443. Tena samayena buddho bhagav± s±vatthiya½ viharati jetavane an±thapiŗ¹ikassa ±r±me. Tena kho pana samayena ±yasm± ud±y² s±vatthiya½ kul³pako hoti, bahuk±ni kul±ni upasaŖkamati. Tena kho pana samayena ±yasmato ud±yissa upaµµh±kakulassa kum±rik± ańńatarassa kulassa kum±rakassa dinn± hoti. Atha kho ±yasm± ud±y² pubbaŗhasamaya½ niv±setv± pattac²varam±d±ya yena ta½ kula½ tenupasaŖkami; upasaŖkamitv± manusse pucchi– “kaha½ itthann±m±”ti? Te evam±ha½su– “dinn±, bhante, amukassa kulassa kum±rakass±”ti. Tampi kho kula½ ±yasmato ud±yissa upaµµh±ka½ hoti. Atha kho ±yasm± ud±y² yena ta½ kula½ tenupasaŖkami; upasaŖkamitv± manusse pucchi– “kaha½ itthann±m±”ti? Te evam±ha½su– “es±yya, ovarake nisinn±”ti. Atha kho ±yasm± ud±y² yena s± kum±rik± tenupasaŖkami; upasaŖkamitv± tass± kum±rik±ya saddhi½ eko ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisajja½ kappesi k±layutta½ samullapanto k±layutta½ dhamma½ bhaŗanto.
Tena kho pana samayena vis±kh± mig±ram±t± bahuputt± hoti bahunatt± arogaputt± aroganatt± abhimaŖgalasammat±. Manuss± yańńesu chaŗesu ussavesu vis±kha½ mig±ram±tara½ paµhama½ bhojenti. Atha kho vis±kh± mig±ram±t± nimantit± ta½ kula½ agam±si. Addas± kho vis±kh± mig±ram±t± ±yasmanta½ ud±yi½ tass± kum±rik±ya saddhi½ eka½ ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisinna½. Disv±na ±yasmanta½ ud±yi½ etadavoca– “ida½, bhante, nacchanna½ nappatir³pa½ ya½ ayyo m±tug±mena saddhi½ eko ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisajja½ kappeti. Kińc±pi, bhante, ayyo anatthiko tena dhammena, apica dussaddh±pay± appasann± manuss±”ti. Evampi kho ±yasm± ud±y² vis±kh±ya mig±ram±tuy± vuccam±no n±diyi. Atha kho vis±kh± mig±ram±t± nikkhamitv± bhikkh³na½ etamattha½ ±rocesi. Ye te bhikkh³ appicch±…pe… te ujjh±yanti khiyyanti vip±centi– “kathańhi n±ma ±yasm± ud±y² m±tug±mena saddhi½ eko ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisajja½ kappessat²”ti! Atha kho te bhikkh³ ±yasmanta½ ud±yi½ anekapariy±yena vigarahitv± bhagavato etamattha½ ±rocesu½…pe… “sacca½ kira tva½, ud±yi, m±tug±mena saddhi½ eko ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisajja½ kappes²”ti? “Sacca½, bhagav±”ti. Vigarahi buddho bhagav±…pe… kathańhi n±ma tva½, moghapurisa, m±tug±mena saddhi½ eko ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisajja½ kappessasi! Neta½, moghapurisa, appasann±na½ v± pas±d±ya…pe… evańca pana, bhikkhave ima½ sikkh±pada½ uddiseyy±tha–
444. “Yo pana bhikkhu m±tug±mena saddhi½ eko ek±ya raho paµicchanne ±sane ala½kammaniye nisajja½ kappeyya, tamena½ saddheyyavacas± up±sik± disv± tiŗŗa½ dhamm±na½ ańńatarena vadeyya– p±r±jikena v± saŖgh±disesena v± p±cittiyena v±, nisajja½ bhikkhu paµij±nam±no tiŗŗa½ dhamm±na½ ańńatarena k±retabbo– p±r±jikena v± saŖgh±disesena v± p±cittiyena v± yena v± s± saddheyyavacas± up±sik± vadeyya, tena so bhikkhu k±retabbo. Aya½ dhammo aniyato”ti.
445. Yo pan±ti yo y±diso…pe… bhikkh³ti…pe… aya½ imasmi½ atthe adhippeto bhikkh³ti.
M±tug±mo n±ma manussitth², na yakkh² na pet² na tiracch±nagat±. Antamaso tadahuj±t±pi d±rik±, pageva mahattar².
Saddhinti ekato.
Eko ek±y±ti bhikkhu ceva hoti m±tug±mo ca.
Raho n±ma cakkhussa raho, sotassa raho. Cakkhussa rahon±ma na sakk± hoti akkhi½ v± nikhaŗ²yam±ne bhamuka½ v± ukkhip²yam±ne s²sa½ v± ukkhip²yam±ne passitu½. Sotassa rahon±ma na sakk± hoti pakatikath± sotu½.
Paµicchanna½ n±ma ±sana½ kuµµena v± [ku¹¹ena v± (s². sy±.)] kav±µena v± kilańjena v± s±ŗip±k±rena v± rukkhena v± thambhena v± kottha¼iy± v± yena kenaci paµicchanna½ hoti.
Ala½kammaniyeti sakk± hoti methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevitu½.
Nisajja½ kappeyy±ti m±tug±me nisinne bhikkhu upanisinno v± hoti upanipanno v±. Bhikkhu nisinne m±tug±mo upanisinno v± hoti upanipanno v±. Ubho v± nisinn± honti ubho v± nipann±.
Saddheyyavacas± n±ma ±gataphal± abhisamet±vin² vińń±tas±san±.
Up±sik± n±ma buddha½ saraŗa½ gat±, dhamma½ saraŗa½ gat±, saŖgha½ saraŗa½ gat±.

Tiŗŗa½ dhamm±na½ ańńatarena vadeyya– p±r±jikena v± saŖgh±disesena v± p±cittiyena v±. Nisajja½ bhikkhu paµij±nam±no tiŗŗa½ dhamm±na½ ańńatarena k±retabbo– p±r±jikena v± saŖgh±disesena v± p±cittiyena v±. Yena v± s± saddheyyavacas± up±sik± vadeyya tena so bhikkhu k±retabbo.
446. S± ce eva½ vadeyya– “ayyo may± diµµho nisinno m±tug±massa methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevanto”ti, so ca ta½ paµij±n±ti, ±pattiy± k±retabbo. S± ce eva½ vadeyya– “ayyo may± diµµho nisinno m±tug±massa methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevanto”ti, so ce eva½ vadeyya– “sacc±ha½ nisinno, no ca kho methuna½ dhamma½ paµisevin”ti, nisajj±ya k±retabbo.
