tesa½yeva aya½ tasm±, hoti sa½vaººan±nayoti.
1. Tena samayena buddho bhagav± uruvel±ya½ viharati najj± nerañjar±ya t²re bodhirukkham³le paµham±bhisambuddhoti ettha kiñc±pi “tena samayena buddho bhagav± verañj±yan”ti-±d²su viya karaºavacane visesak±raºa½ natthi, vinaya½ patv± pana karaºavacaneneva ayamabhil±po ±ropitoti ±dito paµµh±ya ±ru¼h±bhil±pavaseneveta½ vuttanti veditabba½. Esa nayo aññesupi ito paresu evar³pesu.
Ki½ panetassa vacane payojananti? Pabbajj±d²na½ vinayakamm±na½ ±dito paµµh±ya nid±nadassana½. Y± hi bhagavat± “anuj±n±mi, bhikkhave, imehi t²hi saraºagamanehi pabbajja½ upasampadan”ti (mah±va. 34) eva½ pabbajj± ceva upasampad± ca anuññ±t±, y±ni ca r±jagah±d²su upajjh±ya-upajjh±yavatta-±cariya-±cariyavatt±d²ni anuññ±t±ni, t±ni abhisambodhi½ patv± sattasatt±ha½ bodhimaº¹e v²tin±metv± b±r±ºasiya½ dhammacakka½ pavattetv± imin± anukkamena idañcidañca µh±na½ patv± imasmiñca imasmiñca vatthusmi½ paññatt±n²ti evametesa½ pabbajj±d²na½ vinayakamm±na½ ±dito paµµh±ya nid±nadassana½ etassa vacane payojananti veditabba½.
Tattha uruvel±yanti mah±vel±ya½; mahante v±likar±simh²ti attho. Atha v± “ur³”ti v±lik± vuccati; “vel±”ti mariy±d±; vel±tikkamanahetu ±haµ± uru uruvel±ti evampettha attho daµµhabbo. At²te kira anuppanne buddhe dasasahassakulaputt± t±pasapabbajja½ pabbajitv± tasmi½ padese viharant± ekadivasa½ sannipatitv± katikavatta½ aka½su– “k±yakammavac²kamm±ni n±ma paresampi p±kaµ±ni honti, manokamma½ pana ap±kaµa½; tasm± yo k±mavitakka½ v± by±p±davitakka½ v± vihi½s±vitakka½ v± vitakketi, tassa añño codako n±ma natthi, so attan±va att±na½ codetv± pattapuµena v±lika½ ±haritv± imasmi½ µh±ne ±kiratu, idamassa daº¹akamman”ti. Tato paµµh±ya yo t±disa½ vitakka½ vitakketi, so tattha pattapuµena v±lika½ ±kirati. Eva½ tattha anukkamena mah±v±likar±si j±to, tato na½ pacchim± janat± parikkhipitv± cetiyaµµh±namak±si. Ta½ sandh±ya vutta½– “uruvel±yanti mah±vel±ya½; mahante v±likar±simh²ti attho”ti. Tameva sandh±ya vutta½– “atha v± ur³ti v±lik± vuccati; vel±ti mariy±d±; vel±tikkamanahetu ±haµ± uru uruvel±ti evampettha attho daµµhabbo”ti.
Bodhirukkham³leti bodhi vuccati cat³su maggesu ñ±ºa½; ta½ bodhi½ bhagav± ettha pattoti rukkhopi “bodhirukkho”tveva n±ma½ labhi, tassa bodhirukkhassa m³le bodhirukkham³le. Paµham±bhisambuddhoti paµhama½ abhisambuddho; abhisambuddho hutv± sabbapaµhama½yev±ti attho. Ekapallaªken±ti sakimpi anuµµhahitv± yath±-±bhujitena ekeneva pallaªkena. Vimuttisukhapaµisa½ved²ti vimuttisukha½ phalasam±pattisukha½ paµisa½vedayam±no.
Paµiccasamupp±danti paccay±k±ra½. Paccay±k±ro hi aññamañña½ paµicca sahite dhamme upp±det²ti “paµiccasamupp±do”ti vuccati. Ayamettha saªkhepo. Vitth±ro pana sabb±k±rasampanna½ vinicchaya½ icchantena visuddhimaggato gahetabbo. Anulomapaµilomanti anulomañca paµilomañca. Tattha “avijj±paccay± saªkh±r±”ti-±din± nayena vutto avijj±diko paccay±k±ro attan± kattabbakiccakaraºato “anulomo”ti vuccati. “Avijj±ya tveva asesavir±ganirodh± saªkh±ranirodho”ti-±din± nayena vutto sveva anupp±danirodhena nirujjham±no ta½ kicca½ na karot²ti tassa akaraºato “paµilomo”ti vuccati. Purimanayena v± vutto pavattiy± anulomo, itaro tass± paµilomoti evampettha attho daµµhabbo. ¾dito pana paµµh±ya y±va anta½, antato ca paµµh±ya y±va ±di½ p±petv± avuttatt± ito aññenatthena anulomapaµilomat± na yujjati.
Manas±k±s²ti manasi ak±si. Tattha yath± anuloma½ manasi ak±si, ida½ t±va dassetu½ “avijj±paccay± saªkh±r±”ti-±di vutta½. Tattha avijj± ca s± paccayo c±ti avijj±paccayo. Tasm± avijj±paccay± saªkh±r± sambhavant²ti imin± nayena sabbapadesu attho veditabbo. Ayamettha saªkhepo. Vitth±ro pana sabb±k±rasampanna½ vinicchaya½ icchantena visuddhimaggatova gahetabbo.
Yath± pana paµiloma½ manasi ak±si, ida½ dassetu½ avijj±ya tveva asesavir±ganirodh± saªkh±ranirodhoti-±di vutta½. Tattha avijj±ya tvev±ti avijj±ya tu eva. Asesavir±ganirodh±ti vir±gasaªkh±tena maggena asesanirodh± Saªkh±ranirodhoti saªkh±r±na½ anupp±danirodho hoti. Eva½ niruddh±na½ pana saªkh±r±na½ nirodh± viññ±ºa½ niruddha½, viññ±º±d²nañca nirodh± n±mar³p±d²ni niruddh±niyeva hont²ti dassetu½ saªkh±ranirodh± viññ±ºanirodhoti-±d²ni vatv± evametassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa nirodho hot²ti vutta½. Tattha kevalass±ti sakalassa; suddhassa v± sattavirahitass±ti attho. Dukkhakkhandhass±ti dukkhar±sissa. Nirodho hot²ti anupp±do hoti.
Etamattha½ viditv±ti yv±ya½ “avijj±divasena saªkh±r±dikassa dukkhakkhandhassa samudayo ca avijj±nirodh±divasena ca nirodho hot²”ti vutto, sabb±k±rena etamattha½ viditv±. T±ya½ vel±yanti t±ya½ tassa atthassa viditavel±ya½. Ima½ ud±na½ ud±nes²ti ima½ tasmi½ vidite atthe hetuno ca hetusamuppannadhammassa ca paj±nan±ya ±nubh±vad²paka½ “yad± have p±tubhavant²”ti-±dika½ somanassayuttañ±ºasamuµµh±na½ ud±na½ ud±nesi, attamanav±ca½ nicch±res²ti vutta½ hoti.
Tassattho– yad± haveti yasmi½ bhave k±le. P±tubhavant²ti uppajjanti. Dhamm±ti anulomapaccay±k±rapaµivedhas±dhak± bodhipakkhiyadhamm±. Atha v± p±tubhavant²ti pak±santi; abhisamayavasena byatt± p±kaµ± honti. Dhamm±ti catu-ariyasaccadhamm±. ¾t±po vuccati kilesasant±panaµµhena v²riya½; ±t±pinoti sammappadh±nav²riyavato. Jh±yatoti ±rammaº³panijjh±nalakkhaºena ca lakkhaº³panijjh±nalakkhaºena ca jh±nena jh±yantassa. Br±hmaºass±ti b±hitap±passa kh²º±savassa. Athassa kaªkh± vapayant²ti athassa eva½ p±tubh³tadhammassa kaªkh± vapayanti. Sabb±ti y± et± “ko nu kho bhante phusat²ti; no kallo pañhoti bhagav± avoc±”ti-±din±, tath± “katama½ nu kho bhante jar±maraºa½; kassa ca panida½ jar±maraºanti no kallo pañhoti bhagav± avoc±”ti-±din± ca nayena paccay±k±re kaªkh± vutt±, y± ca paccay±k±rasseva appaµividdhatt± “ahosi½ nu kho aha½ at²tamaddh±nan”ti-±dik± so¼asa kaªkh± ±gat±, t± sabb± vapayanti apagacchanti nirujjhanti. Kasm±? Yato paj±n±ti sahetudhammanti yasm± avijj±dikena hetun± sahetuka½ ima½ saªkh±r±di½ kevala½ dukkhakkhandhadhamma½ paj±n±ti aññ±ti paµivijjhat²ti.

Dutiyav±re– ima½ ud±na½ ud±nes²ti ima½ tasmi½ vidite atthe “avijj±ya tveva asesavir±ganirodh± saªkh±ranirodho”ti eva½ pak±sitassa nibb±nasaªkh±tassa paccayakkhayassa avabodh±nubh±vad²paka½ vuttappak±ra½ ud±na½ ud±nes²ti attho. Tatr±ya½ saªkhepattho– yasm± paccay±na½ khayasaªkh±ta½ nibb±na½ avedi aññ±si paµivijjhi, tasm± yad±ssa ±t±pino jh±yato br±hmaºassa vuttappak±r± dhamm± p±tubhavanti, athassa y± nibb±nassa aviditatt± uppajjeyyu½, t± sabb±pi kaªkh± vapayant²ti.

Tatiyav±re– ima½ ud±na½ ud±nes²ti ima½ yena maggena so dukkhakkhandhassa samudayanirodhasaªkh±to attho kiccavasena ca ±rammaºakiriy±ya ca vidito, tassa ariyamaggassa ±nubh±vad²paka½ vuttappak±ra½ ud±na½ ud±nes²ti attho. Tatr±p±ya½ saªkhepattho– yad± have p±tubhavanti dhamm± ±t±pino jh±yato br±hmaºassa, tad± so br±hmaºo tehi v± uppannehi bodhipakkhiyadhammehi, yassa v± ariyamaggassa catusaccadhamm± p±tubh³t±, tena ariyamaggena vidh³paya½ tiµµhati m±rasena½ “k±m± te paµham± sen±”ti-±din± nayena vuttappak±ra½ m±rasena½ vidh³payanto vidhamento viddha½sento tiµµhati. Katha½? S³riyova obh±sayamantalikkha½, yath± s³riyo abbhuggato attano pabh±ya antalikkha½ obh±sentova andhak±ra½ vidhamento tiµµhati, eva½ sopi br±hmaºo tehi dhammehi tena v± maggena sacc±ni paµivijjhantova m±rasena½ vidh³payanto tiµµhat²ti.
Evamettha paµhama½ ud±na½ paccay±k±rapaccavekkhaºavasena, dutiya½ nibb±napaccavekkhaºavasena tatiya½ maggapaccavekkhaºavasena uppannanti veditabba½. Ud±ne pana “rattiy± paµhama½ y±ma½ paµiccasamupp±da½ anuloma½, dutiya½ y±ma½ paµiloma½, tatiya½ y±ma½ anulomapaµiloman”ti vutta½; ta½ satt±hassa accayena “sve ±san± vuµµhahiss±m²”ti ratti½ upp±ditamanasik±ra½ sandh±ya vutta½. Tad± hi bhagav± yassa paccay±k±rapaj±nanassa ca paccayakkhay±dhigamassa ca ±nubh±vad²pik± purim± dve ud±nag±th±, tassa vasena ekekameva koµµh±sa½ paµhamay±mañca majjhimay±mañca manas±k±si, idha pana p±µipadarattiy± eva½ manas±k±si. Bhagav± hi vis±khapuººam±ya rattiy± paµhamay±me pubbeniv±sa½ anussari, majjhimay±me dibbacakkhu½ visodhesi, pacchimay±me paµiccasamupp±da½ anulomapaµiloma½ manasi katv± “id±ni aruºo uggamissat²”ti sabbaññuta½ p±puºi. Sabbaññutappattisamanantarameva ca aruºo uggacchi. Tato ta½ divasa½ teneva pallaªkena v²tin±metv± sampatt±ya p±µipadarattiy± t²su y±mesu eva½ manasi katv± im±ni ud±n±ni ud±nesi. Iti p±µipadarattiy± eva½ manasi katv± ta½ “bodhirukkham³le satt±ha½ ekapallaªkena nis²d²”ti eva½ vuttasatt±ha½ tattheva v²tin±mesi.
