Tattha appaµicchannam±natta½ n±ma– ya½ appaµicchann±ya ±pattiy± pariv±sa½ adatv± kevala½ ±patti½ ±pannabh±veneva m±natt±rahassa m±natta½ diyyati. Paµicchannam±natta½ n±ma– ya½ paµicchann±ya ±pattiy± parivutthapariv±sassa diyyati. Pakkham±natta½ n±ma– ya½ paµicchann±ya v± appaµicchann±ya v± ±pattiy± addham±sa½ bhikkhun²na½ diyyati. Samodh±nam±natta½ n±ma– ya½ odh±ya ekato katv± diyyati. Tesu ida½ “appaµicchann±ya ch±ratta½ m±nattan”ti vacanato “appaµicchannam±nattan”ti veditabba½. Ta½ dentena sace eka½ ±patti½ ±panno hoti, idha vuttanayena d±tabba½. Sace dve v± tisso v± tatuttari½ v± ±panno, yatheva “eka½ ±pattin”ti vutta½; eva½ “dve ±pattiyo, tisso ±pattiyo”ti vattabba½. Tatuttari pana sacepi sata½ v± sahassa½ v± hoti, “sambahul±”ti vattabba½. N±n±vatthuk±yopi ekato katv± d±tabb±, t±sa½ d±navidhi½ pariv±sad±ne kathayiss±ma.
Eva½ ±pattivasena kammav±ca½ katv± dinne m±natte “evameta½ dh±ray±m²”ti kammav±c±pariyos±ne m±¼akas²m±yameva “m±natta½ sam±diy±mi, vatta½ sam±diy±m²”ti vuttanayena vatta½ sam±d±tabba½. Vatta½ sam±diyitv± tattheva saŖghassa ±rocetabba½, ±rocentena ca eva½ ±rocetabba½–
“Aha½ bhante, eka½ ±patti½ ±pajji½ sańcetanika½ sukkavissaµµhi½ appaµicchanna½, soha½ saŖgha½ ekiss± ±pattiy± sańcetanik±ya sukkavissaµµhiy± appaµicchann±ya ch±ratta½ m±natta½ y±ci½, tassa me saŖgho ekiss± ±pattiy± sańcetanik±ya sukkavissaµµhiy± appaµicchann±ya ch±ratta½ m±natta½ ad±si. Soha½ m±natta½ car±mi, veday±maha½, bhante ‘vedayat²’ti ma½ saŖgho dh±ret³”ti.
Imańca pana attha½ gahetv± y±ya k±yaci bh±s±ya ±rocetu½ vaµµatiyeva. ¾rocetv± sace nikkhipituk±mo, vuttanayeneva saŖghamajjhe nikkhipitabba½. M±¼akato bhikkh³su nikkhantesu ekassapi santike nikkhipitu½ vaµµati. M±¼akato nikkhamitv± sati½ paµilabhantena sahagacchantassa santike nikkhipitabba½. Sace sopi pakkanto, ańńassa yassa m±¼ake n±rocita½, tassa ±rocetv± nikkhipitabba½. ¾rocentena pana avas±ne “vedayat²ti ma½ ±yasm± dh±ret³”ti vattabba½. Dvinna½ ±rocentena “±yasmant± dh±rent³”ti, tiŗŗa½ ±rocentena “±yasmanto dh±rent³”ti vattabba½. Nikkhittak±lato paµµh±ya pakatattaµµh±ne tiµµhati.
Sace appabhikkhuko vih±ro hoti, sabh±g± bhikkh³ vasanti, vatta½ anikkhipitv± antovih±reyeva rattiyo gaŗetabb±. Atha na sakk± sodhetu½, vuttanayeneva vatta½ nikkhipitv± pacc³sasamaye cat³hi pańcahi v± bhikkh³hi saddhi½ parikkhittassa vih±rassa parikkhepato, aparikkhittassa parikkhep±rahaµµh±nato dve le¹¹up±te atikkamitv± mah±maggato okkamma gumbena v± vatiy± v± paµicchannaµµh±ne nis²ditabba½. Anto-aruŗeyeva vuttanayena vatta½ sam±diyitv± ±rocetabba½. Sace ańńo koci bhikkhu kenacideva karaŗ²yena ta½ µh±na½ ±gacchati, sace esa ta½ passati, sadda½ v±ssa suŗ±ti, ±rocetabba½. An±rocentassa ratticchedo ceva vattabhedo ca.
Atha dv±dasahattha½ upac±ra½ okkamitv± aj±nantasseva gacchati, ratticchedo hoti eva, vattabhedo pana natthi. ¾rocitak±lato paµµh±ya ca eka½ bhikkhu½ µhapetv± sesehi sati karaŗ²ye gantumpi vaµµati. Aruŗe uµµhite tassa bhikkhussa santike vatta½ nikkhipitabba½. Sace sopi kenaci kammena pure-aruŗeyeva gacchati, ańńa½ vih±rato nikkhanta½ v± ±gantuka½ v± ya½ paµhama½ passati, tassa santike ±rocetv± vatta½ nikkhipitabba½. Ayańca yasm± gaŗassa ±rocetv± bhikkh³nańca atthibh±va½ sallakkhetv±va vasi, tenassa ³ne gaŗe caraŗadoso v± vippav±so v± na hoti. Sace na kańci passati, vih±ra½ gantv± attan± saddhi½ gatabhikkh³su ekassa santike nikkhipitabbanti mah±sumatthero ±ha. Mah±padumatthero pana “ya½ paµhama½ passati, tassa ±rocetv± nikkhipitabba½; aya½ nikkhittavattassa parih±ro”ti ±ha.
Eva½ ch±ratta½ m±natta½ akhaŗ¹a½ caritv± yattha siy± v²satigaŗo bhikkhusaŖgho, tattha so bhikkhu abbhetabbo. Abbhentehi ca paµhama½ abbh±n±raho k±tabbo. Ayańhi nikkhittavattatt± pakatattaµµh±ne µhito, pakatattassa ca abbh±na½ k±tu½ na vaµµati, tasm± vatta½ sam±d±petabbo. Vatte sam±dinne abbh±n±raho hoti. Ten±pi vatta½ sam±diyitv± ±rocetv± abbh±na½ y±citabba½. Anikkhittavattassa puna vattasam±d±nakicca½ natthi. So hi ch±ratt±tikkameneva abbh±n±raho hoti, tasm± so abbhetabbo. Tatra yv±ya½ “evańca pana, bhikkhave, abbhetabbo”ti p±¼iya½yeva abbh±navidhi vutto, ayańca ek±pattivasena vutto. Sace pana dve tisso sambahul± v± ekavatthuk± v± n±n±vatthuk± v± ±pattiyo honti, t±sa½ vasena kammav±c± k±tabb±. Eva½ appaµicchannam±natta½ d±tabba½. Paµicchannam±natta½ pana yasm± paµicchann±ya ±pattiy± parivutthapariv±sassa d±tabba½ hoti, tasm± na½ pariv±sakath±ya½yeva kathayiss±ma.
