Atha kho r±jagahako seµµh² d±se ca kammak±re [kammakare (s². sy±.)] ca ±º±pesi– “tena hi, bhaºe, k±lasseva uµµh±ya y±guyo pacatha, bhatt±ni pacatha, s³p±ni samp±detha, uttaribhaªg±ni samp±deth±”ti. Atha kho an±thapiº¹ikassa gahapatissa etadahosi– “pubbe khv±ya½ gahapati mayi ±gate sabbakicc±ni nikkhipitv± mamaññeva saddhi½ paµisammodati. Ekamanta½ nisinna½ kho r±jagahaka½ seµµhi½ an±thapiº¹iko gahapati etadavoca– “pubbe kho tva½, gahapati, mayi ±gate sabbakicc±ni nikkhipitv± mamaññeva saddhi½ paµisammodasi. Sod±ni tva½ vikkhittar³po d±se ca kammak±re ca ±º±pesi– ‘tena hi, bhaºe, k±lasseva uµµh±ya y±guyo pacatha, bhatt±ni pacatha, s³p±ni samp±detha, uttaribhaªg±ni samp±deth±’ti. Atha kho an±thapiº¹ikassa gahapatissa nagaramh± nikkhantassa ±loko antaradh±yi, andhak±ro p±turahosi, bhaya½ chambhitatta½ lomaha½so udap±di; tatova puna nivattituk±mo ahosi. Atha kho sivako [s²vako (s². sy±.)] yakkho antarahito saddamanuss±vesi–
“Sata½ hatth² sata½ ass±, sata½ assatar²rath±;
sata½ kaññ±sahass±ni, ±mukkamaºikuº¹al±;
