451. Kosambakakkhandhake ta½ bhikkhu½ ±pattiy± adassane ukkhipi½s³ti ettha ayamanupubbikath±– dve kira bhikkh³ ekasmi½ ±v±se vasanti vinayadharo ca suttantiko ca. Tesu suttantiko bhikkhu ekadivasa½ vaccakuµi½ paviµµho ±camana-udak±vasesa½ bh±jane µhapetv±va nikkhami. Vinayadharo pacch± paviµµho ta½ udaka½ disv± nikkhamitv± ta½ bhikkhu½ pucchi– “±vuso, tay± ida½ udaka½ µhapitan”ti? “¾m±vuso”ti. “Ki½ tva½ ettha ±pattibh±va½ na j±n±s²”ti? “¾ma, na j±n±m²”ti. “Hoti, ±vuso ettha ±patt²”ti? “Sace hoti, desiss±m²”ti. “Sace pana te, ±vuso, asañcicca asatiy± kata½, natthi ±patt²”ti. So tass± ±pattiy± an±pattidiµµhi ahosi.
Vinayadharopi attano nissitak±na½ “aya½ suttantiko ±patti½ ±pajjam±nopi na j±n±t²”ti ±rocesi. Te tassa nissitake disv± “tumh±ka½ upajjh±yo ±patti½ ±pajjitv±pi ±pattibh±va½ na j±n±t²”ti ±ha½su. Te gantv± attano upajjh±yassa ±rocesu½. So evam±ha– “aya½ vinayadharo pubbe an±patt²”ti vatv± “id±ni ±patt²”ti vadati. Mus±v±d² esoti. Te gantv± “tumh±ka½ upajjh±yo mus±v±d²”ti eva½ aññamañña½ kalaha½ va¹¹hayi½su. Tato vinayadharo ok±sa½ labhitv± tassa ±pattiy± adassane ukkhepan²yakamma½ ak±si. Tena vutta½– “ta½ bhikkhu½ ±pattiy± adassane ukkhipi½s³”ti.
453. Bhinno bhikkhusaªgho bhinno bhikkhusaªghoti ettha na t±va bhinno; apica kho yath± deve vuµµhe “id±ni sassa½ nipphannan”ti vuccati, avassañhi ta½ nipphajjissati, evameva imin± k±raºena ±yati½ avassa½ bhijjissati, so ca kho kalahavasena na saªghabhedavasena, tasm± “bhinno”ti vutta½. Sambhama-atthavasena cettha ±me¹ita½ veditabba½.
454. Etamattha½ bh±sitv± uµµh±y±san± pakk±m²ti kasm± eva½ bh±sitv± pakk±mi? Sace hi bhagav± ukkhepake v± “ak±raºe tumhehi so bhikkhu ukkhitto”ti vadeyya, ukkhitt±nuvattake v± “tumhe ±patti½ ±pann±”ti vadeyya, “etesa½ bhagav± pakkho, etesa½ bhagav± pakkho”ti vatv± ±gh±ta½ bandheyyu½, tasm± tantimeva µhapetv± etamattha½ bh±sitv± uµµh±y±san± pakk±mi.
455. Attan± v± att±nanti ettha yo saªghena ukkhepan²yakat±na½ adhammav±d²na½ pakkhe nisinno “tumhe ki½ bhaºath±”ti tesañca itaresañca laddhi½ sutv± “ime adhammav±dino, itare dhammav±dino”ti citta½ upp±deti, aya½ tesa½ majjhe nisinnova tesa½ n±n±sa½v±sako hoti, kamma½ kopeti, itaresampi hatthap±sa½ an±gatatt± kopeti. Eva½ attan± v± att±na½ n±n±sa½v±saka½ karoti. Sam±nasa½v±sakanti etth±pi yo adhammav±d²na½ pakkhe nisinno “adhammav±dino ime, itare dhammav±dino”ti tesa½ majjha½ pavisati, yattha v± tattha v± pana pakkhe nisinno “ime dhammav±dino”ti gaºh±ti, aya½ attan± v± att±na½ sam±nasa½v±saka½ karot²ti veditabbo.
456. K±yakamma½ vac²kammanti ettha k±yena paharant± k±yakamma½ upada½senti, pharusa½ vadant± vac²kamma½ upada½sent²ti veditabb±. Hatthapar±m±sa½ karont²ti kodhavasena hatthehi aññamañña½ par±masana½ karonti. Adhammiy±yam±neti adhammiy±ni kicc±ni kurum±ne. Asammodik±vattam±n±y±ti asammodik±ya vattam±n±ya. Ayameva v± p±µho. Sammodanakath±ya avattam±n±y±ti attho. Ett±vat± na aññamaññanti ettha dve pantiyo katv± upac±ra½ muñcitv± nis²ditabba½, dhammiy±yam±ne pana sammodik±ya vattam±n±ya ±sanantarik±ya nis²ditabba½, ekeka½ ±sana½ antara½ katv± nis²ditabba½.
457-458. M± bhaº¹ananti-±d²su “akatth±”ti p±µhasesa½ gahetv± “m± bhaº¹ana½ akatth±”ti evamattho daµµhabbo. Adhammav±d²ti ukkhitt±nuvattakesu aññataro. Aya½ pana bhikkhu bhagavato atthak±mo, aya½ kirassa adhipp±yo “ime bhikkh³ kodh±bhibh³t± satthu vacana½ na gaºhanti, m± bhagav± ete ovadanto kilamitth±”ti tasm± evam±ha. Bhagav± pana “pacch±pi sañña½ labhitv± oramissant²”ti tesa½ anukamp±ya at²tavatthu½ ±haritv± kathesi. Tattha anatthatoti anattho ato; etasm± me puris± anatthoti vutta½ hoti. Atha v± anatthatoti anatthado. Sesa½ p±kaµameva.
464. Puthusaddoti-±dig±th±su pana puthu mah± saddo ass±ti puthusaddo. Samajanoti sam±no ekasadiso jano; sabbo c±ya½ bhaº¹anak±rakojano samantato saddanicch±raºena puthusaddo ceva sadiso c±ti vutta½ hoti. Na b±lo koci maññath±ti tattha koci ekopi “aha½ b±lo”ti na maññittha; sabbepi paº¹itam±ninoyeva. N±ñña½ bhiyyo amaññarunti koci ekopi “aha½ b±lo”ti ca na maññittha; bhiyyo ca saªghasmi½ bhijjam±ne aññampi eka½ “mayha½ k±raº± saªgho bhijjat²”ti ida½ k±raºa½ na maññitth±ti attho.
Parimuµµh±ti parimuµµhassatino. V±c±gocarabh±ºinoti r±k±rassa rass±deso kato v±c±gocar± na satipaµµh±n±digocar±. Bh±ºino ca katha½ bh±ºino? Pareti paº¹ite µhapetv± tato aññe bhaº¹anak±rak± pare n±ma. Te ettha saªghamajjhe kalaha½ karont± “maya½ yam±mase upayam±ma; satata½ samita½ maccusantika½ gacch±m±”ti na j±nanti. Ye ca tattha vij±nant²ti ye tattha paº¹it± “maya½ maccusam²pa½ gacch±m±”ti vij±nanti. Tato sammanti medhag±ti evañhi te j±nant± yonisomanasik±ra½ upp±detv± medhag±na½ kalah±na½ v³pasam±ya paµipajjanti.
Aµµhicchinn±ti aya½ g±th± brahmadattañca d²gh±vukum±rañca sandh±ya vutt±. Tesampi hoti saªgati, kasm± tumh±ka½ na hoti, yesa½ vo neva m±t±pit³na½ aµµh²ni chinn±ni, na p±º± hat±, na gav±ssadhan±ni haµ±n²ti.
Sace labheth±ti-±dig±th± paº¹itasah±yassa ca b±lasah±yassa ca vaºº±vaººad²panattha½ vutt±. Abhibhuyya sabb±ni parissay±n²ti p±kaµaparissaye ca paµicchannaparissaye ca abhibhavitv± tena saddhi½ attamano satim± careyya.
R±j±va raµµha½ vijitanti yath± attano vijita½ raµµha½ mah±janakar±j± ca arindamamah±r±j± ca pah±ya ekak± cari½su; eva½ careyy±ti attho. M±taªgaraññeva n±goti m±taªgo araññe n±gova. M±taªgoti hatth² vuccati; n±goti mahant±dhivacanameta½. Yath± hi m±tuposako m±taªgan±go araññe eko cari, na ca p±p±ni ak±si. Yath± ca p±lileyyako, eva½ eko care, na ca p±p±ni kayir±ti vutta½ hoti.
