Pacch± ±gat±nampi ek±baddhavasena d³re µhit±nampi uddesabhatte vuttanayeneva d±tabb±.
Sace vih±rassa samantato bah³ gocarag±m±, bhikkh³ pana na bahuk±, g±mavasenapi sal±k±yo p±puŗanti, “tumh±ka½ asukag±me sal±kabhatta½ p±puŗ±t²”ti g±mavaseneva g±hetabb±. Eva½ g±hentena sacepi ekekasmi½ g±me n±nappak±r±ni saµµhisal±kabhatt±ni, sabb±ni g±hit±neva honti, tassa pattag±masam²pe ańń±nipi dve t²ŗi sal±kabhatt±ni honti, t±nipi tasseva d±tabb±ni. Na hi sakk± tesa½ k±raŗ± ańńa½ bhikkhu½ pahiŗitunti.
Sace ekaccesu g±mesu bah³ni sal±kabhatt±ni sallakkhetv± sattannampi aµµhannampi bhikkh³na½ d±tabb±ni. Dadantena pana catunna½ pańcanna½ bhatt±na½ sal±k±yo ekato bandhitv± d±tabb±. Sace ta½ g±ma½ atikkamitv± ańńo g±mo hoti, tasmińca ekameva sal±kabhatta½, ta½ pana p±tova denti, tampi etesu bhikkh³su ekassa niggahena datv± “p±tova ta½ gahetv± pacch± orimag±me itar±ni bhatt±ni gaŗh±h²”ti vattabbo. Sace orimag±me sal±kabhattesu ag±hitesveva g±hitasańń±ya gacchati, parabh±gag±me sal±kabhatta½ g±hetv± puna vih±ra½ ±gantv± itar±ni g±hetv± orimag±mo gantabbo. “Na hi bahis²m±ya saŖghal±bho g±hetu½ labbhat²”ti aya½ nayo kurundiya½ vutto.
Sace pana bhikkh³ bah³ honti, g±mavasena sal±k± na p±puŗanti, v²thivasena v± v²thiya½ ekagehavasena v± kulavasena v± g±hetabb±. V²thi-±d²su ca yattha bah³ni bhatt±ni, tattha g±me vuttanayeneva bah³na½ bhikkh³na½ g±hetabb±ni. Sal±k±su asati uddisitv±pi g±hetabb±ni.
Sal±kad±yakena pana vatta½ j±nitabba½. Tena hi k±lasseva vuµµh±ya pattac²vara½ gahetv± bhojanas±la½ gantv± asammaµµhaµµh±na½ sammajjitv± p±n²ya½ paribhojan²ya½ upaµµh±petv± “id±ni bhikkh³hi vatta½ kata½ bhavissat²”ti k±la½ sallakkhetv± ghaŗµi½ paharitv± bhikkh³su sannipatitesu paµhamameva v±rag±me sal±kabhatta½ g±hetabba½. “Tuyha½ asukasmi½ n±ma v±rag±me sal±k± p±puŗ±ti tatra gacch±”ti vattabba½.
Sace atirekag±vute g±mo hoti, ta½ divasa½ gacchant± kilamanti, “sve tuyha½ v±rag±me p±puŗ±t²”ti ajjeva g±hetabba½. Yo v±rag±ma½ pesiyam±no na gacchati, ańńa½ sal±ka½ maggati, na d±tabb±. Saddh±nańhi manuss±na½ puńńah±ni saŖghassa ca l±bhacchedo hoti, tasm± tassa dutiyepi tatiyepi divase ańń± sal±k± na d±tabb±, “attano pattaµµh±na½ gantv± bhuńj±h²”ti vattabbo, t²ŗi pana divas±ni agacchantassa v±rag±mato orimav±rag±me sal±k± g±hetabb±. Tańce na gaŗh±ti, tato paµµh±ya tassa ańńa½ sal±ka½ d±tu½ na vaµµati, daŗ¹akamma½ pana g±¼ha½ k±tabba½, saµµhito v± paŗŗ±sato v± na parih±petabba½. V±rag±me g±hetv± vih±rav±ro g±hetabbo, “tuyha½ vih±rav±ro p±puŗ±t²”ti vattabba½. Vih±rav±rikassa dve tisso y±gusal±k±yo tisso catasso v± bhattasal±k±yo ca d±tabb±, nibaddha½ katv± pana na d±tabb±. Y±gubhattad±yak± hi “amh±ka½ y±gubhatta½ vih±ragopak±va bhuńjant²”ti ańńathatta½ ±pajjeyyu½, tasm± ańńesu kulesu d±tabb±.
Sace vih±rav±rik±na½ sabh±g± ±haritv± denti, icceta½ kusala½; no ce, v±ra½ g±hetv± tesa½ y±gubhatta½ ±har±petabba½. T±va nesa½ sal±k± ph±tikammameva bhavanti, vassaggena pattaµµh±ne pana ańńampi paŗ²tabhattasal±ka½ gaŗhitu½ labhantiyeva. Atireka-uttaribhaŖgassa ekac±rikabhattassa visu½ µhitika½ katv± sal±k± d±tabb±.
Sace yena sal±k± laddh±, so ta½divasa½ ta½ bhatta½ na labhati, punadivase g±hetabba½. Bhattameva labhati, na uttaribhaŖga½; evampi puna g±hetabba½. Kh²rabhattassa sal±k±yapi eseva nayo. Sace pana kh²rameva labhati, na bhatta½; kh²ral±bhato paµµh±ya puna na g±hetabba½. Dve t²ŗi ekac±rikabhatt±ni ekasseva p±puŗanti, dubbhikkhasamaye saŖghanavakena laddhak±le vijaµetv± visu½ g±hetabb±ni, p±katikasal±kabhatta½ aladdhass±pi punadivase g±hetabba½.
Sace khuddako vih±ro hoti, sabbe bhikkh³ ekasambhog±, ucchusal±ka½ g±hentena yassa kassaci sammukh²bh³tassa p±petv± mah±ther±d²na½ div± tacchetv± d±tu½ vaµµati. Sace antar±va upacchijjati, µhitik± sallakkhetabb±. Yadi pana t±disa½ bhatta½ nibaddhameva hoti, yassa p±puŗ±ti, so vattabbo “laddh± v± aladdh± v± svepi gaŗheyy±s²”ti. Eka½ anibaddha½ hoti, labhanadivase pana y±vadattha½ labhati, alabhanadivas± bahutar± honti, ta½ yassa p±puŗ±ti, so alabhitv± “sve gaŗheyy±s²”ti vattabbo.
Yo sal±k±su g±hit±su pacch± ±gacchati, tassa atikkant±va sal±k± na upaµµh±petv± d±tabb±. Sal±ka½ n±ma ghaŗµippaharaŗato paµµh±ya ±gantv± hattha½ pas±rentova labhati. Ańńassa ±gantv± sam²pe µhitass±pi atikkant± atikkant±va hoti. Sace panassa ańńo gaŗhanto atthi, saya½ an±gatopi labhati. Sabh±gaµµh±ne asuko an±gatoti ńatv± “aya½ tassa sal±k±”ti µhapetu½ vaµµati. Sace “an±gatassa na d±tabb±”ti katika½ karonti, adhammik± hoti. Anto-upac±re µhitassa hi bh±jan²yabhaŗ¹a½ p±puŗ±ti. Chappańcasal±k± naµµh± honti, bhattuddesako d±yak±na½ n±ma½ nassarati, so ce naµµhasal±k± mah±therassa v± attano v± p±petv± bhikkh³ vadeyya, “may± asukag±me sal±kabhatta½ mayha½ p±pita½, tumhe tattha laddha½ sal±kabhatta½ bhuńjeyy±th±”ti, vaµµati. Vih±re ap±pita½ pana ±sanas±l±ya ta½ bhatta½ labhitv± tattheva p±petv± bhuńjitu½ na vaµµati. “Ajja paµµh±ya mayha½ sal±kabhatta½ gaŗhath±”ti vutte tatra ±sanas±l±ya g±hetu½ na vaµµati, vih±ra½ ±netv± g±hetabba½. “Sve paµµh±y±”ti vutte pana bhattuddesakassa ±cikkhitabba½ “sve paµµh±ya asukakula½ n±ma sal±kabhatta½ deti, sal±kagg±haŗak±le sareyy±s²”ti. Dubbhikkhe sal±kabhatta½ pacchinditv± subhikkhe j±te kińci disv± “ajja paµµh±ya amh±ka½ sal±kabhatta½ gaŗhath±”ti puna paµµhapenti, antog±me ag±hetv± vih±ra½ ±netv±va g±hetabba½. Idańhi “sal±kabhatta½” n±ma. Uddesabhattasadisa½ na hoti, vih±rameva sandh±ya diyyati, tasm± bahi-upac±re g±hetu½ na vaµµati. “Sve paµµh±y±”ti vutte pana vih±re g±hetabbameva.
Gamiko bhikkhu ya½ dis±bh±ga½ gantuk±mo, tattha ańńena v±rag±masal±k± laddh± hoti, ta½ gahetv± itara½ bhikkhu½ “mayha½ pattasal±ka½ tva½ gaŗh±h²”ti vatv± gantu½ vaµµati. Tena pana upac±ras²ma½ anatikkanteyeva tasmi½ tassa sal±k± g±hetabb±.
Cha¹¹itavih±re manuss± bodhicetiy±d²ni jaggitv± bhuńjant³ti sal±kabhatta½ paµµhapenti, bhikkh³ sakaµµh±nesu vasitv± k±lasseva gantv± tattha vatta½ karitv± ta½ bhatta½ bhuńjanti, vaµµati. Sace tesu sv±tan±ya attano p±petv± gatesu ±gantuko bhikkhu cha¹¹itavih±re vasitv± k±lasseva vatta½ katv± ghaŗµi½ paharitv± sal±kabhatta½ attano p±petv± ±sanas±la½ gacchati, sova tassa bhattassa issaro. Yo pana bhikkh³su vatta½ karontesuyeva bh³miya½ dve tayo sammuńjanippah±re datv± ghaŗµi½ paharitv± “dhurag±me sal±kabhatta½ mayha½ p±puŗ±t²”ti gacchati, tassa ta½ corik±ya gahitatt± na p±puŗ±ti, vatta½ katv± p±petv± pacch± gatabhikkh³na½yeva hoti.
Eko g±mo atid³re hoti, bhikkh³ nicca½ gantu½ na icchanti, manuss± “maya½ puńńena parib±hir± hom±”ti vadanti, ye tassa g±massa ±sannavih±re sabh±gabhikkh³, te vattabb± “imesa½ bhikkh³na½ an±gatadivase tumhe bhuńjath±”ti. Sal±k± pana devasika½ p±petabb±, t± ca kho pana ghaŗµippaharaŗamattena v± pacchic±lanamattena v± p±pit± na honti, pacchi½ pana gahetv± sal±k± p²µhake ±kiritabb±, pacchi pana mukhavaµµiya½ na gahetabb±. Sace hi tattha ahi v± vicchiko v± bhaveyya, dukkha½ upp±deyya; tasm± heµµh± gahetv± pacchi½ parammukha½ katv± sal±k± ±kiritabb± “sacepi sappo bhavissati, ettova pal±yissat²”ti. Eva½ sal±k± ±kiritv± g±m±divasena pubbe vuttanayeneva g±hetabb±. Apica eka½ mah±therassa p±petv± “avases± mayha½ p±puŗant²”ti attano p±petv± vatta½ katv± cetiya½ vanditv± vitakkam±¼ake µhitehi bhikkh³hi “p±pit±, ±vuso, sal±k±”ti vutte “±ma, bhante, tumhe gatagatag±me sal±kabhatta½ gaŗhath±”ti vattabba½; eva½ p±pit±pi hi sup±pit±va honti.
Bhikkh³ sabbaratti½ dhammasavanattha½ ańńa½ vih±ra½ gacchant± “maya½ tattha d±na½ aggahetv±va amh±ka½ gocarag±meva piŗ¹±ya caritv± ±gamiss±m±”ti sal±k± aggahetv±va gat±, vih±re therassa pattasal±kabhatta½ bhuńjitu½ ±gacchanti, vaµµati. Atha mah±theropi “aha½ idha ki½ karom²”ti tehiyeva saddhi½ gacchati, tehi gatavih±re abhuńjitv±va gocarag±ma½ anuppattehi “detha, bhante, patte sal±kay±gu-±d²ni ±hariss±m±”ti vutte patt± na d±tabb±. “Kasm±, bhante, na deth±”ti “vih±raµµhaka½ bhatta½ vih±re vutth±na½ p±puŗ±ti, maya½ ańńasmi½ vih±re vutth±”ti. “Detha, bhante, na maya½ vih±re p±lik±ya dema, tumh±ka½ dema, gaŗhatha amh±ka½ bhikkhan”ti vutte pana vaµµati.
