Bhikkhu½ yakkho gaºh±ti, aya½ amanussantar±yo. Byaggh±dayo caº¹amig± ±gacchanti, aya½ v±¼antar±yo. Bhikkhu½ sapp±dayo ¹a½santi, aya½ sar²sapantar±yo. Bhikkhu gil±no v± hoti, k±la½ v± karoti, verino v± ta½ m±retuk±m± gaºhanti, aya½ j²vitantar±yo. Manuss± eka½ v± bah³ v± bhikkh³ brahmacariy± c±vetuk±m± gaºhanti, aya½ brahmacariyantar±yo. Ettha ca dutiy±d²su uddesesu yasmi½ apariyosite antar±yo hoti, sopi suteneva s±vetabbo.
Anajjhiµµh±ti an±ºatt± ay±cit± v±. Ajjhesan± cettha saªghena sammatadhammajjhesak±yatt± v± saªghatther±yatt± v±, tasmi½ dhammajjhesake asati saªghatthera½ ±pucchitv± v± tena y±cito v± bh±situ½ labhati. Saªghattheren±pi sace vih±re bah³ dhammakathik± honti, v±rapaµip±µiy± vattabb±– “tva½ dhamma½ bhaºa, dhamma½ kathehi, dhammad±na½ deh²”ti v± vuttena t²hipi vidh²hi dhammo bh±sitabbo. “Os±reh²”ti vutto pana os±retumeva labhati, “katheh²”ti vutto kathetumeva, “sarabhañña½ bhaº±h²”ti vutto sarabhaññameva. Saªghattheropi ca uccatare ±sane nisinno y±citu½ na labhati. Sace upajjh±yo ceva saddhivih±riko ca honti, upajjh±yo ca na½ ucc±sane nisinno “bhaº±h²”ti vadati, sajjh±ya½ adhiµµhahitv± bhaºitabba½. Sace panettha dahar± bhikkh³ honti, tesa½ “bhaº±m²”ti bhaºitabba½.
Sace vih±re saªghatthero attanoyeva nissitake bhaº±peti, aññe madhurabh±ºakepi n±jjhesati, so aññehi vattabbo– “bhante asuka½ n±ma bhaº±pem±”ti. Sace “bhaº±peth±”ti v± vadati, tuºh² v± hoti, bhaº±petu½ vaµµati. Sace pana paµib±hati, na bhaº±petabba½. Yadi an±gateyeva saªghatthere dhammasavana½ ±raddha½, puna ±gate µhapetv± ±pucchanakicca½ natthi. Os±retv± pana kathentena ±pucchitv± v± aµµhapetv±yeva v± kathetabba½, kathentassa puna ±gatepi eseva nayo.
Upanisinnakath±yapi saªghattherova s±m², tasm± tena saya½ v± kathetabba½, añño v± bhikkhu “katheh²”ti vattabbo, no ca kho uccatare ±sane nisinnena. Manuss±na½ pana “bhaº±h²”ti vattu½ vaµµati. Manuss± attano j±nanakabhikkhu½ ±pucchanti, tena thera½ ±pucchitv± kathetabba½. Sace saªghatthero “bhante ime pañha½ pucchant²”ti puµµho “katheh²”ti v± bhaºati, tuºh² v± hoti, kathetu½ vaµµati. Antaraghare anumodan±d²supi eseva nayo. Sace saªghatthero vih±re v± antaraghare v± “ma½ an±pucchitv±pi katheyy±s²”ti anuj±n±ti, laddhakappiya½ hoti, sabbattha vattu½ vaµµati.
Sajjh±ya½ karonten±pi thero ±pucchitabboyeva. Eka½ ±pucchitv± sajjh±yantassa aparo ±gacchati, puna ±pucchanakicca½ natthi. Sace vissamiss±m²ti µhapitassa ±gacchati, puna ±rabhanten±pi ±pucchitabba½. Saªghatthere an±gateyeva ±raddha½ sajjh±yantass±pi eseva nayo. Ekena saªghattherena “ma½ an±pucch±pi yath±sukha½ sajjh±y±h²”ti anuññ±te yath±sukha½ sajjh±yitu½ vaµµati. Aññasmi½ pana ±gate ta½ ±pucchitv±va sajjh±yitabba½.
151. Attan± v± att±na½ sammannitabba½ti attan± v± att± sammannitabbo; pucchantena pana parisa½ oloketv± sace attano upaddavo natthi, vinayo pucchitabbo.
153. Katepi ok±se puggala½ tulayitv±ti “atthi nu kho me ito upaddavo, natth²”ti eva½ upaparikkhitv±. Puramh±kanti paµhama½ amh±ka½. Paµikaccev±ti paµhamatarameva. Puggala½ tulayitv± ok±sa½ k±tunti “bh³tameva nu kho ±patti½ vadati, abh³tan”ti eva½ upaparikkhitv± ok±sa½ k±tu½ anuj±n±m²ti attho.
