424. Tena samayena buddho bhagav±ti dubbacasikkh±pada½. Tattha an±c±ra½ ±carat²ti anekappak±ra½ k±yavac²dv±rav²tikkama½ karoti. Ki½ nu kho n±m±ti vambhanavacanameta½. Aha½ kho n±m±ti ukka½savacana½. Tumhe vadeyyanti “ida½ karotha, ida½ m± karoth±”ti aha½ tumhe vattu½ arah±m²ti dasseti. Kasm±ti ce? Yasm± amh±ka½ buddho bhagav± kaºµaka½ ±ruyha may± saddhi½ nikkhamitv± pabbajitoti-evam±dimattha½ sandh±y±ha. “Amh±ka½ dhammo”ti vatv± pana attano santakabh±ve yutti½ dassento “amh±ka½ ayyaputtena dhammo abhisamito”ti ±ha. Yasm± amh±ka½ ayyaputtena catusaccadhammo paµividdho, tasm± dhammopi amh±kanti vutta½ hoti. Saªgha½ pana attano veripakkhe µhita½ maññam±no amh±ka½ saªghoti na vadati. Upama½ pana vatv± saªgha½ apas±detuk±mo “seyyath±pi n±m±”ti-±dim±ha. Tiºakaµµhapaººasaµanti tattha tattha patita½ tiºakaµµhapaººa½. Atha v± tiºañca niss±raka½ lahuka½ kaµµhañca tiºakaµµha½. Paººasaµanti pur±ºapaººa½. Uss±reyy±ti r±si½ kareyya.
Pabbateyy±ti pabbatappabhav±, s± hi s²ghasot± hoti, tasm± tameva gaºh±ti. Saªkhasev±lapaºakanti ettha saªkhoti d²gham³lako paººasev±lo vuccati. Sev±loti n²lasev±lo, avaseso udakapappaµakatilab²jak±di sabbopi paºakoti saªkhya½ gacchati. Ekato uss±rit±ti ekaµµh±ne ken±pi sampiº¹it± r±s²kat±ti dasseti.

Dovacassakaraºeh²ti dubbacabh±vakaraº²yehi, ye dhamm± dubbaca½ puggala½ karonti, tehi samann±gatoti attho. Te pana “katame ca, ±vuso, dovacassakaraº± dhamm±?
