108. Na bhikkhave upajjh±ya½ an±pucch±ti ettha “tumh±ka½ s±maºerassa aya½ n±ma apar±dho, daº¹akammamassa karoth±”ti tikkhattu½ vutte, sace upajjh±yo daº¹akamma½ na karoti, saya½ k±tu½ vaµµati. Sacepi ±ditova upajjh±yo vadati “mayha½ s±maºer±na½ dose sati tumhe daº¹akamma½ karoth±”ti k±tu½ vaµµatiyeva. Yath± ca s±maºer±na½ eva½ saddhivih±rikantev±sik±nampi daº¹akamma½ k±tu½ vaµµati.
Apal±¼ent²ti “tumh±ka½ patta½ dass±ma, c²vara½ dass±m±”ti attano upaµµh±nakaraºattha½ saªgaºhanti. Na bhikkhave aññassa paris± apal±¼etabb±ti ettha s±maºer± v± hontu upasampann± v±, antamaso duss²labhikkhuss±pi parassa parisabh³te bhinditv± gaºhitu½ na vaµµati, ±d²nava½ pana vattu½ vaµµati “tay± nh±yitu½ ±gatena g³thamakkhana½ viya kata½ duss²la½ niss±ya viharanten±”ti. Sace so sayameva j±nitv± upajjha½ v± nissaya½ v± y±cati, d±tu½ vaµµati.
Anuj±n±mi bhikkhave dasahaªgehi samann±gata½ s±maºera½ n±setunti ettha kaºµakasikkh±padavaººan±ya½ vutt±su t²su n±san±su liªgan±san±va adhippet±, tasm± yo p±º±tip±t±d²su ekampi kamma½ karoti, so liªgan±san±ya n±setabbo. Yath± ca bhikkh³na½ p±º±tip±t±d²su n±n±-±pattiyo honti, na tath± s±maºer±na½. S±maºero hi kunthakipillikampi m±retv± maªguraº¹akampi bhinditv± n±setabbata½yeva p±puº±ti, t±vadevassa saraºagaman±ni ca upajjh±yaggahaºañca sen±sanagg±ho ca paµippassambhati, saªghal±bha½ na labhati, liªgamattameva eka½ avasiµµha½ hoti. So sace ±kiººadosova hoti, ±yati½ sa½vare na tiµµhati, nikka¹¹hitabbo. Atha sahas± virajjhitv± “duµµhu may± katan”ti puna sa½vare µh±tuk±mo hoti, liªgan±sanakicca½ natthi. Yath±nivatthap±rutasseva saraº±ni d±tabb±ni, upajjh±yo d±tabbo, sikkh±pad±ni pana saraºagamaneneva ijjhanti. S±maºer±nañhi saraºagamana½ bhikkh³na½ upasampadakammav±c±sadisa½, tasm± bhikkh³na½ viya catup±risuddhis²la½, imin±pi dasas²l±ni sam±dinn±neva honti, eva½ santepi da¼h²karaºattha½ ±yati½ sa½vare patiµµh±panattha½ puna d±tabb±ni. Sace purimik±ya puna saraº±ni gahit±ni, pacchimik±ya vass±v±sika½ lacchati. Sace pacchimik±ya gahit±ni, saªghena apaloketv± l±bho d±tabbo.
Adinn±d±ne tiºasal±kamatten±pi vatthun±, abrahmacariye t²su maggesu yattha katthaci vippaµipattiy±, mus±v±de hass±dhipp±yat±yapi mus± bhaºite assamaºo hoti, n±setabbata½ ±pajjati. Majjap±ne pana bhikkhuno aj±nitv±pi b²jato paµµh±ya majja½ pivantassa p±cittiya½. S±maºero j±nitv± pivanto s²labheda½ ±pajjati, na aj±nitv±. Y±ni panassa itar±ni pañca sikkh±pad±ni, tesu bhinnesu na n±setabbo, daº¹akamma½ k±tabba½. Sikkh±pade pana puna dinnepi adinnepi vaµµati. Daº¹akammena pana p²¼etv± ±yati½ sa½vare µhapanatth±ya d±tabbameva. S±maºer±na½ majjap±na½ sacittaka½ p±r±jikavatthu, aya½ viseso.
Avaººabh±sane pana araha½ samm±sambuddhoti-±d²na½ paµipakkhavasena buddhassa v±, sv±kkh±toti-±d²na½ paµipakkhavasena dhammassa v±, suppaµipannoti-±d²na½ paµipakkhavasena saªghassa v± avaººa½ bh±santo ratanattaya½ nindanto garahanto ±cariyupajjh±y±d²hi “m± eva½ avac±”ti avaººabh±sane ±d²nava½ dassetv± niv±retabbo. Sace y±vatatiya½ vuccam±no na oramati, kaºµakan±san±ya n±setabboti kurundiya½ vutta½. Mah±-aµµhakath±ya½ pana “sace eva½ vuccam±no ta½ laddhi½ nissajjati, daº¹akamma½ k±retv± accaya½ des±petabbo. Sace na nissajjati, tatheva ±d±ya paggayha tiµµhati, liªgan±san±ya n±setabbo”ti vutta½, ta½ yutta½. Ayameva hi n±san± idha adhippet±ti.
Micch±diµµhikepi eseva nayo. Sassatucched±nañhi aññataradiµµhiko sace ±cariy±d²hi ovadiyam±no nissajjati, daº¹akamma½ k±retv± accaya½ des±petabbo. Appaµinissajjantova n±setabboti. Bhikkhunid³sako cettha k±ma½ abrahmac±riggahaºena gahitova abrahmac±ri½ pana ±yati½ sa½vare µh±tuk±ma½ saraº±ni datv± upasamp±detu½ vaµµati. Bhikkhunid³sako ±yati½ sa½vare µh±tuk±mopi pabbajjampi na labhati, pageva upasampadanti etamattha½ dassetu½ “bhikkhunid³sako”ti ida½ visu½ dasama½ aªga½ vuttanti veditabba½.
