Yad± r±jagahe uµµh±nakabhaŗ¹a½ samaggha½ hoti, tad± r±jagahaseµµhi ta½ gahetv± sakaµasatehis±vatthi½ gantv± yojanamatte µhito attano ±gatabh±va½ j±n±peti. An±thapiŗ¹ikopaccuggantv± tassa mah±sakk±ra½ katv± eka½ y±na½ ±ropetv± s±vatthi½ pavisati.So sace bhaŗ¹a½ lahuka½ vikk²yati, vikkiŗ±ti. No ce, bhaginighare µhapetv± pakkamati.An±thapiŗ¹ikopi tatheva karoti. Sv±ya½ tad±pi teneva karaŗ²yena agam±si. Ta½sandh±yeta½ vutta½.
Ta½ divasa½ pana r±jagahaseµµhi yojanamatte µhitena an±thapiŗ¹ikena ±gatabh±vaj±nanattha½ pesita½paŗŗa½ na suŗi, dhammassavanatth±ya vih±ra½ agam±si. So dhammakatha½ sutv± sv±tan±ya buddhappamukha½bhikkhusaŖgha½ nimantetv± attano ghare uddhanakhaŗ±panad±ruph±lan±d²ni k±resi. An±thapiŗ¹ikopi“id±ni mayha½ paccuggamana½ karissati, id±ni karissat²”ti gharadv±repi paccuggamana½alabhitv± antoghara½ paviµµho paµisanth±rampi na bahu½ alattha. “Ki½ mah±seµµhi kusala½d±rakar³p±na½, nasi magge kilanto”ti ettakova paµisanth±ro ahosi. Tena vutta½“atha kho an±thapiŗ¹ikassa gahapatissa etadahos²”ti-±di.
Buddhoti tva½ gahapati vades²ti tassa kira mukhato buddhasadda½ sutv± an±thapiŗ¹iko pańcavaŗŗa½p²ti½ paµilabhati, s± tassa s²se uµµhahitv± y±va p±dapiµµhiy±, p±dapiµµhiy± uµµh±ya y±vas²s± gacchati, ubhato uµµh±ya majjhe osarati, majjhe uµµh±ya ubhato gacchati. So p²tiy±nirantara½ phuµo “buddhoti tva½ gahapati vades²”ti eva½ tikkhattu½ pucchi. Ak±lokho, gahapati, ima½ k±la½ ta½ bhagavanta½ dassan±ya upasaŖkamitunti “buddh±n±ma dur±sad± ±s²visasadis± honti, satth± ca sivathik±ya sam²pe vasati, na sakk±tattha im±ya vel±ya imin± gantun”ti mańńam±no evam±ha. Buddhagat±ya satiy± nipajj²tiańńa½ kińci acintetv± buddhagat±ya eva satiy± nipajji. Ta½ divasa½ kirassa bhaŗ¹asakaµesuv± upaµµh±kesu v± cittampi nuppajji, s±yam±sampi na ak±si. Sattabh³mika½ panap±s±da½ ±ruyha supańńatt±laŖkatavarasayane “buddho buddho”ti sajjh±ya½ karontova nipajjitv±nidda½ okkami. Tikkhattu½ vuµµh±si pabh±ta½ mańńam±noti paµhamay±me t±va v²tivatteuµµh±ya buddha½ anussari, athassa balavappas±do udap±di, p²ti-±loko ahosi, sabbatama½vigacchi, d²pasahassujjalana½ viya canduµµh±nas³riyuµµh±na½ viya ca j±ta½. Devat±hi katotipi vadanti, purimoyevetthayuttataro. Ehi sudatt±ti so kira seµµhi gaccham±nova cintesi “imasmi½ lokebah³ p³raŗakassap±dayo titthiy± ‘maya½ buddh±, maya½ buddh±’ti vadanti, katha½ nu khoaha½ satthu buddhabh±va½ j±neyyan”ti. Athassa etadahosi “mayha½ guŗavasena uppanna½ n±ma½mah±jano j±n±ti, kuladattiya½ pana me n±ma½ ańńatra may± na koci j±n±ti, sace buddhobhavissati, kuladattikan±mena ma½ ±lapissat²”ti. Satth± tassa citta½ ńatv± evam±ha.
Parinibbutoti kilesaparinibb±nena parinibbuto. ¾sattiyoti r³p±d²su ±sańjanaµµhena±sattiyo, taŗh±yo. Santinti kilesav³pasama½. Pappuyy±ti aggamaggena patv±.Sesamettha p±¼i-anus±reneva veditabba½. Yańcettha anutt±namattha½, ta½ aµµhakath±ya½ vuttameva.
