S± pana eva½ k±tabb±, ekasmi½ vih±re sannipatitehi bhikkh³hi ya½ vih±ra½ saªgaºhituk±m± sam±nal±bha½ k±tu½ icchanti, tassa n±ma½ gahetv± “asuko n±ma vih±ro por±ºako appal±bho”ti ya½ kiñci k±raºa½ vatv± “ta½ vih±ra½ imin± vih±rena saddhi½ ekal±bha½ k±tu½ saªghassa ruccat²”ti tikkhattu½ s±vetabba½, ett±vat± tasmi½ vih±re nisinnopi idha nisinnova hoti, tasmi½ vih±repi evameva k±tabba½, ett±vat± idha nisinnopi tasmi½ nisinnova hoti. Ekasmi½ vih±re l±bhe bh±jiyam±ne itarasmi½ µhitassa bh±ga½ gahetu½ vaµµati.
Bhikkh±paññattiy±ti ettha bhikkh±paññatti n±ma d±yakassa paricc±gapaññattiµµh±na½, tasm± “yattha mayha½ dhuvak±r± kar²yanti, tattha damm²”ti v± “tattha deth±”ti v± vutte yattha tassa p±kavatta½ v± vattati, yato v± bhikkh³ nicca½ bhojeti, yattha v± tena kiñci sen±sana½ kata½, sabbattha dinnameva hoti. Sace pana ekasmi½ dhuvak±raµµh±ne thokatar± bhikkh³ honti, ekameva v± vattha½ hoti, m±tika½ ±ropetv± yath± so vadati, tath± gahetabba½.
Saªghassa det²ti ettha vih±ra½ pavisitv± “saªghassa damm²”ti dinna½ upac±ras²m±gat±nañca tato bahiddh±pi tehi saddhi½ ek±baddh±nañca p±puº±ti, tasm± tesa½ g±hake sati asampatt±nampi bh±go d±tabbo. Ya½ pana bahi upac±ras²m±ya bhikkh³ disv± “saªghass±”ti d²yati, ta½ ek±baddhaparis±ya p±puº±ti. Ye pana dv±dasahi hatthehi parisa½ asampatt±, tesa½ na p±puº±ti.
Ubhatosaªghass±ti ettha pana ya½ ubhatosaªghassa dinna½, tato upa¹¹ha½ bhikkh³na½, upa¹¹ha½ bhikkhun²na½ d±tabba½. Sacepi eko bhikkhu hoti, ek± v± bhikkhun², antamaso anupasampannass±pi upa¹¹hameva d±tabba½. “Ubhatosaªghassa ca tuyhañc±”ti vutte pana sace dasa bhikkh³ ca dasa bhikkhuniyo ca honti, ekav²sati paµiv²se katv± eko puggalassa d±tabbo, dasa bhikkhusaªghassa, dasa bhikkhunisaªghassa ca, yena puggaliko laddho, so saªghatopi attano vassaggena gahetu½ labhati, kasm±? Ubhatosaªghaggahaºena gahitatt±, “ubhatosaªghassa ca cetiyassa c±”ti vuttepi eseva nayo. Idha pana cetiyassa saªghato p±puºakoµµh±so n±ma natthi, ekapuggalassa pattakoµµh±sasamo eko koµµh±so hoti. “Bhikkhusaªghassa ca bhikkhun²nañc±”ti vutte pana na majjhe bhinditv± d±tabba½, bhikkh³ ca bhikkhuniyo ca gaºetv± d±tabba½. “Bhikkhusaªghassa ca bhikkhun²nañca tuyhañc±”ti vutte puggalo visu½ na labhati, p±puºakoµµh±sato ekameva labhati “Cetiyassa c±”ti vutte pana cetiyassa eko puggalapaµiv²so labbhati. “Bhikkh³nañca bhikkhun²nañc±”ti vuttepi na majjhe bhinditv± d±tabba½, puggalagaºan±ya eva vibhajitabba½, tehi saddhi½ puggalacetiyapar±masana½ anantaranayasadisameva, yath± ca bhikkhusaªgha½ ±di½ katv± nayo n²to, eva½ bhikkhunisaªgha½ ±di½ katv±pi netabbo. “Bhikkhusaªghassa ca tuyhañc±”ti vuttepi puggalassa visu½ na labbhati cetiyassa pana labbhati. “Bhikkh³nañca tuyhañc±”ti vuttepi visu½ na labbhati, cetiyassa pana labbhatiyeva.
Vassa½vuµµhasaªghass±ti ettha sace vih±ra½ pavisitv± “vassa½vuµµhasaªghassa damm²”ti vadati, ye tattha vassaccheda½ akatv± purimavassa½vuµµh±, tesa½ bahi s²maµµh±nampi p±puº±ti, na aññesa½. Sace pana bahi-upac±ras²m±ya½ µhito “vassa½vuµµhasaªghass±”ti vadati, yatthakatthaci vuµµhavass±na½ sabbesa½ sampatt±na½ p±puº±ti. Atha “asukavih±re vassa½vuµµhass±”ti vadati, tattha vassa½vuµµh±na½yeva y±va kathinassubbh±r± p±puº±ti. Gimh±na½ paµhamadivasato paµµh±ya eva½ vadati, tatra sammukh²bh³t±na½ sabbesa½ p±puº±ti, na aññesa½.

Puggalassa det²ti “ida½ c²vara½ itthann±massa damm²”ti eva½ parammukh± v±, p±dam³le µhapetv± “ida½ tumh±kan”ti eva½ sammukh± v± det²ti ayamettha saªkhepakath±, vitth±ro pana samantap±s±dik±ya½ vutto. Tato ce uttar²ti m±saparamato ce uttari nikkhipeyya, nissaggiyanti attho. Yadi panassa m³lac²vara½ saºha½ hoti, pacc±s±c²vara½ th³la½ hoti, na sakk± yojetu½, rattiyo ca ses± honti, na t±va m±so p³rati, na ak±m± c²vara½ k±retabba½, añña½ pacc±s±c²vara½ labhitv± eva k±labbhantare k±retabba½. Sace na labhati, pacc±s±c²varampi parikkh±raco¼a½ adhiµµh±tabba½. Atha m³lac²vara½ th³la½ hoti, pacc±s±c²vara½ saºha½, m³lac²vara½ parikkh±raco¼a½ adhiµµhahitv± pacc±s±c²varameva m³lac²vara½ katv± µhapetabba½, ta½ puna m±saparih±ra½ labhati, etenup±yena y±va na lacchati, t±va añña½ m³lac²vara½ katv± µhapetu½ labbhati.
