Eva½ chahi g±th±hi p±picchat±disamann±gatassa niray³pagabh±vadassanena dukkhato aparimutti½dassetv± id±ni tappaµipakkhadhammasamann±gatassa dukkhakkhaya½ dassento “t±disa½ mittan”tios±nag±tham±ha. “Devadatte hi av²cimah±niraya½ paviµµhe devadattapakkhik± ańńatitthiy± ‘samaŗena gotamenaabhisapito devadatto pathavi½ paviµµho’ti abbh±cikkhi½su. Ta½ sutv± s±sane anabhippasann±manuss± ‘siy± nu kho etadeva½, yath± ime bhaŗant²’ti ±saŖka½ upp±desu½. Ta½ pavatti½bhikkh³ bhagavato ±rocesu½. Atha kho bhagav± ‘na, bhikkhave, tath±gat± kassaci abhisapa½denti, tasm± na devadatto may± abhisapito, attano kammeneva niraya½ paviµµho’ti vatv±tesa½ micch±g±ha½ paµisedhento im±ya aµµhuppattiy± ida½ sutta½ abh±s²”ti–

Vutta½, tasm± tesa½ matena tassa niray³papattito pacch±pi bhagav± ida½ suttamabh±s²tiveditabba½. Idha pana tassa niray³papattito paµhamameva uppanne vatthumhi bh±sita½ p±¼i-±ru¼hantidaµµhabba½. Teneva “av²ciniraya½ patto”ti ida½ pana ±sa½s±ya½ at²tavacananti vutta½,±sa½s±ti cettha avassambh±vin² atthasiddhi adhippet±. Avassambh±vinińhi atthasiddhimapekkhitv±an±gatampi bh³ta½ viya voharanti, tańca saddalakkhaŗ±nus±rena veditabba½.
