72. Pathav²ti dve pathav² j±t± ca pathav² aj±t± ca pathav²ti. Tattha j±t± n±mapathav² suddhapa½suk± suddhamattik± appap±s±ŗ± appasakkhar± appakaµhal± appamarumb±appav±luk± yebhuyyenapa½suk± yebhuyyenamattik±, ada¹¹h±pi vuccati “j±t±pathav²”ti. Yopi pa½supuńjo v± mattik±puńjo v± atirekac±tum±sa½ ovaµµho,sopi vuccati “j±t± pathav²”ti. Aj±t± n±ma pathav² suddhap±s±ŗ± suddhasakkhar±suddhakaµhal± suddhamarumb± suddhav±luk± appapa½suk± appamattik± yebhuyyenap±s±ŗ±yebhuyyenasakkhar± yebhuyyenakaµhal± yebhuyyenamarumb± yebhuyyenav±luk±, da¹¹h±pivuccati “aj±t± pathav²”ti. Tattha j±tapathavi½ khaŗantassa khaŗ±pentassa v± p±cittiya½. Tatr±ya½ vinicchayo (p±ci.aµµha. 86)– sace saya½ khaŗati, pah±re pah±re p±cittiya½. Sace ańńa½±ŗ±peti, saki½ ±ŗatto sacepi sakaladivasa½ khaŗati, ±ŗ±pakassa ekameva p±cittiya½.Sace pana kus²to hoti, punappuna½ ±ŗ±petabbo, ta½ ±ŗ±petv± khaŗ±pentassa v±c±yav±c±ya p±cittiya½. Sace “pokkharaŗi½ khaŗ±h²”ti vadati, vaµµati. Khat±yeva hi pokkharaŗ²n±ma hoti. Tasm± aya½ kappiyavoh±ro. Esa nayo “v±pi½ ta¼±ka½ ±v±µa½ khaŗ±”ti-±d²supi.“Ima½ ok±sa½ khaŗa, imasmi½ ok±se pokkharaŗi½ khaŗ±”ti vattu½ pana na vaµµati.“Kanda½ khaŗa, m³la½ khaŗ±”ti aniyametv± vattu½ vaµµati, “ima½ valli½ khaŗa, imasmi½ok±se kanda½ v± m³la½ v± khaŗ±”ti vattu½ na vaµµati.

Pokkharaŗi½ sodhentehi yo kuµehi ussińcitu½ sakk± hoti tanukakaddamo,ta½ apanetu½ vaµµati, bahalo na vaµµati. ¾tapena sukkhakaddamo phalati, tatra yo heµµh± pathaviy±asambandho, tameva apanetu½ vaµµati. Udakena gataµµh±ne udakapappaµako n±ma hoti, v±tapah±renacalati, ta½ apanetu½ vaµµati. Pokkharaŗ²-±d²na½ taµa½ bhijjitv± udakas±mant± patati.Sace omakac±tum±sa½ ovaµµha½, chinditu½ bhinditu½ v± vaµµati, c±tum±sato uddha½ navaµµati. Sace pana udakeyeva patati, devena atirekac±tum±sa½ ovaµµhepi udakeyevaudakassa patitatt± vaµµati.
P±s±ŗapiµµhiya½ soŗ¹i½ khaŗanti, sace tattha paµhamameva sukhumaraja½ patati, ta½ devena ovaµµha½hoti, c±tum±saccayena akappiyapathav²saŖkhya½ gacchati. Udake pariy±dinne soŗ¹i½ sodhentehivikopetu½ na vaµµati. Sace paµhamameva udakena p³rati, pacch± raja½ patati, ta½ vikopetu½vaµµati. Tattha hi deve vassantepi udakeyeva udaka½ patati. Piµµhip±s±ŗe sukhumaraja½hoti, deve phus±yante all²yati, tampi c±tum±saccayena vikopetu½ na vaµµati.Akatapabbh±re vammiko uµµhito hoti, yath±sukha½ vikopetu½ vaµµati. Sace abbhok±seuµµhahati, omakac±tum±sa½ ovaµµhoyeva vaµµati. Rukkh±d²su ±ru¼ha-upacikamattik±yampieseva nayo. Gaŗ¹upp±dag³tham³sikukkaragokaŗµak±d²supi eseva nayo. Pur±ŗasen±sana½ hoti acchadana½ v± vinaµµhacchadana½ v± atirekac±tum±sa½ ovaµµha½j±tapathav²saŖkhyameva gacchati, tato avasesa½ chadaniµµhaka½ v± gop±nas²-±dika½ upakaraŗa½v± “iµµhaka½ gaŗh±mi, gop±nasi½ bhittip±da½ padarattharaŗa½ p±s±datthambha½ gaŗh±m²”tisańń±ya gaŗhitu½ vaµµati, tena saddhi½ mattik± patati, an±patti, bhittimattika½gaŗhantassa pana ±patti. Sace y± y± atint±, ta½ ta½ gaŗh±ti, an±patti. Antogehemattik±puńjo hoti, tasmi½ ekadivasa½ ovaµµhe geha½ ch±denti. Sace sabbo tinto,c±tum±saccayena j±tapathav²yeva. Athassa uparibh±goyeva tinto, anto atinto, yattaka½tinta½, ta½ kappiyak±rakehi kappiyavoh±rena apan±metv± sesa½ yath±sukha½ va¼ańjetu½vaµµati udakena temitatt±. Ek±baddh±yeva hi j±tapathav² hoti, na itar±ti. Abbhok±semattik±p±k±ro hoti, atirekac±tum±sa½ ovaµµho j±tapathav²saŖkhya½ gacchati, tattha laggapa½su½pana allahatthena chupitv± gahetu½ vaµµati. Sace iµµhakap±k±ro hoti, yebhuyyenakaµhalaµµh±netiµµhati, yath±sukha½ vikopetu½ vaµµati. Abbhok±se µhitamaŗ¹apatthambha½ ito citoca sańc±letv± pathavi½ vikopentena gahetu½ na vaµµati, ujukameva uddharitu½ vaµµati.Ańńampi sukkharukkha½ sukkhakh±ŗuka½ v± gaŗhantassa eseva nayo.
74. Navakammattha½ thambha½ v± p±s±ŗa½ v± rukkha½ v± daŗ¹akehi ucc±letv± pavaµµent±gacchanti tattha j±tapathav² bhijjati, sace suddhacitt± pavaµµenti, an±patti. Atha panatena apadesena pathavi½ bhindituk±m±yeva honti, ±patti. S±kh±d²ni ka¹¹hant±nampipathaviya½ d±r³ni ph±lent±nampi eseva nayo. Pathaviya½ aµµhis³cikaŗµak±d²supi ya½kińci ±koµetu½ v± pavesetu½ v± na vaµµati, “pass±vadh±r±ya vegena pathavi½ bhindiss±m²”tieva½ pass±vampi k±tu½ na vaµµati. Karontassa bhijjati, ±patti, “visamabh³mi½ sama½kariss±m²”ti sammajjaniy± gha½situmpi na vaµµati. Yo pana aj±nanako bhikkhu araŗisahitena aggi½ nibbattetv± hatthena ukkhipitv± “ki½karom²”ti vadati, “j±leh²”ti vattabbo. “Hattho ¹ayhat²”ti vadati, “yath±na ¹ayhati, tath± karoh²”ti vattabbo. “Bh³miya½ p±teh²”ti pana na vattabbo.Sace hatthe ¹ayham±ne p±teti, “pathavi½ dahiss±m²”ti ap±titatt± an±patti, patitaµµh±nepana aggi½ k±tu½ vaµµati. “Imassa thambhassa ±v±µa½ j±na, mah±mattika½ j±na, thusamattika½j±na, mah±mattika½ dehi, thusamattika½ dehi, mattika½ ±hara, pa½su½ ±hara,mattik±ya attho, pa½sun± attho imassa thambhassa ±v±µa½ kappiya½ karohi, ima½ mattika½kappiya½ karohi, ima½ pa½su½ kappiya½ karoh²”ti eva½ kappiyavoh±rena ya½ kińcik±r±petu½ vaµµati.
