339. Atha kho devadatto yena aj±tasattu kum±ro tenupasaªkami, upasaªkamitv± aj±tasattu½ kum±ra½ etadavoca– “pubbe kho, kum±ra, manuss± d²gh±yuk±, etarahi app±yuk±. Ýh±na½ kho paneta½ vijjati ya½ tva½ kum±rova sam±no k±la½ kareyy±si. Tena hi tva½, kum±ra, pitara½ hantv± r±j± hohi. Aha½ bhagavanta½ hantv± buddho bhaviss±m²”ti.
