Vin²tavatth³n²ti t±sa½ ±patt²na½ vinayapucch±; “vin²ta½ vinayo v³pasamo”ti idańhi atthato eka½, vin²t±niyeva vin²tavatth³n²ti ayamettha padattho. Buddhe ag±rav±d²su yo buddhe dharam±ne upaµµh±na½ na gacchati, parinibbute cetiyaµµh±na½ bodhiµµh±na½ na gacchati, cetiya½ v± bodhi½ v± na vandati, cetiyaŖgaŗe sachatto sa-up±hano carati, natthetassa buddhe g±ravoti veditabbo. Yo pana sakkontoyeva dhammassavana½ na gacchati, sarabhańńa½ na bhaŗati, dhammakatha½ na katheti, dhammassavanagga½ bhinditv± gacchati, vikkhitto v± an±daro v± nis²dati, natthetassa dhamme g±ravo. Yo theranavamajjhimesu citt²k±ra½ na paccupaµµh±peti, uposath±g±ravitakkam±¼ak±d²su k±yapp±gabbhiya½ dasseti, yath±vu¹¹ha½ na vandati, natthetassa saŖghe g±ravo. Tisso sikkh± sam±d±ya asikkham±noyeva pana sikkh±ya ag±ravoti veditabbo. Pam±de ca sativippav±se tiµµham±noyeva appam±dalakkhaŗa½ abr³hayam±no appam±de ag±ravoti veditabbo. Tath± ±misappaµisanth±ra½ dhammappaµisanth±ranti ima½ duvidha½ paµisanth±ra½ akarontoyeva paµisanth±re ag±ravoti veditabbo. G±ravaniddese vuttavipariy±yena attho veditabbo.
272. Viv±dam³laniddese “sattharipi ag±ravo”ti-±d²na½ buddhe ag±rav±d²su vuttanayeneva attho veditabbo. Appatissoti an²cavutti; na satth±ra½ jeµµhaka½ katv± viharati. Ajjhatta½ v±ti attano sant±ne v± attano pakkhe v±; sak±ya paris±y±ti attho. Bahiddh± v±ti parasant±ne v± parapakkhe v±. Tatra tumheti tasmi½ ajjhattabahiddh±bhede saparasant±ne v± saparaparis±ya v±. Pah±n±ya v±yameyy±th±ti mett±bh±van±d²hi nayehi pah±nattha½ v±yameyy±tha; mett±bh±van±dinayena hi ta½ ajjhattampi bahiddh±pi pah²yati. Anavassav±y±ti appavattibh±v±ya.
Sandiµµhipar±m±s²ti sakameva diµµhi½ par±masati; ya½ attan± diµµhigata½ gahita½, idameva saccanti gaŗh±ti ¾dh±nagg±h²ti da¼hagg±h².
273. Anuv±dam³laniddeso kińc±pi viv±dam³laniddeseneva sam±no, atha kho aµµh±rasa bhedakaravatth³ni niss±ya vivadant±na½ kodh³pan±h±dayo viv±dam³l±ni. Tath± vivadant± pana s²lavipatti-±d²su ańńataravipatti½ ±pajjitv± “asuko bhikkhu asuka½ n±ma vipatti½ ±panno”ti v±, “p±r±jika½ ±pannosi, saŖgh±disesa½ ±pannos²”ti v± anuvadanti. Eva½ anuvadant±na½ kodh³pan±h±dayo anuv±dam³l±n²ti ayamettha viseso.
274. S±raŗ²yadhammaniddese mettacittena kata½ k±yakamma½ metta½ k±yakamma½ n±ma. ¾vi ceva raho c±ti sammukh± ca parammukh± ca. Tattha navak±na½ c²varakamm±d²su sah±yabh±vagamana½ sammukh± metta½ k±yakamma½ n±ma. Ther±na½ pana p±dadhovanab²janav±tad±n±dibhedampi sabba½ s±m²cikamma½ sammukh± metta½ k±yakamma½ n±ma. Ubhayehipi dunnikkhitt±na½ d±rubhaŗ¹±d²na½ tesu avamańńa½ akatv± attan± dunnikkhitt±na½ viya paµis±mana½ parammukh± metta½ k±yakamma½ n±ma. Ayampi dhammo s±raŗ²yoti aya½ mett±k±yakammasaŖkh±to dhammo saritabbo satijanako; yo na½ karoti, ta½ puggala½; yesa½ kato hoti, te pasannacitt± “aho sappuriso”ti anussarant²ti adhipp±yo. Piyakaraŗoti ta½ puggala½ sabrahmac±r²na½ piya½ karoti. Garukaraŗoti ta½ puggala½ sabrahmac±r²na½ garu½ karoti. SaŖgah±y±ti-±d²su sabrahmac±r²hi saŖgahetabbabh±v±ya. Tehi saddhi½ aviv±d±ya samaggabh±v±ya ek²bh±v±ya ca sa½vattati.
Metta½ vac²kammanti-±d²su devatthero tissattheroti eva½ paggayha vacana½ sammukh± metta½ vac²kamma½ n±ma. Vih±re asante pana ta½ paµipucchantassa “kuhi½ amh±ka½ devatthero, kuhi½ amh±ka½ tissatthero, kad± nu kho ±gamissat²”ti eva½ mam±yanavacana½ parammukh± metta½ vac²kamma½ n±ma. Mett±sinehasiniddh±ni pana nayan±ni umm²letv± pasannena mukhena olokana½ sammukh± metta½ manokamma½ n±ma. “Devatthero tissatthero arogo hotu, app±b±dho”ti samann±haraŗa½ parammukh± metta½ manokamma½ n±ma.
Appaµivibhattabhog²ti neva ±misa½ paµivibhajitv± bhuńjati, na puggala½. Yo hi “ettaka½ paresa½ dass±mi, ettaka½ attan± bhuńjiss±mi, ettaka½ v± asukassa ca asukassa ca dass±mi, ettaka½ attan± bhuńjiss±m²”ti vibhajitv± bhuńjati, aya½ paµivibhattabhog² n±ma. Aya½ pana eva½ akatv± ±bhata½ piŗ¹ap±ta½ ther±sanato paµµh±ya datv± gahit±vasesa½ bhuńjati. “S²lavanteh²”ti vacanato duss²lassa ad±tumpi vaµµati, s±raŗ²yadhammap³rakena pana sabbesa½ d±tabbamev±ti vutta½. Gil±na-gil±nupaµµh±ka-±gantuka-gamikac²varakamm±dipasut±na½ viceyya d±tumpi vaµµati. Na hi ete vicinitv± dentena puggalavibh±go kato hoti, ²dis±nańhi kicchal±bhatt± viseso k±tabboyev±ti aya½ karoti.
Akhaŗ¹±n²ti-±d²su yassa sattasu ±pattikkhandhesu ±dimhi v± ante v± sikkh±pada½ bhinna½ hoti, tassa s²la½ pariyante chinnas±µako viya khaŗ¹a½ n±ma. Yassa pana vemajjhe bhinna½, tassa majjhe chiddas±µako viya chidda½ n±ma hoti. Yassa paµip±µiy± dve t²ŗi bhinn±ni, tassa piµµhiya½ v± kucchiya½ v± uµµhitena visabh±gavaŗŗena k±¼aratt±d²na½ ańńatarasar²ravaŗŗ± g±v² viya sabala½ n±ma hoti. Yassa antarantar± bhinn±ni, tassa antarantar± visabh±gavaŗŗabinduvicitr± g±v² viya kamm±sa½ n±ma hoti. Yassa pana sabbena sabba½ abhinn±ni s²l±ni, tassa t±ni s²l±ni akhaŗ¹±ni acchidd±ni asabal±ni akamm±s±ni n±ma honti. T±ni panet±ni bhujissabh±vakaraŗato bhujiss±ni.
