Atha punapi “bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti vadati, “na d±ni tva½, ±vuso, bah³ bhikkh³ lacchasi, tayo eva, ±vuso, lacchas²”ti vattabbo. “Nanu, bhante, amukasmiñca amukasmiñca g±me sakala½ bhikkhusaªgha½ bhojesu½, aha½ kasm± na labh±m²”ti. “Tva½ nimantitu½ na j±n±s²”ti. Sace ±sanas±l±ya bhatta½ µhapetv± rathik±su ±hiº¹ant± ±rocenti “±sanas±l±ya½, bhante, bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti, na vaµµati. Atha pana “bhatta½ ±d±ya tattha tattha gantv± bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti vadanti, paµikacceva v± vih±ra½ atiharitv± patir³pe µh±ne µhapetv± ±gat±gat±na½ denti, aya½ abhihaµabhikkh± n±ma vaµµati. Sace pana bhattas±l±ya d±na½ sajjetv± ta½ ta½ pariveºa½ pahiºanti “bhattas±l±ya bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti, vaµµati. Ye pana manuss± piº¹ac±rike bhikkh³ disv± ±sanas±la½ sammajjitv± tattha nis²d±petv± bhojenti, na te paµikkhipitabb±. Ye pana g±me bhikkha½ alabhitv± g±mato nikkhamante bhikkh³ disv± “bhante, bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti vadanti, te paµikkhipitabb±, na nivattitabba½. Sace “nivattatha, bhante, bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti vadanti, “nivattath±”ti vuttapade nivattitu½ vaµµati. “Nivattatha, bhante, ghare bhatta½ kata½, g±me bhatta½ katan”ti vadanti, gehe ca g±me ca bhatta½ n±ma yassa kassaci hoti, nivattitu½ vaµµati. “Nivattatha bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti sambandha½ katv± vadanti, nivattitu½ na vaµµati. ¾sanas±l±to piº¹±ya caritu½ nikkhamante disv± “nis²datha, bhante, bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti vuttepi eseva nayo.
“Aññatra samay±”ti vacanato gil±nasamayo c²varad±nasamayo c²varak±rasamayo addh±nagamanasamayo n±v±bhiruhanasamayo mah±samayo samaºabhattasamayoti etesu sattasu samayesu aññatarasmi½ an±patti. Tasm± yath± mah±cammassa parato ma½sa½ dissati, eva½ antamaso p±d±pi ph±lit± honti, v±lik±ya v± sakkhar±ya v± pahaµamatte dukkha½ upp±denti, na sakk± ca hoti antog±me piº¹±ya caritu½, ²dise gelaññe gil±nasamayoti bhuñjitabba½, na lesakappiya½ k±tabba½.
C²varad±nasamayo n±ma anatthate kathine vass±nassa pacchimo m±so, atthate kathine pañcam±s±. Etthantare “c²varad±nasamayo”ti bhuñjitabba½. C²vare kariyam±ne c²varak±rasamayoti bhuñjitabba½. Yad± hi s±µakañca suttañca labhitv± c²vara½ karonti, aya½ c²varak±rasamayo n±ma, visu½ c²varak±rasamayo n±ma natthi, tasm± yo tattha c²vare kattabba½ ya½ kiñci kamma½ karoti, mah±paccariyañhi “antamaso s³civedhako”tipi vutta½. Tena “c²varak±rasamayo”ti bhuñjitabba½. Kurundiya½ pana vitth±reneva vutta½ “yo c²vara½ vic±reti chindati, moghasuttaka½ µhapeti, ±gantukapatta½ µhapeti, pacc±gata½ sibbeti, ±gantukapatta½ bandhati, anuv±ta½ chindati ghaµeti ±ropeti, tattha pacc±gata½ sibbeti, sutta½ karoti valeti, pipphalika½ niseti, parivattana½ karoti, sabbopi c²vara½ karotiyev±ti vuccati. Yo pana sam²pe nisinno j±taka½ v± dhammapada½ v± katheti, aya½ na c²varak±rako, eta½ µhapetv± ses±na½ gaºabhojane an±patt²”ti.
Addh±nagamanasamaye antamaso a¹¹hayojana½ gantuk±menapi “a¹¹hayojana½ gacchiss±m²”ti bhuñjitabba½, gacchantena bhuñjitabba½, gatena ekadivasa½ bhuñjitabba½.
N±v±bhiruhanasamaye “n±va½ abhiruhiss±m²”ti bhuñjitabba½, ±ru¼hena icchitaµµh±na½ gantv±pi y±va na orohati, t±va bhuñjitabba½, oru¼hena ekadivasa½ bhuñjitabba½.
Mah±samayo n±ma yattha dve tayo bhikkh³ piº¹±ya caritv± y±penti, antamaso catutthepi ±gate na y±penti, aya½ mah±samayo. Yattha pana sata½ v± sahassa½ v± sannipatanti, tattha vattabbameva natthi, tasm± t±dise k±le “mah±samayo”ti adhiµµhahitv± bhuñjitabba½.
Samaºabhattasamayo n±ma yo koci paribb±jakasam±panno bhatta½ karoti, aya½ samaºabhattasamayova. Tasm± sahadhammikesu v± titthiyesu v± aññatarena yena kenaci kate bhatte “samaºabhattasamayo”ti bhuñjitabba½. “An±patti samaye, dve tayo ekato bhuñjanti, piº¹±ya caritv± ekato sannipatitv± bhuñjanti, niccabhatta½, sal±kabhatta½, pakkhika½, uposathika½, p±µipadika½, pañca bhojan±ni µhapetv± sabbattha an±patt²”ti (p±ci. 220) vacanato yepi akappiyanimantana½ s±diyitv± dve v± tayo v± ekato gahetv± bhuñjanti, tesampi an±patti.
Tattha animantitacatuttha½ piº¹ap±tikacatuttha½ anupasampannacatuttha½ pattacatuttha½ gil±nacatutthanti pañcanna½ catutth±na½ vasena vinicchayo veditabbo. Katha½? Idhekacco catt±ro bhikkh³ “bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti nimanteti. Tesu tayo gat±, eko na gato. Up±sako “eko, bhante, thero kuhin”ti pucchati. N±gato up±sak±ti. So añña½ ta½khaºappatta½ kañci “ehi, bhante”ti ghara½ pavesetv± catunnampi bhatta½ deti sabbesa½ an±patti. Kasm±? Gaºap³rakassa animantitatt±. Tayo eva hi tattha nimantit± gaºhi½su, tehi gaºo na p³rati, gaºap³rako ca animantito, tena gaºo bhijjat²ti. Eta½ animantitacatuttha½.
Piº¹ap±tikacatutthe nimantanak±le eko piº¹ap±tiko hoti, so n±dhiv±seti, gamanavel±ya½ pana “ehi bhante”ti vutte anadhiv±sitatt± an±gacchantampi “etha bhikkha½ lacchath±”ti gahetv± gacchanti, so ta½ gaºa½ bhindati, tasm± sabbesa½ an±patti.
Anupasampannacatutthe s±maºerena saddhi½ nimantit± honti, sopi gaºa½ bhindati.
Pattacatutthe eko saya½ ±gantv± patta½ peseti, evampi gaºo bhijjati, tasm± sabbesa½ an±patti.
Gil±nacatutthe gil±nena saddhi½ nimantit± honti, tattha gil±nasseva an±patti, itaresa½ pana gaºap³rako hoti. Na hi gil±nena gaºo bhijjati, tasm± tesa½ ±patti. Mah±paccariya½ pana avisesena vutta½ “samayaladdhako sayameva muccati, ses±na½ gaºap³rakatt± ±pattikaro hot²”ti. Tasm± c²varad±nasamayaladdhak±d²nampi vasena catukk±ni veditabb±ni.
Sace pana adhiv±setv± gatesupi cat³su janesu eko paº¹ito bhikkhu “aha½ tumh±ka½ gaºa½ bhindiss±mi, nimantana½ s±diyath±”ti vatv± y±gukhajjak±vas±ne bhattatth±ya patta½ gaºhant±na½ adatv± “ime t±va bhikkh³ bhojetv± vissajjetha, aha½ pacch± anumodana½ katv± gamiss±m²”ti nisinno, tesu bhutv± gatesu “detha, bhante, pattan”ti up±sakena patta½ gahetv± bhatte dinne bhuñjitv± anumodana½ katv± gacchati, sabbesa½ an±patti. Pañcannañhi bhojan±na½yeva vasena gaºabhojane visaªketa½ natthi, odanena nimantetv± kumm±sa½ gaºhant±pi ±pajjanti, t±ni ca tehi ekato na gahit±ni, y±gu-±d²hi pana visaªketa½ hoti, t±ni tehi ekato gahit±n²ti eva½ eko paº¹ito aññesampi an±patti½ karoti. Niccabhattanti dhuvabhatta½ vuccati, “niccabhatta½ gaºhath±”ti vadanti, bah³na½ ekato gahetu½ vaµµati. Sal±kabhatt±d²supi eseva nayo.
2. “Paramparabhojane aññatra samay± p±cittiyan”ti (p±ci. 222-223, 225) vutta½ paramparabhojana½ pana nimantanatoyeva pasavati. Yo hi “pañcanna½ bhojan±na½ aññatarena bhojanena bhatta½ gaºhath±”ti-±din± nimantito ta½ µhapetv± añña½ pañcanna½ bhojan±na½ aññatarabhojana½ bhuñjati, tasseta½ bhojana½ “paramparabhojanan”ti vuccati.
