Apaññatte sikkh±padeti paµhamap±r±jikasikkh±pade aµµhapite. Bhagavato kira paµhamabodhiya½ v²sati vass±ni bhikkh³ citta½ ±r±dhayi½su, na evar³pa½ ajjh±c±ramaka½su. Ta½ sandh±yeva ida½ suttam±ha– “±r±dhayi½su vata me, bhikkhave, bhikkh³ eka½ samaya½ cittan”ti (ma. ni. 1.225). Atha bhagav± ajjh±c±ra½ apassanto p±r±jika½ v± saªgh±disesa½ v± na paññapesi. Tasmi½ tasmi½ pana vatthusmi½ avasese pañca khuddak±pattikkhandhe eva paññapesi. Tena vutta½– “apaññatte sikkh±pade”ti.
An±d²navadassoti ya½ bhagav± id±ni sikkh±pada½ paññapento ±d²nava½ dassessati, ta½ apassanto anavajjasaññ² hutv±. Sace hi “aya½ ida½ na karaº²yanti v± m³lacchejj±ya v± sa½vattat²”ti j±neyya, saddh±pabbajito kulaputto tatonid±na½ j²vitakkhaya½ p±puºantopi na kareyya. Ettha pana ±d²nava½ apassanto niddosasaññ² ahosi. Tena vutta½– “an±d²navadasso”ti. Pur±ºadutiyik±y±ti bhummavacana½. Abhiviññ±pes²ti pavattesi; pavattan±pi hi k±yaviññatticopanato “viññ±pan±”ti vuccati. Tikkhattu½ abhiviññ±panañcesa gabbhasaºµh±nasanniµµh±natthamak±s²ti veditabbo.
S± tena gabbha½ gaºh²ti s± ca teneva ajjh±c±rena gabbha½ gaºhi, na aññath±. Ki½ pana aññath±pi gabbhaggahaºa½ hot²ti Hoti. Katha½? K±yasa½saggena co¼aggahaºena, asucip±nena, n±bhipar±masanena, r³padassanena, saddena, gandhena. Itthiyo hi ekacc± utusamaye chandar±garatt± puris±na½ hatthagg±ha-veºigg±ha-aªgapaccaªgapar±masana½ s±diyantiyopi gabbha½ gaºhanti. Eva½ k±yasa½saggena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti.
Ud±yittherassa pana pur±ºadutiyik± bhikkhun² ta½ asuci½ ekadesa½ mukhena aggahesi, ekadesa½ co¼akeneva saddhi½ aªgaj±te pakkhipi. S± tena gabbha½ gaºhi. Eva½ co¼aggahaºena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti.
Migasiªgat±pasassa m±t± mig² utusamaye t±pasassa pass±vaµµh±na½ ±gantv± sasambhava½ pass±va½ pivi. S± tena gabbha½ gaºhitv± migasiªga½ vij±yi. Eva½ asucip±nena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti.
S±massa pana bodhisattassa m±t±pit³na½ cakkhuparih±ni½ ñatv± sakko putta½ d±tuk±mo duk³lapaº¹ita½ ±ha– “vaµµati tumh±ka½ methunadhammo”ti? “Anatthik± maya½ etena, isipabbajja½ pabbajit±mh±”ti. “Tena hi imiss± utusamaye aªguµµhena n±bhi½ par±maseyy±th±”ti. So tath± ak±si. S± tena gabbha½ gaºhitv± s±ma½ t±pasad±raka½ vij±yi. Eva½ n±bhipar±masanena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti. Eteneva nayena maº¹abyassa ca caº¹apajjotassa ca vatthu veditabba½.
Katha½ r³padassanena hoti? Idhekacc± itth² utusamaye purisasa½sagga½ alabham±n± chandar±gavasena antogehagat±va purisa½ upanijjh±yati r±jorodh± viya, s± tena gabbha½ gaºh±ti. Eva½ r³padassanena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti.
Bal±k±su pana puriso n±ma natthi, t± utusamaye meghasadda½ sutv± gabbha½ gaºhanti. Kukkuµiyopi kad±ci ekassa kukkuµassa sadda½ sutv± bahuk±pi gabbha½ gaºhanti. Tath± g±v² usabhassa. Eva½ saddena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti.
G±v² eva ca kad±ci usabhagandhena gabbha½ gaºhanti. Eva½ gandhena gabbhaggahaºa½ hoti.
Idha pan±ya½ ajjh±c±rena gabbha½ gaºhi. Ya½ sandh±ya vutta½– “m±t±pitaro ca sannipatit± honti, m±t± ca utun² hoti, gandhabbo ca paccupaµµhito hoti, eva½ tiººa½ sannip±t± gabbhass±vakkanti hot²”ti (ma. ni. 1.408).
Bhumm± dev± saddamanuss±vesunti yasm± natthi loke raho n±ma p±pakamma½ pakubbato. Sabbapaµhama½ hissa ta½ p±pa½ attan± j±n±ti, tato ±rakkhadevat±, athaññ±pi paracittaviduniyo devat±. Tasm±ssa paracittavid³ sakalavanasaº¹anissit± bhumm± dev± ta½ ajjh±c±ra½ disv± sadda½ anuss±vesu½. Yath± aññepi dev± suºanti, tath± nicch±resu½. Kinti Nirabbudo vata, bho…pe… ±d²navo upp±ditoti. Tassattho verañjakaº¹e vuttanayeneva veditabbo.
Bhumm±na½ dev±na½ sadda½ sutv± c±tumah±r±jik±ti ettha pana bhumm±na½ dev±na½ sadda½ ±k±saµµhadevat± assosu½; ±k±saµµh±na½ c±tumah±r±jik±ti ayamanukkamo veditabbo. Brahmak±yik±ti asaññasatte ca ar³p±vacare ca µhapetv± sabbepi brahm±no assosu½; sutv± ca saddamanuss±vesunti veditabbo. Itiha tena khaºen±ti eva½ tena sudinnassa ajjh±c±rakkhaºena. Tena muhutten±ti ajjh±c±ramuhutteneva. Y±va brahmalok±ti y±va akaniµµhabrahmalok±. Abbhuggacch²ti abhi-uggacchi abbhuµµh±si ekakol±halamahos²ti.
Putta½ vij±y²ti suvaººabimbasadisa½ pacchimabhavikasatta½ janesi. B²jakoti n±mamaka½s³ti na añña½ n±ma½ k±tumada½su, “b²jakampi deh²”ti m±t±mahiy± vuttabh±vassa p±kaµatt± “b²jako tvevassa n±ma½ hot³”ti “b²jako”ti n±mamaka½su. Puttassa pana n±mavaseneva ca m±t±pit³nampissa n±mamaka½su. Te aparena samayen±ti b²jakañca b²jakam±tarañca sandh±ya vutta½. B²jakassa kira sattaµµhavassak±le tassa m±t± bhikkhun²su so ca bhikkh³su pabbajitv± kaly±ºamitte upaniss±ya arahatte patiµµhahi½su. Tena vutta½– “ubho ag±rasm± anag±riya½ pabbajitv± arahatta½ sacch±ka½s³”ti.
37. Eva½ m±t±putt±na½ pabbajj± saphal± ahosi. Pit± pana vippaµis±r±bhibh³to vih±si. Tena vutta½– “atha kho ±yasmato sudinnassa-ahudeva kukkuccan”ti-±di. Tattha ahudev±ti ahu eva, dak±ro padasandhikaro. Ahosiyev±ti attho. Kukkuccanti ajjh±c±rahetuko pacch±nut±po. Vippaµis±rotipi tasseva n±ma½. So hi viññ³hi akattabbat±ya kucchitakiriyabh±vato kukkucca½. Kata½ ajjh±c±ra½ nivattetu½ asamatthat±ya ta½ paµicca vir³pa½ saraºabh±vato vippaµis±roti vuccati. Al±bh± vata meti mayha½ vata al±bh±; ye jh±n±d²na½ guº±na½ al±bh± n±ma, te mayha½, na aññass±ti adhipp±yo. Na vata me l±bh±ti yepi me paµiladdh± pabbajjasaraºagamanasikkh±sam±d±naguº±, tepi neva mayha½ l±bh± ajjh±c±ramal²natt±. Dulladdha½ vata meti ida½ s±sana½ laddhampi me dulladdha½. Na vata me suladdhanti yath± aññesa½ kulaputt±na½, eva½ na vata me suladdha½. Kasm±? Yamaha½ eva½ sv±kkh±tedhammavinaye…pe… brahmacariya½ caritunti. Brahmacariyanti sikkhattayasaªgahita½ maggabrahmacariya½. Kiso ahos²ti kh±ditu½ v± bhuñjitu½ v± asakkonto tanuko ahosi appama½salohito Uppaº¹uppaº¹ukaj±toti sañj±tuppaº¹uppaº¹ukabh±vo paº¹upal±sappaµibh±go. Dhamanisanthatagattoti pariy±dinnama½salohitatt± sir±j±leneva santharitagatto. Antomanoti anusocanavasena abbhantareyeva µhitacitto. Hadayavatthu½ niss±ya pavattanavasena pana sabbepi antoman±yeva. L²namanoti uddese paripucch±ya kammaµµh±ne adhis²le adhicitte adhipaññ±ya vattapaµipattip³raºe ca nikkhittadhuro avipph±riko aññadatthu kosajjavaseneva l²no saªkucito mano ass±ti l²namano. Dukkh²ti cetodukkhena dukkh². Dummanoti dosena duµµhamano, vir³pamano v± domanass±bhibh³tat±ya. Pajjh±y²ti vippaµis±ravasena vahacchinno viya gadrabho ta½ ta½ cintayi.
38. Sah±yak± bhikkh³ti ta½ eva½bh³ta½ gaºasaªgaºik±papañcena v²tin±menta½ disv± yassa viss±sik± kath±ph±suk± bhikkh³ te na½ etadavocu½. P²ºindriyoti pas±dapatiµµh±nok±sassa sampuººatt± paripuººacakkhu-±di-indriyo. So d±ni tvanti ettha d±n²ti nip±to, so pana tvanti vutta½ hoti. Kaccino tvanti kacci nu tva½ Anabhiratoti ukkaºµhito; gihibh±va½ patthayam±noti attho. Tasm± tameva anabhirati½ paµikkhipanto ±ha– “na kho aha½, ±vuso, anabhirato”ti. Adhikusal±na½ pana dhamm±na½ bh±van±ya abhiratova ahanti Atthi me p±pakamma½ katanti may± kata½ eka½ p±pakamma½ atthi upalabbhati sa½vijjati, niccak±la½ abhimukha½ viya me tiµµhati. Atha na½ pak±sento “pur±ºadutiyik±y±”ti-±dim±ha.
Alañhi te, ±vuso sudinna, kukkucc±y±ti ±vuso sudinna, tuyheta½ p±pakamma½ ala½ samattha½ kukkucc±ya; paµibala½ kukkucca½ upp±detunti vutta½ hoti. Ya½ tvanti ±dimhi yena p±pena tva½ na sakkhissasi brahmacariya½ caritu½, ta½ te p±pa½ ala½ kukkucc±y±ti eva½ sambandho veditabbo. Atha na½ anus±sant± “nanu ±vuso bhagavat±”ti-±dim±ha½su. Tattha nan³ti anumatiggahaºatthe nip±to. Anekapariy±yen±ti anekak±raºena. Vir±g±y±ti vir±gatth±ya. No sar±g±y±ti no r±gena rajjanatth±ya. Bhagavat± hi “ima½ me dhamma½ sutv± satt± sabbabhavabhogesu virajjissanti, no rajjissant²” etadatth±ya dhammo desitoti adhipp±yo. Esa nayo sabbapadesu. Ida½ panettha pariy±yavacanamatta½. Visa½yog±y±ti kilesehi visa½yujjanatth±ya. No sa½yog±y±ti na sa½yujjanatth±ya. Anup±d±n±y±ti aggahaºatth±ya. No sa-up±d±n±y±ti na saªgahaºatth±ya.
Tattha n±ma tvanti tasmi½ n±ma tva½. Sar±g±ya cetessas²ti saha r±gena vattam±n±ya methunadhamm±ya cetessasi kappessasi pakappessasi; etadattha½ v±yamissas²ti attho. Esa nayo sabbattha. Puna r±gavir±g±d²ni nava pad±ni nibbattitalokuttaranibb±nameva sandh±ya vutt±ni. Tasm± r±gavir±g±y±ti v± madanimmadan±y±ti v± vuttepi “nibb±natth±y±”ti evameva attho daµµhabbo. Nibb±nañhi yasm± ta½ ±gamma ±rabbha paµicca r±go virajjati na hoti, tasm± r±gavir±goti vuccati. Yasm± pana ta½ ±gamma m±namada-purisamad±dayo mad± nimmad± amad± honti vinassanti, tasm± madanimmadananti vuccati. Yasm± ca ta½ ±gamma sabb±pi k±mapip±s± vinaya½ abbhattha½ y±ti, tasm± pip±savinayoti vuccati. Yasm± pana ta½ ±gamma pañca k±maguº±lay± samuggh±ta½ gacchanti, tasm± ±layasamuggh±toti vuccati. Yasm± ca ta½ ±gamma tebh³makavaµµa½ upacchijjati, tasm± vaµµupacchedoti vuccati. Yasm± pana ta½ ±gamma sabbaso taºh± khaya½ gacchati virajjati nirujjhati ca, tasm± taºhakkhayo vir±go nirodhoti vuccati. Yasm± paneta½ catasso yoniyo, pañca gatiyo, satta viññ±ºaµµhitiyo, nava ca satt±v±se, apar±parabh±v±ya vinanato ±bandhanato sa½sibbanato v±nanti laddhavoh±r±ya taºh±ya nikkhanta½ nissaµa½ visa½yutta½, tasm± nibb±nanti vuccat²ti.
K±m±na½ pah±na½ akkh±tanti vatthuk±m±na½, kilesak±m±nañca pah±na½ vutta½. K±masaññ±na½ pariññ±ti sabb±sampi k±masaññ±na½ ñ±tat²raºapah±navasena tividh± pariññ± akkh±t±. K±mapip±s±nanti k±mesu p±tabyat±na½ k±me v± p±tumicch±na½. K±mavitakk±nanti k±mupasañhit±na½vitakk±na½. K±mapari¼±h±nanti pañcak±maguºikar±gavasena uppannapari¼±h±na½ antod±h±na½. Imesu pañcasu µh±nesu kilesakkhayakaro lokuttaramaggova kathito. Sabbapaµhamesu pana t²su µh±nesu lokiyalokuttaramissako maggo kathitoti veditabbo.
Neta½ ±vusoti na eta½ ±vuso, tava p±pakamma½ appasann±nañca pas±d±ya evar³p±na½ pas±datth±ya na hoti. Atha khvetanti atha kho eta½. Atha kho tantipi p±µho. Aññathatt±y±ti pas±daññath±bh±v±ya vippaµis±r±ya hoti. Ye maggena an±gatasaddh±, tesa½ vippaµis±ra½ karoti– “²disepi n±ma dhammavinaye maya½ pasann±, yattheva½ duppaµipann± bhikkh³”ti. Ye pana maggen±gatasaddh±, tesa½ sineru viya v±tehi acalo pas±do ²disehi vatth³hi ito v± d±ruºatarehi. Tena vutta½– “ekacc±na½ aññathatt±y±”ti.
