Na kevala½ (c³¼ava. aµµha. 299) itthipurisar³pameva, tiracch±nar³pampi antamaso gaŗ¹upp±dar³pa½ bhikkhuno saya½ k±tu½ v± “karoh²”ti vattu½ v± na vaµµati, “up±saka dv±rap±la½ karoh²”ti vattumpi na labhati. J±takapakaraŗa-asadisad±n±d²ni pana pas±dan²y±ni nibbid±paµisa½yutt±ni v± vatth³ni parehi k±r±petu½ labhati, m±l±kamm±d²ni sayampi k±tu½ labhati.
7. “Na, bhikkhave, vippakatabhojano bhikkhu vuµµh±petabbo, yo vuµµh±peyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 316) vacanato antaraghare (c³¼ava. aµµha. 316) v± vih±re v± arańńe v± yattha katthaci bhuńjam±no bhikkhu aniµµhite bhojane na vuµµh±petabbo, antaraghare pacch± ±gatena bhikkha½ gahetv± gantabba½. Sace pana ±patti½ atikkamitv±pi vuµµh±petiyeva, ya½ so vuµµh±peti, ayańca bhikkhu pav±rito hoti, tena vattabbo “gaccha udaka½ ±har±h²”ti. Vu¹¹hatara½ bhikkhu½ ±ŗ±petu½ idameva ekaµµh±na½. Sace so udakampi na ±harati, s±dhuka½ sitth±ni gilitv± vu¹¹hassa ±sana½ d±tabba½. Vuttampi ceta½–
“Sace vuµµh±peti, pav±rito ca hoti, ‘gaccha udaka½ ±har±’ti vattabbo. Evańceta½ labhetha, icceta½ kusala½. No ce labhetha, s±dhuka½ sitth±ni gilitv± vu¹¹hassa ±sana½ d±tabba½. Natvev±ha½, bhikkhave, ‘kenaci pariy±yena vu¹¹hatarassa bhikkhuno ±sana½ paµib±hitabban’ti vad±mi, yo paµib±heyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (c³¼ava. 316).
8. “Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, navakena bhikkhun± uddisantena samake v± ±sane nis²ditu½ uccatare v± dhammag±ravena, therena bhikkhun± uddis±pentena samake v± ±sane nis²ditu½ n²catare v± dhammag±raven±”ti (c³¼ava. 320) vacanato navakatarena bhikkhun± uddisantena uccatarepi ±sane nis²ditu½, vu¹¹hatarena bhikkhun± uddis±pentena n²catarepi ±sane nis²ditu½ vaµµati.
9. “Anuj±n±mi bhikkhave, tivassantarena saha nis²ditun”ti (c³¼ava. 320) vacanato tivassantarena bhikkhun± saddhi½ ek±sane nis²ditu½ vaµµati. Ya½ pana tiŗŗa½ pahoti, ta½ sa½h±rima½ v± hotu asa½h±rima½ v±, tath±r³pe api phalakakhaŗ¹e anupasampannenapi saddhi½ nis²ditu½ vaµµati. “Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, ya½ tiŗŗa½ pahoti, ettaka½ pacchima½ d²gh±sanan”ti (c³¼ava. 320) hi vutta½. “Anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, µhapetv± paŗ¹aka½ m±tug±ma½ ubhatobyańjanaka½ asam±n±sanikehi saha d²gh±sane nis²ditun”ti (c³¼ava. 320) vacanato pana d²gh±sanepi paŗ¹ak±d²hi saha nis²ditu½ na vaµµati.
11. Gil±na½ upaµµhahantena “natthi vo, bhikkhave, m±t±, natthi pit±, ye vo upaµµhaheyyu½, tumhe ce, bhikkhave, ańńamańńa½ na upaµµhahissatha, atha ko carahi upaµµhahissati. Yo, bhikkhave, ma½ upaµµhaheyya, so gil±na½ upaµµhaheyy±”ti (mah±va. 365) ima½ bhagavato anus±sani½ anussarantena sakkacca½ upaµµh±tabbo.

Sace sam±nupajjh±yako hoti, sam±nupajjh±yakena y±vaj²va½ upaµµh±tabbo, vuµµh±namassa ±gametabba½. Sace sam±n±cariyako hoti, sam±n±cariyakena y±vaj²va½ upaµµh±tabbo, vuµµh±namassa ±gametabba½. Sace na hoti upajjh±yo v± ±cariyo v± saddhivih±riko v± antev±siko v± sam±nupajjh±yako v± sam±n±cariyako v±, saŖghena upaµµh±tabbo. No ce upaµµhaheyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (mah±va. 365)–

Vacanato yassa (mah±va. aµµha. 365) te upajjh±y±dayo tasmi½ vih±re natthi, ±gantuko hoti ekac±rikabhikkhu, saŖghassa bh±ro, tasm± saŖghena upaµµh±tabbo. No ce upaµµhaheyya, sakalassa saŖghassa ±patti. V±ra½ µhapetv± jaggantesu pana yo attano v±re na jaggati, tasseva ±patti, saŖghattheropi v±rato na muccati. Sace sakalo saŖgho ekassa bh±ra½ karoti, eko v± vattasampanno bhikkhu “ahameva jaggiss±m²”ti jaggati, saŖgho ±pattito muccati.

Maraŗavaŗŗepi sa½vaŗŗite so t±ya sa½vaŗŗan±ya kańci upakkama½ akatv± attano dhammat±ya yath±yun± yath±nusandhin±va marati, tappaccay± sa½vaŗŗako ±pattiy± na k±retabbo.
13. “Na ca, bhikkhave, att±na½ p±tetabba½, yo p±teyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (p±r±. 183) vacanato gil±nena (p±r±. aµµha. 2.182-183) bhikkhun±pi yena kenaci upakkamena antamaso ±h±rupacchedanenapi att± na m±retabbo. Yopi gil±no vijjam±ne bhesajje ca upaµµh±kesu ca marituk±mo ±h±ra½ upacchindati, dukkaµameva. Yassa pana mah±-±b±dho cir±nubandho, bhikkh³ upaµµhahant± kilamanti jigucchanti, “kad± nu kho gil±nato mucciss±m±”ti aµµ²yanti. Sace so “aya½ attabh±vo paµijaggiyam±nopi na tiµµhati, bhikkh³ ca kilamant²”ti ±h±ra½ upacchindati, bhesajja½ na sevati, vaµµati. Yo pana “aya½ rogo kharo, ±yusaŖkh±r± na tiµµhanti, ayańca me vises±dhigamo hatthappatto viya dissat²”ti upacchindati, vaµµatiyeva. Agil±nassapi uppannasa½vegassa “±h±rapariyesana½ n±ma papańco, kammaµµh±nameva anuyuńjiss±m²”ti kammaµµh±nas²sena upacchindantassa vaµµati. Vises±dhigama½ by±karitv± ±h±ra½ upacchindati, na vaµµati. Sabh±g±nańhi lajj²bhikkh³na½ kathetu½ vaµµati.
14. “Na ca, bhikkhave, appaµivekkhitv± ±sane nis²ditabba½, yo nis²deyya, ±patti dukkaµass±”ti (p±r±. 180) vacanato ±sana½ anupaparikkhitv± na nis²ditabba½. K²disa½ (p±r±. aµµha. 2.180) pana ±sana½ upaparikkhitabba½, k²disa½ na upaparikkhitabba½? Ya½ suddha½ ±sanameva hoti apaccattharaŗaka½, yańca ±gantv± µhit±na½ passata½yeva atthar²yati, ta½ na paccavekkhitabba½, nis²ditu½ vaµµati. Ya½ pana paµikacceva p±v±rakojav±d²hi atthata½ hoti, ta½ hatthena par±masitv± sallakkhetv± nis²ditabba½. Mah±paccariya½ pana “ghanas±µakenapi atthate yasmi½ vali na pańń±yati, ta½ na paµivekkhitabban”ti vutta½.
