½patte p±r±jikuddese paµhamuppannatt± methunadhammap±r±jika½ sabbapaµhama½ desetuk±mo up±litthero“tatra suda½ bhagav± ves±liyan”ti ves±limeva p±petv± µhapesi.
