83. Upajjh±yamh± nissayapaµippassaddh²su– upajjh±yo pakkanto v±ti-±d²su aya½ vinicchayo– pakkantoti tamh± ±v±s± vippavasituk±mo pakkanto disa½ gato. Eva½ gate ca pana tasmi½ sace vih±re nissayad±yako atthi, yassa santike aññad±pi nissayo v± gahitapubbo hoti, yo v± ekasambhogaparibhogo, tassa santike nissayo gahetabbo, ekadivasampi parih±ro natthi. Sace t±diso natthi, añño lajj² pesalo atthi, tassa lajj²pesalabh±va½ j±nantena tadaheva nissayo y±citabbo. Sace deti, icceta½ kusala½. Atha pana “tumh±ka½ upajjh±yo lahu½ ±gamissat²”ti pucchati, upajjh±yena ca tath± vutta½, “±ma, bhante”ti vattabba½. Sace vadati “tena hi upajjh±yassa ±gamana½ ±gameth±”ti vaµµati. Atha panassa pakatiy± pesalabh±va½ na j±n±ti, catt±ri pañca divas±ni tassa bhikkhuno sabh±gata½ oloketv± ok±sa½ k±retv± nissayo gahetabbo.
Sace pana vih±re nissayad±yako natthi, upajjh±yo ca “aha½ katip±hena ±gamiss±mi, m± ukkaºµhitth±”ti vatv± gato, y±va ±gaman± parih±ro labbhati. Ath±pi na½ tattha manuss± paricchinnak±lato uttaripi pañca v± dasa v± divas±ni v±sentiyeva, tena vih±ra½ pavatti pesetabb± “dahar± m± ukkaºµhantu, aha½ asukadivasa½ n±ma ±gamiss±m²”ti. Evampi parih±ro labbhati. Atha ±gacchato antar±magge nad²p³rena v± cor±d²hi v± upaddavo hoti, thero udakosakkana½ v± ±gameti, sah±ye v± pariyesati, tañce pavatti½ dahar± suºanti, y±va ±gaman± parih±ro labbhati. Sace pana ±cariyo “sve piº¹±ya caritv± gamiss±m²”ti vadati, itaro ca “s±dh³”ti sampaµicchati, ekadivasa½ t±va nissayo na paµippassambhati, punadivase paµippassaddho hoti. “Asukasmi½ n±ma g±me piº¹±ya caritv± j±niss±mi mama gamana½ v± agamana½ v±”ti vatv± sace na gacchati, nissayo na paµippassambhati. Sacepi ±cariyo s±layo, antev±siko nir±layo, “na d±ni ima½ niss±ya vasiss±m²”ti dhura½ nikkhipati, evampi na paµippassambhati. Ubhinna½ s±layabh±ve pana na paµippassambhatiyeva. Ubhinna½ dhuranikkhepena paµippassambhati. Paº±mitena daº¹akamma½ ±haritv± tikkhattu½ kham±petabbo. No ce khamati, upajjh±ye vuttanayena paµipajjitabba½.

Sace hi ±cariya½ niss±ya vasanto saddhivih±riko ekavih±re cetiya½ v± vandanta½ ekag±me piº¹±ya v± caranta½ upajjh±ya½ passati, nissayo paµippassambhati. Upajjh±yo passati, saddhivih±riko pana na passati, na paµippassambhati. Savanavasena pana sace upajjh±yassa vih±re v± antaraghare v± dhamma½ kathentassa anumodana½ v± karontassa sadda½ sutv± “upajjh±yassa me saddo”ti sañj±n±ti, nissayo paµippassambhati. Asañj±nantassa na paµippassambhat²ti aya½ samodh±ne vinicchayo.
