Cetiye chatta½ v± vedika½ v± bodhighara½ v± ±sanaghara½ v± akata½ v± karontena jiººa½ v± paµisaªkharontena sudh±kamma½ v± karontena manusse sam±dapetv± k±tu½ vaµµati. Sace k±rako natthi, cetiyassa upanikkhepato k±retabba½. Upanikkhepepi asati apalokanakamma½ katv± tatrupp±dato k±retabba½, saªghikenapi. Saªghikena hi apaloketv± cetiyakicca½ k±tu½ vaµµati. Cetiyassa santakena apaloketv±pi saªghikakicca½ k±tu½ na vaµµati. T±vak±lika½ pana gahetv± p±katika½ k±tu½ vaµµati.
Cetiye sudh±kamm±d²ni karontehi pana bhikkh±c±rato v± saªghato v± y±panamatta½ alabhantehi cetiyasantakato y±panamatta½ gahetv± paribhuñjantehi vatta½ k±tu½ vaµµati, “vatta½ karom±”ti macchama½s±d²hi saªghabhatta½ k±tu½ na vaµµati. Ye vih±re ropit± phalarukkh± saªghena pariggahit± honti, jagganakamma½ labhanti, yesa½ phal±ni ghaºµi½ paharitv± bh±jetv± paribhuñjanti, tesu apalokanakamma½ na k±tabba½. Ye pana apariggahit±, tesu apalokanakamma½ k±tabba½. Ta½ pana sal±kaggay±gaggabhattagga-antarasannip±tesupi k±tu½ vaµµati, uposathagge pana vaµµatiyeva. Tattha hi an±gat±nampi chandap±risuddhi ±hariyati, tasm± ta½ suvisodhita½ hoti.

Cat³hi pañcahi bhikkh³hi kata½ sukatameva. Yasmi½ vih±re dve tayo jan± vasanti, tehi nis²ditv± katampi saªghena katasadisameva. Yasmi½ pana vih±re eko bhikkhu hoti, tena bhikkhun± uposathadivase pubbakaraºapubbakicca½ katv± nisinnena katampi katikavatta½ saªghena katasadisameva hoti.
Karontena pana phalav±rena k±tumpi catt±ro m±se cha m±se ekasa½vaccharanti eva½ paricchinditv±pi aparicchinditv±pi k±tu½ vaµµati. Paricchinne yath±pariccheda½ paribhuñjitv± puna k±tabba½. Aparicchinne y±va rukkh± dharanti t±va vaµµatiyeva. Yepi tesa½ rukkh±na½ b²jehi aññe rukkh± ropit± honti, tesampi s± eva katik±.

Por±ºavih±ra½ gatassa sambh±van²yabhikkhuno “thero ±gato”ti phal±phala½ ±haranti, sace tattha m³le sabbapariyattidharo bahussutabhikkhu vih±si, “addh± ettha d²gh± katik± kat± bhavissat²”ti nikkukkuccena paribhuñjitabba½. Vih±re phal±phala½ piº¹ap±tik±nampi vaµµati, dhutaªga½ na kopeti. S±maºer± attano ±cariyupajjh±y±na½ bah³ni phal±ni denti, aññe bhikkh³ alabhant± khiyyanti, khiyyanamattameva ceta½ hoti.

Saªghassa phal±r±mo hoti, paµijaggana½ na labhati, sace ta½ koci vattas²sena jaggati, saªghasseva hoti. Ath±pi kassaci paµibalassa bhikkhuno “ima½ sappurisa jaggitv± deh²”ti saªgho bh±ra½ karoti, so ce vattas²sena jaggati, evampi saªghasseva hoti. Ph±tikamma½ pacc±s²santassa pana tatiyabh±gena v± upa¹¹habh±gena v± ph±tikamma½ k±tabba½. “Bh±riya½ kamman”ti vatv± ettakena anicchanto pana sabba½ taveva santaka½ katv± “m³labh±ga½ dasabh±gamatta½ datv± jagg±h²”tipi vattabbo. “Suºantu me ±yasmant±, aya½ itthann±mo bhikkhu dhammakathiko imassa neva sutta½ ±gacchati, no suttavibhaªgo, so attha½ asallakkhetv± byañjanacch±y±ya attha½ paµib±hati. Yad±yasmant±na½ pattakalla½, itthann±ma½ bhikkhu½ vuµµh±petv± avases± ima½ adhikaraºa½ v³pasameyy±m±”ti eva½ ubb±hik±vinicchaye dhammakathikassa bhikkhuno niss±raº± niss±raº± n±ma.

“Suº±tu me bhante saªgho, ajja pav±raº± pannaras². Yadi saªghassa pattakalla½, saªgho pav±reyy±”ti eva½ pav±raº±kammavasena µhapit± ñatti pav±raº± n±ma.
“Suº±tu me bhante saªgho, itthann±mo itthann±massa ±yasmato upasampad±pekkho.
