“Na, bhikkhave, kuruvindakasuttiy± nah±yitabba½, yo nah±yeyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 243) vacanato kuruvindakasuttiy±pi nah±yitu½ na vaµµati. Kuruvindakasutti n±ma kuruvindakap±s±ŗacuŗŗ±ni l±kh±ya bandhitv± katagu¼ikakal±pako vuccati, ya½ ubhosu antesu gahetv± sar²ra½ gha½santi.
“Na, bhikkhave, viggayha parikamma½ k±r±petabba½, yo k±r±peyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 243) vacanato ańńamańńa½ sar²rena gha½situ½ na vaµµati.
“Na, bhikkhave, mallakena nah±yitabba½, yo nah±yeyya, ±patti dukkaµassa. Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, gil±nassa akatamallakan”ti (c³¼ava. 243-244) vacanato makaradaŗ¹ake chinditv± mallakam³lasaŗµh±nena kata½ “mallakan”ti vuccati, ida½ gil±nassapi na vaµµati. Akatamallaka½ n±ma dante acchinditv± kata½, ida½ agil±nassa na vaµµati, iµµhakakhaŗ¹a½ pana kap±lakhaŗ¹a½ v± vaµµati.
“Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, ukk±sika½ puthup±ŗikan”ti (c³¼ava. 244) vacanato ukk±sika½ puthup±ŗikańca vaµµati. Ukk±sika½ n±ma vatthavaµµi, tasm± nah±yantassa yassa kassaci nah±nas±µakavaµµiy± piµµhi½ gha½situ½ vaµµati. Puthup±ŗikanti hatthaparikamma½ vuccati, tasm± sabbesa½ hatthena piµµhiparikamma½ k±tu½ vaµµati.
Ida½ panettha nah±navatta½– udakatittha½ gantv± yattha v± tattha v± c²vara½ nikkhipitv± vegena µhitakeneva na otaritabba½, sabbadis± pana oloketv± vivittabh±va½ ńatv± kh±ŗugumbalat±d²ni vavatthapetv± tikkhattu½ ukk±sitv± avakujja µhitena uttar±saŖgac²vara½ apanetv± pas±retabba½, k±yabandhana½ mocetv± c²varapiµµheyeva µhapetabba½. Sace udakas±µik± natthi, udakante ukkuµika½ nis²ditv± niv±sana½ mocetv± sace ninnaµµh±na½ atthi, ±tape pas±retabba½. No ce atthi, sa½haritv± µhapetabba½. Otarantena saŗika½ n±bhippam±ŗamatta½ otaritv± v²ci½ anuµµhapentena sadda½ akarontena nivattitv± ±gatadis±bhimukhena nimujjitabba½, eva½ c²vara½ rakkhita½ hoti. Ummujjantenapi sadda½ akarontena saŗika½ ummujjitv± nah±napariyos±ne udakante ukkuµikena nis²ditv± niv±sana½ parikkhipitv± uµµh±ya suparimaŗ¹ala½ niv±setv± k±yabandhana½ bandhitv± c²vara½ p±rupitv±va µh±tabba½.
22. “Na, bhikkhave, vallik± dh±retabb±… na p±maŖgo dh±retabbo… na kaŗµhasuttaka½ dh±retabba½… na kaµisuttaka½ dh±retabba½… na ovaµµika½ dh±retabba½… na k±y³ra½ dh±retabba½… na hatth±bharaŗa½ dh±retabba½… na aŖgulimuddik± dh±retabb±, yo dh±reyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 245) vacanato kaŗŗapi¼andhan±di ya½ kińci ±bharaŗa½ na vaµµati. Tattha (c³¼ava. aµµha. 245) vallik±ti kaŗŗato nikkhantamuttolambak±d²na½ eta½ adhivacana½. Na kevalańca vallik± eva, ya½ kińci kaŗŗapi¼andhana½ antamaso t±lapaŗŗampi na vaµµati. P±maŖganti ya½ kińci palambakasutta½. Kaŗµhasuttakanti ya½ kińci g²v³paga½ ±bharaŗa½. Kaµisuttakanti ya½ kińci kaµipi¼andhana½, antamaso suttatantumattampi. Ovaµµikanti valaya½. K±y³r±d²ni p±kaµ±neva.
23. “Na, bhikkhave, d²gh± kes± dh±retabb±, yo dh±reyya, ±patti dukkaµassa. Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, dvem±sika½ v± duvaŖgula½ v±”ti (c³¼ava. 246) vacanato sace kes± antodvem±se dvaŖgula½ p±puŗanti, antodvem±seyeva chinditabb±, dvaŖgulehi atikk±metu½ na vaµµati. Sacepi na d²gh±, dvem±sato ekadivasampi atikk±metu½ na labhatiyeva. Ubhayath±pi ukkaµµhaparicchedova vutto, tato ora½ pana na vaµµanabh±vo n±ma natthi.
“Na bhikkhave, kattarik±ya kes± ched±petabb±, yo ched±peyya, ±patti dukkaµassa. Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, ±b±dhapaccay± kattarik±ya kese ched±petun”ti (c³¼ava. 275) vacanato ±b±dha½ vin± kattarik±ya kese ched±petu½ na vaµµati.
“Na, bhikkhave, kocchena kes± osaŗµhetabb±… na phaŗakena kes± osaŗµhetabb±… na hatthaphaŗakena kes± osaŗµhetabb±… na sitthatelakena kes± osaŗµhetabb±… na udakatelakena kes± osaŗµhetabb±, yo osaŗµheyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 246) vacanato maŗ¹anatth±ya kocch±d²hi kes± na osaŗµhetabb±, uddhalomena pana anulomanip±tanattha½ hattha½ temetv± s²sa½ puńchitabba½, uŗh±bhitattarajasir±nampi allahatthena puńchitu½ vaµµati.
24. “Na, bhikkhave, ±d±se v± udakapatte v± mukhanimitta½ oloketabba½, yo olokeyya, ±patti dukkaµassa. Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, ±b±dhapaccay± ±d±se v± udakapatte v± mukhanimitta½ oloketun”ti (c³¼ava. 247) vacanato ±b±dha½ vin± ±d±se v± udakapatte v± mukha½ na oloketabba½. Ettha ca ka½sapatt±d²nipi yesu mukhanimitta½ pańń±yati, sabb±ni ±d±sasaŖkhameva gacchanti, kańjiy±d²nipi ca udakapattasaŖkhameva. Tasm± yattha katthaci olokentassa dukkaµa½. ¾b±dhapaccay± pana “sańchavi nu kho me vaŗo, ud±hu na t±v±”ti j±nanattha½ vaµµati, “jiŗŗo nu khomhi, no”ti eva½ ±yusaŖkh±ra½ olokanatthampi vaµµat²ti vutta½.
“Na, bhikkhave, mukha½ ±limpitabba½… na mukha½ ummadditabba½… na mukha½ cuŗŗetabba½… na manosilik±ya mukha½ lańchetabba½… na aŖgar±go k±tabbo… na mukhar±go k±tabbo… na aŖgar±gamukhar±go k±tabbo, yo kareyya, ±patti dukkaµassa Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, ±b±dhapaccay± mukha½ ±limpitun”ti (c³¼ava. 247) vacanato ±b±dha½ vin± mukhavilimpan±di na k±tabba½.
25. “Na, bhikkhave, nacca½ v± g²ta½ v± v±dita½ v± dassan±ya gantabba½, yo gaccheyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 248) vacanato nacc±di½ dassan±ya na gantabba½. Ettha (p±ci. aµµha. 835) ca naccanti naµ±dayo v± naccantu soŗ¹± v± antamaso moras³vamakkaµ±dayopi, sabbameta½ naccameva, tasm± antamaso moranaccampi dassan±ya gacchantassa dukkaµa½. Sayampi naccantassa v± nacc±pentassa v± dukkaµameva. “Pańcime, bhikkhave, ±d²nav± ±yatakena g²tassarena dhamma½ g±yantassa. Attan±pi tasmi½ sare s±rajjati, parepi tasmi½ sare s±rajjanti, gahapatik±pi ujjh±yanti, sarakuttimpi nik±mayam±nassa sam±dhissa bhaŖgo hoti, pacchim± janat± diµµh±nugati½ ±pajjati. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pańca ±d²nav± ±yatakena g²tassarena dhamma½ g±yantassa. Na, bhikkhave, ±yatakena g²tassarena dhammo g±yitabbo, yo g±yeyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 249)–

¾yatako (c³¼ava. aµµha. 249) n±ma g²tassaro ta½ ta½ vatta½ bhinditv± akkhar±ni vin±setv± pavatto. Dhamme pana suttantavatta½ n±ma atthi, j±takavatta½ n±ma atthi, g±th±vatta½ n±ma atthi, ta½ vin±setv± atid²gha½ k±tu½ na vaµµati, caturassena vattena parimaŗ¹al±ni padabyańjan±ni dassetabb±ni. “Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, sarabhańńan”ti (c³¼ava. 249) vacanato pana sarena dhamma½ bhaŗitu½ vaµµati. Sarabhańńe kira taraŖgavattadhotakavattagalitavatt±d²ni dvatti½sa vatt±ni atthi, tesu ya½ icchati, ta½ k±tu½ labhati. Sabbesa½ padabyańjana½ avin±setv± vik±ra½ akatv± samaŗas±ruppena caturassena nayena pavattana½yeva lakkhaŗa½.
V±dita½ n±ma tantibaddh±div±dan²yabhaŗ¹a½ v±dita½ v± hotu kuµabheriv±dita½ v± antamaso udakabheriv±ditampi, sabbameta½ na vaµµati. Ya½ pana niµµhubhanto v± s±saŖke v± µhito accharika½ v± phoµeti, p±ŗi½ v± paharati, tattha an±patti, sabba½ antar±r±me µhitassa passato an±patti, passiss±m²ti vih±rato vih±ra½ gacchantassa ±pattiyeva. ¾sanas±l±ya½ nisinno passati, an±patti. Passiss±m²ti uµµhahitv± gacchato ±patti, v²thiya½ µhatv± g²va½ parivattetv± passatopi ±pattiyeva. Sal±kabhatt±d²na½ v± atth±ya ańńena v± kenaci karaŗ²yena gantv± gataµµh±ne passati v± suŗ±ti v±, an±patti. ¾pad±su t±disena upaddavena upadduto samajjaµµh±na½ pavisati, eva½ pavisitv± passantassa suŗantassa v± an±patti. “Cetiyassa upah±ra½ detha up±sak±”ti vattumpi, “tumh±ka½ cetiyassa upah±ra½ karom±”ti vutte sampaµicchitumpi na labhati. “Tumh±ka½ cetiyassa upaµµh±na½ karom±”ti vutte pana “upaµµh±nakaraŗa½ n±ma sundaran”ti vattu½ vaµµati.
26. “Na, bhikkhave, attano aŖgaj±ta½ chetabba½, yo chindeyya, ±patti thullaccayass±”ti (c³¼ava. 251) vacanato aŖgaj±ta½ (c³¼ava. 251) chindantassa thullaccaya½, ańńa½ pana kaŗŗan±s±-aŖguli-±di½ ya½ kińci chindantassa t±disa½ v± dukkha½ upp±dentassa dukkaµa½. Ahik²µadaµµh±d²su pana ańń±b±dhapaccay± v± lohita½ v± mocentassa chindantassa v± an±patti.
27. “Na, bhikkhave, gih²na½ uttarimanussadhamma½ iddhip±µih±riya½ dassetabba½, yo dasseyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 252) vacanato gih²na½ vikubbaniddhi½ dassetu½ na vaµµati, adhiµµh±niddhi pana appaµikkhitt±.
28. “Na, bhikkhave, sovaŗŗamayo patto dh±retabbo…pe… na r³piyamayo…pe… na maŗimayo…pe… na ve¼uriyamayo…pe… na phalikamayo…pe… na ka½samayo…pe… na k±camayo…pe… na tipumayo …pe… na s²samayo…pe… na tambalohamayo patto dh±retabbo, yo dh±reyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 252) vacanato suvaŗŗamay±dipatto na vaµµati. Sacepi gih² bhattagge suvaŗŗataµµik±d²su byańjana½ katv± upan±menti, ±masitumpi na vaµµati. Phalikamayak±camayaka½samay±ni pana taµµik±d²ni bh±jan±ni puggalikaparibhogeneva na vaµµanti, saŖghikaparibhogena v± gihivikaµ±ni v± vaµµanti. Tambalohamayopi pattoyeva na vaµµati, th±laka½ pana vaµµati. “Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, dve patte ayopatta½ mattik±pattan”ti (c³¼ava. 252) dveyeva ca patt± anuńń±t±.
“Na, bhikkhave, tumbakaµ±he piŗ¹±ya caritabba½, yo careyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 255) vacanato l±bukaµ±ha½ pariharitu½ na vaµµati, ta½ labhitv± pana t±vak±lika½ paribhuńjitu½ vaµµati. Ghaµikaµ±hepi eseva nayo.
“Na bhikkhave, chavas²sapatto dh±retabbo, yo dh±reyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 255) vacanato chavas²samayopi patto na vaµµati.
“Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, patt±dh±rakan”ti (c³¼ava. 254) vacanato bh³mid±rudaŗ¹ava-alavett±d²hi kate bh³mi-±dh±rake d±rudaŗ¹a-±dh±rake ca patta½ µhapetu½ vaµµati. Ettha ca “bh³mi-±dh±rake tayo daŗ¹±dh±rake dve patte upar³pari µhapetu½ vaµµat²”ti kurundiya½ vutta½. Mah±-aµµhakath±ya½ pana vutta½ “bh³mi-±dh±rake tiŗŗa½ patt±na½ anok±so, dve µhapetu½ vaµµati. D±ru-±dh±rakadaŗ¹±dh±rakesupi susajjitesu eseva nayo. Bhamakoµisadiso pana d±ru-±dh±rako t²hi daŗ¹akehi baddho, daŗ¹±dh±rako ca ekassapi pattassa anok±so, tattha µhapetv±pi hatthena gahetv±va nis²ditabba½, bh³miya½ pana nikkujjitv± ekameva µhapetabban”ti.
