341. Tena kho pana samayena bhagav± gijjhak³µassa pabbatassa ch±y±ya½ caªkamati. Atha kho devadatto gijjhak³µa½ pabbata½ ±ruhitv± mahati½ sila½ pavijjhi– im±ya samaºa½ gotama½ j²vit± voropess±m²ti. Dve pabbatak³µ± sam±gantv± ta½ sila½ sampaµicchi½su. Tato papatik± uppatitv± bhagavato p±de ruhira½ upp±desi. Atha kho bhagav± uddha½ ulloketv± devadatta½ etadavoca– “bahu½ tay±, moghapurisa, apuñña½ pasuta½, ya½ tva½ duµµhacitto vadhakacitto tath±gatassa ruhira½ upp±des²”ti.
