Atha kho bhagav± satt±hassa accayena tamh± sam±dhimh± vuµµhahitv± bodhirukkham³l± yena ajap±lanigrodho tenupasaªkam²ti ettha na bhagav± tamh± sam±dhimh± vuµµhahitv± anantarameva bodhirukkham³l± yena ajap±lanigrodho tenupasaªkami. Yath± pana “bhutv± sayat²”ti vutte na “hatthe adhovitv± mukha½ avikkh±letv± sayanasam²pa½ agantv± añña½ kiñci ±l±pasall±pa½ akatv± sayati”cceva vutta½ hoti, bhojanato pana pacch± sayati, na nasayat²ti idamevattha d²pita½ hoti. Evamidh±pi “na tamh± sam±dhimh± vuµµhahitv± anantarameva pakk±m²”ti vutta½ hoti, vuµµh±nato ca pana pacch± pakk±mi, na napakk±m²ti idamevettha d²pita½ hoti.
Anantara½ pana apakkamitv± bhagav± ki½ ak±s²ti? Apar±nipi t²ºi satt±h±ni bodhisam²peyeva v²tin±mesi. Tatr±ya½ anupubbikath±– bhagavati kira buddhatta½ patv± satt±ha½ ekapallaªkena nisinne “na bhagav± vuµµh±ti; ki½ nu kho aññepi buddhattakar± dhamm± atth²”ti ekacc±na½ devat±na½ kaªkh± udap±di. Atha bhagav± aµµhame divase sam±pattito vuµµh±ya devat±na½ kaªkha½ ñatv± kaªkh±vidhamanattha½ ±k±se uppatitv± yamakap±µih±riya½ dassetv± t±sa½ kaªkha½ vidhamitv± pallaªkato ²saka½ p±c²nanissite uttaradis±bh±ge µhatv± catt±ri asaªkhyeyy±ni kappasatasahassañca upacit±na½ p±ram²na½ bal±dhigamanaµµh±na½ pallaªka½ bodhirukkhañca animisehi akkh²hi olokayam±no satt±ha½ v²tin±mesi, ta½ µh±na½ animisacetiya½ n±ma j±ta½. Atha pallaªkassa ca µhitaµµh±nassa ca antar± puratthimato ca pacchimato ca ±yate ratanacaªkame caªkamanto satt±ha½ v²tin±mesi, ta½ µh±na½ ratanacaªkamacetiya½ n±ma j±ta½. Tato pacchimadis±bh±ge devat± ratanaghara½ m±payi½su. Tattha pallaªkena nis²ditv± abhidhammapiµaka½ visesato cettha anantanaya½ samantapaµµh±na½ vicinanto satt±ha½ v²tin±mesi, ta½ µh±na½ ratanagharacetiya½ n±ma j±ta½.
Eva½ bodhisam²peyeva catt±ri satt±h±ni v²tin±metv± pañcame satt±he bodhirukkham³l± yena ajap±lanigrodho tenupasaªkami. Tassa kira nigrodhassa ch±y±ya ajap±lak± gantv± nis²danti; tenassa ajap±lanigrodhotveva n±ma½ udap±di. Satt±ha½ vimuttisukhapaµisa½ved²ti tatr±pi dhamma½ vicinantoyeva vimuttisukha½ paµisa½vedento nis²di. Bodhito puratthimadis±bh±ge esa rukkho hoti. Eva½ nisinne ca panettha bhagavati eko br±hmaºo gantv± pañha½ pucchi. Tena vutta½ “atha kho aññataro”ti-±di. Tattha hu½huªkaj±tikoti so kira diµµhamaªgaliko n±ma m±navasena kodhavasena ca “hu½hun”ti karonto vicarati, tasm± “hu½huªkaj±tiko”ti vuccati. “Huhukkaj±tiko”tipi paµhanti.
Etamattha½ viditv±ti eta½ tena vuttassa vacanassa sikh±pattamattha½ viditv± t±ya½ vel±ya½ ima½ ud±na½ ud±nesi. Tassattho– yo b±hitap±padhammat±ya br±hmaºo na diµµhamaªgalikat±ya, hu½huªk±rakabh±v±dip±padhammayutto hutv± kevala½ j±timattakena brahmañña½ paµij±n±ti, so br±hmaºo b±hitap±padhammatt± hu½huªk±rappah±nena nihu½huªko, r±g±dikas±v±bh±vena nikkas±vo, bh±van±nuyogayuttacittat±ya yatatto, s²lasa½varena v± saññatacittat±ya yatatto, catumaggañ±ºasaªkh±tehi vedehi anta½, ved±na½ v± anta½ gatatt± vedantag³, maggabrahmacariyassa vusitatt± vusitabrahmacariyo. Dhammena brahmav±da½ vadeyya, “br±hmaºo, ahan”ti eta½ v±da½ dhammena vadeyya, yassa sakale lokasanniv±se kuhiñci ek±rammaºepi r±gussado dosussado mohussado m±nussado diµµhussadoti ime ussad± natth²ti.
